The single "Pick Me Up" marks a new start for the esteemed Copenhagen-based rock band Stella Blackrose. It's still rock that is the lifeblood of the band, but the single portents a new, more poppy version of the band. Danish band Stella Blackrose has been in the labour camp to reinvent themselves and develop the sound that has already been struck on the first two albums. Rock music is still the foundation of the new style, but inspiration from bands like Paramore and Biffy Clyro is not denied an entrance. In the wake of the band's first two albums "Kiss the Dirt" (2010) and "Death & Forever" (2012) followed countless great reviews, lots of touring activity and a series of festival gigs - including Smukfest (second biggest festival in Denmark) where the national daily paper BT credited a 5-starred review under the heading "Stella Blackrose are the new stars" - as well as live performances on national Danish television. For the last year the band has been writing songs for the yet unnamed third album. A couple of these has been presented on a spring tour in Denmark with a never before seen acoustic constellation, performing stripped down versions of their songs. A rock band that stands out In front is still Rebecca Lou Armstrong, who with her devil-may-care vocals and poetic lyrics universe, invites the listener into a world of melancholy that also are recognizable from the first two albums. The vulnerable and honest lyrics are well preserved in the band's DNA, but a renewed positivity has sneaked in and presents a rock band that are not afraid to stand out, but at the same time write about something as trivial as love. "Pick Me Up” is homage to the person that bothers to stand by your side when you are feeling most imperfect. A reminder of that there’s beauty in our mistakes, and to find someone who can see through the insecurity and love it, is a gift.” Rebecca explains. See the video below. Stella Blackrose - Pick Me Up (official music video) Rebecca is backed up by established names on the Danish music scene: Steven Ardilsø on bass, Jakob Gundel on drums and Anders Bo Jespersen on guitar. "Pick Me Up" is the front-runner for the third album that currently is in the process of recording. www.facebook.com/StellaBlackroseOfficial www.stellablackrose.dk

One of the more recent highly anticipated new bands, Nightmares, have announced that their début record "Suspiria" will be released June 2nd, 2014, via Rise Records. The band have also released new music in the form of "Cujo" which is taken from their forthcoming album. Nightmares will also hit the road on the Rise Records and Friends tour this spring. Fans can check out "Cujo" and pre-order the new album here. The epic and urgently dark new album features eleven of the most viciously powerful songs Nightmares have ever recorded. Carrying the emotional and psychological weight of a horror movie soundtrack, the ride begins with the blistering track "Frontiers" which uses an intricate digital manipulation of cinematic sound effects to set the tone of the record. Tracks like "Hands of the Ripper", "Suspiria", and "Carnival of Souls" are deeply filled with raw emotions which keep fans on their toes as they explore the various elements and layers that are true to Nightmare's sound. Front-man Carter Hardin expresses his delight: "We are thrilled to be announcing our début full-length "Suspiria" today, this record is the product of two years of work and we can't wait to share it with you. Our new song "Cujo" is a personal favourite. I wrote it about a Christian school I attended whilst growing up in a society where they forced their beliefs down our throats and wouldn't let anyone question anything. The main message behind the song it to not let anyone force you to believe something... draw your own conclusions and find truth for yourself, whatever that may be". Nightmares recorded "Suspiria" over the course of a full year with Drew Fulk at Think Sound Studios in Greensboro, North Carolina. The band also brought in heavy - hitter producer and engineer, David Bendeth (Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice and Men, Asking Alexandria) to mix the album at House of Loud in Elmwood Park NJ. The Atlanta based five piece recently released a provocative new video for "In the Mouth of Madness" featuring Tyler Carter of the band Issues, which saw over 250,000 views within the first week of release. Nightmares will take the stage starting April 30, 2014 on the Rise Records and Friends tour with PVIRS, Alive Like Me, and Tamerlane. "Suspiria" Track Listing: 01. Frontiers 02. "To have Robby Krieger from The Doors play on my first ever solo record was surreal. Not only was it surreal, but to be the first artist ever to record in his brand new studio Horse Latitudes in Los Angeles made it even more special. I am honored, and humbled by his professionalism and talent and will never forget that experience for the rest of my life......it truly made the song "Her Bullets Energy" better, not to mention the entire record." comments John Garcia.
