It has been rumoured for a long time and now it’s official: Folk metal superstars Eluveitie are working on their next album! And it will be the long expected second part of their acoustic-concept “Evocation”!

The band plans to start the studio recording at the end of the year and to release the album next spring!

Mastermind Chrigel Glanzmann comments:

“We’re looking forward to “Evocation”! The concept of the album sticks in our head already for years and it has matured a lot. Our second acoustic-album will continue the tradition of the first one but it will be even more rough, folk and mystic! It will be the Celtic mythology in its pure culture, formed into music!”

Guitar player Rafael Salzmann adds:

“Exactly! We’re really motivated and creative as well. “Evocation II” will become definitely a folk-album filed in details!”

The band has also announced their first Swiss acoustic tour of 2016: Throughout these shows, Eluveitie will deliver exclusive tasters of what fans can expect from the new record in the form of some brand-new material.
This special tour will take place in Das Zelt - Chapiteau PostFinance and will bring Eluveitie to the following cities:

23.09.  CH       DAS ZELT - Chapiteau PostFinance, Brig - Rhonesandterrain
07.10.  CH       DAS ZELT - Chapiteau PostFinance, Solothurn - Pier 11
05.11.  CH       DAS ZELT - Chapiteau PostFinance, Luzern - Alpenquai

Eluveitie will also play songs off their current record, Origins.

USA's Robots & Monsters are to independently release their new EP‏

New Jersey-based metal / hardcore quartet, Robots & Monsters, will independently issue their new EP, "Nothing To Fear Nothing To Fight", the first week of September, while the band books shows through the Summer months in preparation of the record's release.

While the band is influenced by the music they grew up on -- Anthrax, Slayer, Nuclear Assault, and other key figureheads of the 1980's / 90's thrash metal explosion -- Robots & Monsters owns a sound that deftly combines the commanding crunch of metal with the groove, punch, and emotion of hardcore and post-hardcore, a trait which finds the band comfortably sharing bills populated with any type of aggressive music.

The follow-up to their 2015-released debut album, "Down To Ash" -- which was a "Pick of the Week" on That Metal Show and debuted at #23 on CMJ's Loud Rock chart -- the upcoming Robots & Monsters EP "Nothing To Fear Nothing To Fight" follows a concept about battling your own mind, the theme backed by high-energy metal and dosed with old-school hardcore. The seven-song storyline was recorded at Portrait Recording Studios with engineer John Ferrara, and mastered by Chris Badami, and features art by bassist Bill Bergmann.

Robots & Monsters will independently release the "Nothing To Fear Nothing To Fight" EP on CD and digital formats September 2nd; pre-orders are available via the band HERE with pre-orders via all standard digital carriers to be available in the coming days, alongside audio samples from the record and more.

Nothing To Fear Nothing To Fight Track Listing:

1. King Of The World
2. Passenger
3. Communique

USA's September Mourning set to release Sumerian Records debut in July and re-release comic book series

September Mourning
will release their Sumerian Records debut "Volume II", on July 29th. Physical pre-orders are now available at www.sumerianmerch.com along with digital pre-orders on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play.

Check out the video for "Eye Of The Storm" here.

The brainchild of Emily Lazar (aka "September Mourning") and acclaimed American comic book artist and publisher Marc Silvestri (X-Men, Witchblade, The Darkness), September Mourning's "Volume II" picks up where 2015's self-released EP "Volume I" left off.

Like it's predecessor, "Volume II" will be accompanied by the second issue of September Mourning's comic book series on Top Cow Productions.

“For me, the project is a story, a theatrical art piece. Music is the backbone, but for this to work, it has to include the imagery and the narrative all symbiotically linked into the whole," explains Lazar.

"Volume II is a continuation of the first step in our journey which began with our self released EP, Volume I and A Murder of Reapers, the first issue of our comic book. Volume II follows our hero, September Mourning's tale throughout the second issue of the comic book entitled, The Hand of Fate. Both forms of media intertwine to create a musical and visual story mosaic for your eyes and ears. Although September's character is fictional, both the emotional landscape of the music and the message behind her lyric come from a very vulnerable place inside of me. In this album, I intertwined these supernatural characters with my own very real, relatable thoughts and feelings. There are pieces of myself magnified in every dynamic shift and bombastic hook in this album and you feel that when you listen. The world that's created promises you an epic ride."

September Mourning will tour consistently worldwide throughout 2016 and into 2017 in support of the new album.

Nightmares debut album "Suspiria" poised to drop 2nd June via Rise Records

16/4/2014

One of the more recent highly anticipated new bands, Nightmares, have announced that their début record "Suspiria" will be released June 2nd, 2014, via Rise Records. The band have also released new music in the form of "Cujo" which is taken from their forthcoming album. Nightmares will also hit the road on the Rise Records and Friends tour this spring.

Fans can check out "Cujo" and pre-order the new album here.

The epic and urgently dark new album features eleven of the most viciously powerful songs Nightmares have ever recorded. Carrying the emotional and psychological weight of a horror movie soundtrack, the ride begins with the blistering track "Frontiers" which uses an intricate digital manipulation of cinematic sound effects to set the tone of the record.

Tracks like "Hands of the Ripper", "Suspiria", and "Carnival of Souls"  are deeply filled with raw emotions which keep fans on their toes as they explore the various elements and layers that are true to Nightmare's sound.

Front-man Carter Hardin expresses his delight:

"We are thrilled to be announcing our début full-length "Suspiria" today, this record is the product of two years of work and we can't wait to share it with you. Our new song "Cujo" is a personal favourite.  I wrote it about a Christian school I attended whilst growing up in a society where they forced their beliefs down our throats and wouldn't let anyone question anything. The main message behind the song it to not let anyone force you to believe something... draw your own conclusions and find truth for yourself, whatever that may be".

Nightmares recorded "Suspiria" over the course of a full year with Drew Fulk at Think Sound Studios in Greensboro, North Carolina. The band also brought in heavy - hitter producer and engineer, David Bendeth (Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice and Men, Asking Alexandria) to mix the album at House of Loud in Elmwood Park NJ.

The Atlanta based five piece recently released a provocative new video for "In the Mouth of Madness" featuring Tyler Carter of the band Issues, which saw over 250,000 views within the first week of release. Nightmares will take the stage starting April 30, 2014 on the Rise Records and Friends tour with PVIRS, Alive Like Me, and Tamerlane.

"Suspiria" Track Listing:

01. Frontiers
02. Let The Right One In
03. In The Mouth Of Madness (feat. Tyler Carter)
04. Tourist Trap
05. Cujo
06. Carnival Of Souls
07. Enter The Void
08. The Tommyknockers
09. Hands Of The Ripper
10. Suspiria
11. Irreversible

Swedish fuzz rockers Truckfighters are to unleash limited edition vinyl EP via Last Hurrah Records; preorders now available

BAND FICTION: Truckfighters were employed to wrestle with a Skania long-haulage truck and trailer

Treading the trenches of heaviness somewhere between Fu Manchu and Queens Of The Stone Age, to hear Truckfighters is to hear the sounds of the desert; it's in their wide open expanses, grand open grooves and dust-caked metal riffs. You can hear progression and imagination; a band bred on the California badlands, on sprawling vistas and parched wilderness. The dynamic trio however hail from Örebro. Unafraid to plough their own furrow, Truckfighters have forged ahead and spend months on the road touring the world. Closing in on four-hundred gigs across four continents (Europe, Australia, and North and South America), being in front of crowds, sweat-sodden and crazed is where they are happiest. It's why a Truckfighters show is such a wild, free-form, charged affair.

The band's forthcoming new full-length is slated for release next year and includes the track "The Chairman," hence "The Chairman Special Edition" EP. Delivering over thirty minutes of pure power fuzz, the EP features the title track plus three live tunes -- "Desert Cruiser," "Monte Gangano," and "Traffic" -- all recorded while on tour in Australia. Presented at 45 RPM for best sound quality on a multi-colored vinyl 12-inch, "The Chairman Special Edition" EP comes in a full-color sleeve and jacket limited to 500 copies worldwide and only available from Last Hurrah Records. The jacket cover artwork has spot UV gloss, spot PMS, and silver metallic ink designed by artist Lindsey Kuhn and comes in two different vinyl colors: Desert Sunset and Desert Sunrise, each a mix of opaque and translucent colors (250 of each color).

Preorders are now available for the Truckfighters "The Chairman Special Edition" EP courtesy of Last Hurrah Records at THIS LOCATION where you can also check out a video for the title track!

"...The power and charm to make society grind to a halt..." -- Kerrang!!!

"Putting more rock energy into a single performance than a good proportion of bands do into a career's worth of shows..." --Terrorizer
