Farewell My Love's "Mirror, Mirror" video now on MTV

MTV has added the latest video from Phoenix, AZ theatrical rockers Farewell, My Love. To check out “Mirror, Mirror” visit: http://www.mtv.com/videos/farewell-my-love/963493/mirror-mirror.jhtml.

The band recently sat down for a series of video interviews to discuss the songs that make up their new LP, "Gold Tattoos". In the first clip, front man Ryan Howell discusses the inspiration behind the epic lead track, “Afraid of the Dark” here.

Watch for more clips in the weeks ahead!

Farewell My Love’s "Gold Tattoos" is out now on Standby Records and to order Gold Tattoos on iTunes click here:

The conceptual artistry and theatricality of My Chemical Romance, the reckless danger and skillful musicianship of Avenged Sevenfold, the dark mystique and anthem-inducing sing-alongs of AFI and the brash experimentalism and attitude of 30 Seconds to Mars are all components that have a home in the Farewell, My Love manuscript. With forceful determination and wonderfully soaring grandiosity, Farewell, My Love put a unique spin on theatrical hard rock with utmost dedication.

Ryan Howell’s intense and diverse vocals sit atop the heavy, precise and melodic guitar work of Röbby Creasey and Logan Thayer, all ably backed by the percussive but tasteful rhythm section of bassist Charlee Conley and drummer Chad Kowal. Additional instrumentation, including string arrangements and bells, bolster the band’s guitar-driven rock, adding to the artistic atmosphere on display throughout.

“Fans can expect a very theatrical, diverse and deep record,” promises Creasey. “Each of us put our hearts into this and we can not wait to see everyone’s reactions,” adds Kowal.

Farewell, My Love is currently out on the Bad Blood Tour with Blood on the Dance Floor. See dates at the top.

The Melvins premiere "American Cow" via Spin; Tres Cabrones pre-orders available now‏

The Melvins premiere “American Cow,” from the forthcoming album Tres Cabrones (Nov. 5, Ipecac) via Spin (http://www.spin.com/articles/melvins-1983-tres-cabrones-american-cow-ipecac-records-stream/).  Pre-orders for the record are available now here.

“Tres Cabrones is as close as we’re willing to get to the Melvins 1983 line-up,” explained Osborne, of the 12-song album that reunites him, Dale Crover and original drummer Mike Dillard. “The best part is it’s all new songs. I specifically wrote tunes that would be good for these guys to play and it worked out great. We had no interest in rehashing tunes we wrote 30 years ago and chose instead to simply create NEW songs. It worked out perfectly.”

“Making the "Tres Cabrones" record was a real treat indeed. It’s a trip down memory lane complete with debauchery and ultra violence,” said Dillard, who left the band in 1984 only to be replaced by Crover. “After 30 years we release a record with the (almost) original line-up of the band,” added Crover. “I’ve always felt that drummer Mike Dillard was one of us. It’s great that he’s still a piece of the puzzle!  Plus, I get to see what it’s like being the bass player in the Melvins! "Tres Cabrones indeed!”

The Melvins annexed Big Business band members Coady Willis and Jared Warren in 2006 for "(A) Senile Animal" and the quartet has remained in this incarnation for four additional releases including "Everybody Loves Sausages", a covers album released this spring. Not ones to relax, The Melvins introduced Melvins Lite, a version of the band that teams Osborne and Crover with Trevor Dunn (Tomahawk, Mr. Bungle).  Melvins Lite released their debut album, "Freak Puke", in 2012 and subsequently embarked on a 51 date / 51 State (including DC) tour of the United States.

The band most recently celebrated their 30th anniversary with a six-week North American tour.

The Melvins visit Australia with a Dec. 13 performance at the Meredith Music Festival as well as a number of shows with Helmet.

We Are The Physics are set to play a free gig in their home city of Glasgow this weekend as part of Merchant City Festival. They headline 13th Note this Saturday (27th July).

Readers can check out the Facebook event here

Additionally, the band are due to play this year's Doune The Rabbit Hole festival at Cardross Estate near Stirling, performing on Friday. More live dates are set to follow this Autumn.

We Are The Physics' second album, "Your Friend, The Atom" was released back in October of last year, and spawned singles 'Goran Ivanisevic', 'Applied Robotics' and 'Napoleon Loves Josephine'. Most recently, a 7-inch pressing of album track 'Dildonics' was released alongside the never-before-heard B-side, "Welcome Back, Paul Dirac".

What the critics say about "Your Friend, The Atom":

"A splendid second album to make you gasp, giggle, and buzz like a broken television" - BBC

"Packed with jittery, twitching blasts of pop sensibility, couched in thrashing post-punk, surf-rock twang, dance-floor fodder and alien grunge" - Alternative Press

"Almost as great as their titles, and a whole lot catchier" - Kerrang!

"Like Devo lost their mind" - The Skinny

This year will see the noisy Glaswegians hit the big screen with a role in God Help The Girl, the feature film written and directed by Belle & Sebastian's Stuart Murdoch.
