You can watch itHERE Written and self-produced by frontman Jay Kay and Jamiroquai keyboard-maestro Matt Johnson, the disco-drenched summer anthem marks the band's first single since the album landed at #No.1 on iTunes in 38 countries across the world and top three in 5 earlier this year. Inspired by the visual themes behind Automaton and how we as humans interact with the rise of artificial intelligence and technology in our world today, 'Superfresh' perfectly marries electronic music with bass-heavy classic soul to create the English outfit's groundbreaking sound. It's been an incredible return for the band since the release of 'Automaton', their first record in over nine years, on March 31st. In addition to the album's incredible chart success, the band have sold out their first live dates in over seven years within thirty seconds, have trended globally on each announcement and received massive support at UK radio, including #26 on airplay charts and are #1 on iTunes Pre-Orders. Driven with the band’s signature, unique blend of spiralling synth melodies, walls of guitar and evocative vocals, the new songs range from dark, aggressive anthems to danceable, pretty pop and hit all the bases that audiences have come to expect. However, there is also a rawness to the emotion being expressed, an openness and vulnerability that feels new. One thing that is clearer than ever, however, is the tight bond that exists between the band members and their willingness to explore heartbreak and loss together. With these songs, they have entered the darkness of their most fragile emotions and returned with a cohesive and detailed musical portrait that captures both the anger and hope that exist within a moment in time. The Birthday Massacre continue to make music that is so very unique to them. Once again, they have managed to create an album that somehow feels so familiar, yet challenges the listener to continue alongside them on their ever-changing, ever-growing journey. The Birthday Massacre have made a second song from their upcoming new album available to hear:- New song ‘One’ available now via this link : http://bit.ly/2pWPM4D The Birthday Massacre chose the colour violet for all their subsequent artwork (after their 'Violet' EP), stating that “Violet is the colour of the tragic comedy. We associate it with fantasy and melancholy. These themes make up much of the band’s lyrical inspiration. The colour also mirrors our sound dynamic. Our music mixes contrasting elements. In turn, violet is the sum of two contrasting colours: Red and Blue.” thebirthdaymassacre.com https://www.facebook.com/TheBirthdayMassacre/ Fans of Angelspit and Lorelei Dreaming successfully crowdfunded the EP 'BANSHEE' in 6 hours. Now they have their sights set on a new stretch goal - if they reach $5000 they'll do another track, a video and host a free party in Chicago for all backers. Produced and composed by Angelspit's Zoog Von Rock, BANSHEE is Lorelei Dreaming’s debut EP with 5 tracks and 10 remixes, set to release on May 1, 2017 - a celebration of the Dystopian Future. Lorelei Dreaming spent 2015 and 2016 recording and performing with Angelspit, Velvet Acid Christ, Go-Fight and St. Griselda. "The future is uncertain - but what is certain is that music and dance will continue to be integral to our community in the face of adversity. Now more than ever, we need to celebrate our diversity and come together through dance and music. The grim future never sounded so good!" - Lorelei "We both love Gary Numan, Goldfrapp, Depeche Mode - future pop with a twist of darkness, which we call Dystopian Future Pop. We're working to create music based around what Laura naturally does, vocals that are a little sultry and ethereal." - Zoog Von Rock, Angelspit The songs of Lorelei Dreaming hinge on mischief, dissent, pushing out ever further, and at times get glibly political.
