London-based Drones are set to play a special, free entry headline show at the unique Tamesis Dock in London on 28th Nov to celebrate the announcement of their new album ‘Exiled’. The record will be released via Lockjaw Records early next year. Produced by Drones guitarist Tim Kramer at Signal House Studios, ‘Exiled’ is the first full length from Drones to feature the current line-up.
 
As vocalist Lois McDougall explains, "Exiled is a collection of songs that we began writing after being struck by the misery of the European refugee crisis. Some of the songs are written from the perspectives of fictional characters of those impacted by the crisis, and others of those who prefer to distance themselves from it. Millions of people are suffering every day and it's a subject that should be kept at the forefront of all of our minds. Music is a great platform for personal connection. We've taken a subject that can so easily be viewed as a distant-seeming 'world-issue', and tried to make it more personal. In doing so, we hope that people may feel more compassion for the victims, and that those suffering may find an ounce of comfort in these songs. Exiled is dedicated to those fleeing any war-torn country."
 
‘Territories’ was a first glimpse at the visceral content within the album and can be heard alongside its hard-hitting music video here. Stay tuned for more music launching around the just-announced London show. Drones are also set to play Manchester Punk Festival in April next year alongside Propagandhi and more plus there will be further live dates announced.  
 
Drones’ previously purely-punk-inspired oeuvre has given way to something that’s further reaching in terms of genre, drawing upon a wider “rock” influence. From playing underground squats to appearing on festival stages, Drones have seen a lot of live action during their career to date and this is not set to let up. The band have already supported the likes of Marmozets, Neck Deep, Gallows, Funeral For A Friend, Heck and H2O, and played Download Festival this year, as well as packing out their own headline shows.

Copenhagen-based modern hardcore group Psy:Code have released the official video for "Paralyzed," a track from new album Mørke. The band issued the following statement about the video: "We've chosen not to appear in this video, but to keep focus on the emotions that fit the song perfectly. With this amount of videos, it is important for us that they are very different. The video is made from the short film 'Unwind' which has been cut to pieces, and assembled to fit the track. The song is about a dear friend who we almost lost due to a critical surgery. We hope you enjoy this short emotional ride."

Psy:code is a band driven by a desire to reach beyond its own boundaries. The band's first two releases, Delusion and Cause and Neglect, were met with critical acclaim by critics worldwide. Weezer have released another taste of their forthcoming eleventh album, Pacific Daydream, released on Crush Music/Atlantic Records on October 27th, 2017. The song - a sunlight-tinted, retro-glorious track called “Weekend Woman” - can be heard HERE. “Weekend Woman” follows the release of two other Pacific Daydream standout songs - “Mexican Fender” and “Beach Boys” - as well as the album’s massive first single, “Feels Like Summer,” which hit #1 at Alternative Radio.  

Produced by Butch Walker, Pacific Daydream is the follow up to the critically acclaimed album Weezer (The White Album), which was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rock Album at the end of last year. 

Following the release of Weezer (The White Album), the band began working on what they called “The Black Album,” but as they worked, they found the songs they were writing felt more like reveries from a beach at the end of the world. Instead of forcing a different direction, they began an entirely new album; Pacific Daydream was born. Frontman Rivers Cuomo brings this decision back to a Chinese proverb he says inspired the design behind the entire record:  

     Once upon a time, I, Chuang Chou, dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was Chou. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.

Pacific Daydream - an album full of the melodic mastery and craftsmanship for which Weezer are known - is a record that navigates the uncertainty between reality and dreams, blurring the line between the listener knowing if they are daydreaming the world of the album, or if the world of the album is daydreaming them. It’s a record about finding the grey area between the black and the white, about escaping the everyday into the fantasy of what may be just down the line, but also maybe isn’t. It’s an album that sounds like the Beach Boys and The Clash fell in love by the ocean and had one hell of an amazing baby. It’s Weezer doing all the things they do best and then some.

International sensation Tash Sultana reveals a brand new single, ‘Mystik’ released via Sony Columbia. The Australian singer recently made her US TV debut, on Late Night with Seth Meyer - watch her performance of ‘Jungle’ here. Tash returns to the UK later this month, playing a sold out show at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on October 29.

'Mystik' was written recently in Tash’s home studio whilst on a break from touring the globe for the last 18 months. Once again Tash played every instrument on the recording, with the addition of a new saxophone she picked up and learnt to play a week before recording. The song was tracked and mixed with ‘Notion EP’ engineer Nikita Miltiadou at Melbourne’s own Smooch studios. The single will feature on Tash’s highly anticipated debut record due in 2018.
