September Mourning will release their Sumerian Records debut "Volume II", on July 29th. Physical pre-orders are now available at www.sumerianmerch.com along with digital pre-orders on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play. Check out the video for "Eye Of The Storm" here. The brainchild of Emily Lazar (aka "September Mourning") and acclaimed American comic book artist and publisher Marc Silvestri (X-Men, Witchblade, The Darkness), September Mourning's "Volume II" picks up where 2015's self-released EP "Volume I" left off. Like it's predecessor, "Volume II" will be accompanied by the second issue of September Mourning's comic book series on Top Cow Productions. “For me, the project is a story, a theatrical art piece. Music is the backbone, but for this to work, it has to include the imagery and the narrative all symbiotically linked into the whole," explains Lazar. "Volume II is a continuation of the first step in our journey which began with our self released EP, Volume I and A Murder of Reapers, the first issue of our comic book. Volume II follows our hero, September Mourning's tale throughout the second issue of the comic book entitled, The Hand of Fate. Both forms of media intertwine to create a musical and visual story mosaic for your eyes and ears. Although September's character is fictional, both the emotional landscape of the music and the message behind her lyric come from a very vulnerable place inside of me. In this album, I intertwined these supernatural characters with my own very real, relatable thoughts and feelings. There are pieces of myself magnified in every dynamic shift and bombastic hook in this album and you feel that when you listen. The world that's created promises you an epic ride." September Mourning will tour consistently worldwide throughout 2016 and into 2017 in support of the new album. Sumerian Records

Tampa, FL hard rock outfit Mr. Bella - fronted by "aggro-diva" Erinmarie Christian - have spent the last few years making a name for themselves as one of Florida's most buzzworthy new acts. Drawing influence from every corner of the melodic modern rock landscape, Mr. Bella creates an engaging, powerful, hook-driven sound that will appeal to the masses and is easily capable of sonically surpassing current radio favourites. Additionally, their performances with rock radio royalty artists such as Sevendust, Sick Puppies, Bush, Buckcherry, Hinder, Hoobastank and more have proven their live potency. After seeing success with the release of their last full length album Cross My Heart, which was produced and engineered by Brett Hestla of Dark New Day and Creed (producer for Tantric and Framing Hanley), the band quickly began working on their next release. Today, Mr. Bella is thrilled to unleash their brand new single and music video from that upcoming, currently untitled release, entitled "Don't Tell Me No". The track is again produced by Brett Hestla and is about not having to follow the same path as everyone else, even if someone tells you it's not "normal". Appropriately, the videos concept depicts struggles with cult mentality. You can watch the video here via PunkNews.org: https://www.punknews.org/article/61080/mr-bella-dont-tell-me-no-punknews-exclusive The "Don't Tell Me No" video was directed and edited by Mr. Bella guitarist Scott Vallina and Corey Gresham of Two by Seven Productions, based in St. Petersburg, FL. "As a band, we discussed not trying to come across as for or against religion, but more about living free of the 'cult mentality'. We relayed that to Scott and Corey, and they achieved that in a video that tells a cool story in a dark and creepy way, but isn't about taking sides. It's about being free to live your life the way you want to," states Amir DaBiri, bassist of Mr. Bella. Mr. Bella guitarist and video director Scott Vallina adds, "Much of the imagery stems from the idea of signing your life away to a cult of any kind, whether it be a satanic cult, as it was believed witches in Salem had literally signed a book, or the people of Jonestown who signed their lives away and joined a cult resulting in their suicides." www.facebook.com/mrbella www.mrbella.com/ www.reverbnation.com/mrbella srcvinyl is giving a retail wide release to Blink 182's "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket" on Deluxe 2xLP Vinyl on August 26. Starting in 1966, Michael Fish forged his reputation by crafting clothes for celebrities, musical and otherwise, including Muhammad Ali, Princess Margaret & Pablo Picasso (!); the business closed in 1974 after a fire consumed the premises, but now the legendary Mr Fish name is back, and Purson are right at the heart of the re-launch – their retro influences and colourful persona, as displayed on latest studio album ‘Desire’s Magic Theatre’, making them the made-in-heaven muse for the latest Mr Fish creations. Indeed, both Cunningham and keyboard player Samuel Robinson have designed their own outfits – including cat-suits plus a pure silk man-dress – in close consultation with British design specialist David Mason, who has revived the Mr Fish name out of 34 Montagu Square, London: a blue-plaque location, dubbed ‘the secret Abbey Road’, that was once home to Jimi Hendrix, as well as Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney (who wrote ‘Eleanor Rigby’ there), John Lennon & Yoko Ono. Meanwhile, July 22ndwill see the release of a new version of the ‘Desire’s Magic Theatre’ album, Purson’s debut outing for Spinefarm Records. Having originally been issued on black vinyl, the LP – drawing inspiration from the rock operas of the late sixties & early seventies – will now be available on ‘Naked Blue’ vinyl for a limited period. Having toured the US with Ghost & The Sword, played the UK’s prestigious Download festival and become the proud recipient of the ‘Vanguard Award’ at the Progressive Music Awards (2015), Purson is quickly establishing itself as a growing force on the international music scene. Just recently, the band received an ‘Album Of 2016’ nomination from Prog magazine, whilst broader media awareness continues to be strong, with support from 6 Music right across the board. The following UK festivals are confirmed for July & August, with a headline tour being lined up for the autumn, complete with special London show (details to come)… July 23rd – Ramblin’ Man Fair, Maidstone August 7th – Cambridge Rock Festival In support of these shows, Purson will release a new video for ‘Electric Landlady’, a track from ‘Desire’s Magic Theatre’ that, according to Cunningham, is “essentially about Mother Earth, of feeling at home in the world, safe and loved, with some tongue-in-cheek lyrics”. http://www.purson.co.uk www.mr-fish.co.uk For Mr Fish ready to wear please visit http://www.livoos.com www.facebook.com/pursontheband www.spinefarm.com Latvia's Tesa release "Ghost" via My Proud Mountain ahead of tour with Neurosis in August21/6/2016 Latvia’s Tesa operate with evident conviction, and their flourishing, distinct sound is the epitome of how grand and graceful guitar-driven music can be. Since 2005, the trio of Karlis Tone, Davis Burmeisters and Janis Burmeisters have created a mature, rapturous vision of heavy music without the constraints of genre, reverting to their trusted intuition to create the glorious movements that can challenge any of the founding figures of long-form rock with depth. "Ghost" their latest LP formed of five segments for each letter, will see physical release (in CD and 2xLP format) through My Proud Mountain on 5th August, and it is a phenomenal demonstration of the band’s gripping adaptive approach. With the assistance of James Plotkin’s mastering (he who has worked with Sunn O))), Electric Wizard, Earth, Michael Gira, Tim Hecker and many more), "Ghost" sounds loud and important played at any volume, and the palpable passages of suspense and subsequent devastating releases give the record a momentum that endures all 40 minutes. Most spectacular is the apparent ease in which all three members, working together so closely, supply heaving riffs, emotionally exhausting melodies and soundscapes, and heroic lively tempo, creating a sound that cannot be named but can be intensely felt. This capacity of theirs to stun has won them the attention of the similarly singular Neurosis, with whom they toured Europe with in 2013 and will tour again with in August (dates below), and "Ghost" should surely elevate them to a larger plane of exposure that their music can expand in to. “At some point, when you've kind of earned some recognition and there's a general idea in people's mind, what you do, and what to expect form you as a band, it's really easy to just stay in a comfort zone, musically. But I think that we actually tried to step outside a bit form that, and at some level, try to do something different than people expect from you. Maybe it's more brutal at some parts, more direct and harsh. We try to escape the so-called post-rock thing.” - Janis Burmeisters on "Ghost" |
