Copenhagen-based modern hardcore group Psy:Code have released the official video for "Paralyzed," a track from new album Mørke. The band issued the following statement about the video: "We've chosen not to appear in this video, but to keep focus on the emotions that fit the song perfectly. With this amount of videos, it is important for us that they are very different. The video is made from the short film 'Unwind' which has been cut to pieces, and assembled to fit the track. The song is about a dear friend who we almost lost due to a critical surgery. We hope you enjoy this short emotional ride." Psy:code is a band driven by a desire to reach beyond its own boundaries. The band's first two releases, Delusion and Cause and Neglect, were met with critical acclaim by critics worldwide. The praise was not met with complacency and Psy:code set the bar higher when writing their third album. Mørke is a natural progression, but remains grounded in the roots planted by its predecessors. Over the years Psy:Code has supported several major acts, including Slayer, Mastodon, Amon Amarth, Trivium, Gorefest, Illdisposed and Artillery. The band has toured extensively in their native Denmark and throughout Europe. www.facebook.com/psycodedk pavementmusic.com

About the new album the band says: “'Distance' draws the mark of the falling. 'Distance' is the space between aimless strain and rebirth. Only scars show the sign of change on your skin. 'Distance' is an image of us.”. Danish hardcore trio Halshug's scathing new full-length, Sort Sind, sees release today via Southern Lord and you can now hear it ahead of its release over at Team Rock. Splenetic and snarling throughout, Sort Sind features nine sharp and gritty new tracks that expresses boundless vehemence proving this to be a great feat for the band. Hear Sort Sind now at THIS LOCATION. The theme of Sort Sind is inspired by the members' experiences growing up in the 1990s and 2000s in neglected parts of Denmark, hoping to in some way contribute to their scene and invoke some energy in those who hear it. Fitting into this storyline are the previously released singles "Vold," which translates to violence, and according to the members of Halshug is about psychic terror and "Udskud," which also clearly displays the tumult and unrest the band has captured in their second full-length. The album's title, Sort Sind, translates to "black mind." A brutal rock record, Sort Sind bears hints of motorcycle-fuelled d-beat while still retaining the raw punk that made the sound on their Blodets Bånd debut so potent, the songs showing an even more destructive and elevated approach to their songwriting. Recorded live, produced and mixed at Ballade Studios by Lasse Ballade, who also produced and mixed Blodets Bånd, the Sort Sind LP was mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. Southern Lord will issue Halshug's Sort Sind on CD, LP, and digital platforms today. Following their recent performances at Roskilde Festival and more throughout Denmark, followed most recently by their first US shows with a brief East Coast tour in August, further live actions from Halshug are impending, including a record release show on October 7th and more. Halshug Live: 10/07/2016 BumZen - København, DK *record release show [info] 11/25/2016 Stubborn Fest - Barcelona, ES [info] "It's made of monster riffs, thundering percussion, body-moving bass, and skin-stripping vocal fury. There's a sense of physical power and bodily impact in the way the music hits the ears. It's supercharged with energy - and yes, it is indeed a violent kind of energy, with an almost anthemic aura." - No Clean Singing https://www.facebook.com/halshugcph http://www.southernlord.com http://www.facebook.com/SLadmin |
