Hungarian instrumental, experimental progressive rock band Ghost Toast released a new music video "Last Man" and it's available here: https://youtu.be/OdYJBONwfHo "Last Man" is taken from the critically-acclaimed "Out of This World" album which was released June 7th 2017 by Inverse Records. The song was inspired by the novel I Am Legend by Richard Matheson, and two movie adaptations (Last Man on Earth and Omega Man), the speech samples are from these movies as well. We tried to represent the dramatic mood of the story, gradually built up from beginning to end.The music video is directed, shot and edited by Tamás Varga from Brownhandfilm. "The Last Man character in the video is played by Ghost Toast's drummer (László Papp). The parallel between him and Vincent Price from the Last Man on Earth movie is the main concept of the video. The video was shot in extreme hot weather and László cut himself during it, so we almost literally gave blood, sweat and tears to make this music video" says the guitarist Rózsavölgyi Bence. The band is currently writing new material for their fourth full-length album. The release date is announced later in 2018..

Ghost Toast released a first single "Gordius" from their upcoming third album "Out Of This World". The album is released June 7th 2017 via Inverse Records. Listen to the single on Spotify: http://spoti.fi/2q7ORlt and check their music video out from here: http://bit.ly/2qaDpni Ghost Toast is an instrumental, experimental progressive rock band from Debrecen, Hungary, formed in 2008. They love heavy, trippy music and film scores as well, so they use these elements to create their own music. With their 3rd album, the band used elements of heavy prog rock, world music, folk, and electronic music. The songs on are connected by a loose concept - a connection between fantasy and some mythological themes (influenced by the Dark Tower saga by Stephen King, Dune by Frank Herbert, I am legend by Richard Matheson, Greek mythology, etc.). The band names following artists as their influencers Tool, Faith No More, Mastodon, Crippled Black Phoenix, Ulver, Special Providence, Oceansize, Jaga Jazzist, Shpongle, Orbital, Ott, Plaid, Future Sound Of London, various film score composers (like Ennio Morricone, Jeremy Soule). So this tells that it is quite impossible to describe their music, you'll need to experience it by yourself! The song "Saudade" is exclusively streaming via the official media partners listed below.
Sylvaine comments: "The track 'Saudade' showcases the more ambient side of 'Wistful'. I always refer to this song as 'the dirge', as the mix of my father's constant hypnotic marching pattern on the drums and the dark ambience of the music, gives the feeling of a funeral march. Musically it is very minimalist and lyrically, this might be one of my favorites on the album." Track-listing 1. Delusions 2. Earthbound 3. A Ghost Trapped In Limbo 4. Saudade 5. In The Wake Of Moments Passed By 6. Like A Moth To A Flame 7. Wistful Line-up Sylvaine: vocals, synthesizers, guitars, bass, drums, percussion www.sylvainemusic.com www.facebook.com/sylvainemusic |
