Ohio's Beartooth have announced the release of their new album Aggressive, due out June 3rd via Red Bull Records. Video for title track and first single ‘Aggressive’ premiers today April 22nd at 2pm GMT. In the two short years since their debut album was cooked up in front man Caleb Shomo’s basement, Beartooth has catapulted into heavy music’s stratosphere. They have collected over 10 million views on YouTube, trekked around the globe sharing the stage with Slipknot, Pierce The Veil, Bring Me The Horizon and Sleeping With Sirens and playing festivals like Reading & Leeds, Download and the Vans Warped Tour. They’ve earned multiple Alternative Press and Kerrang! award nominations, gotten daytime airplay across the globe and been named a “New Artist You Need To Know” by Rolling Stone. For Aggressive, Shomo again retreated to his home studio to write, perform and produce the album’s 12 tracks, re-teaming with John Feldmann (The Used, Blink-182) for a bit of songwriting contribution and enlisting David Bendeth (Killswitch Engage, Paramore) to mix the release. The resulting songs have as much in common with stomping metalcore as old-school punk, vintage screamo and harder-edged pop punk, combining circle pit-inducing bangers with soaring choruses and bridging raw authentic intensity with accessibility. Beartooth will be giving fans a taste of Aggressive on their new run of live dates, kicking off in the US & continuing across UK & Europe this Summer, with more dates to be announced soon. www.beartoothband.com

Παγιδευμενοσ Greek Hardcore crew Sarabante has announced the completion of their second LP, "Poisonous Legacy", confirmed for release through Southern Lord this Summer, the album taking their tense, foreboding sound found on their prior recordings to new lows, mirroring and capturing the anguish of their native country. Sarabante was formed in Athens in late 2006, and during the Summer of 2011 they released their first album, "Remnants". The LP was released by Sara Records, the band's own label, followed by a limited edition CD through Southern Lord Records. This was followed by an Eastern European tour and numerous local live shows, as well as 2013's Έρμαια Των Καιρών / Under The Shadows, a 7" EP via Man In Decline Records. Heavily influenced by oppression and trying to withstand the ongoing crisis in their home country, Sarabante's new anthems are forged in times of extreme austerity, which has without doubt blackened their focus. As a result, the music on "Poisonous Legacy" is darker, filthier, more sincere. and more destructive than before. "Poisonous Legacy" was mastered by Brad Boatright (Sleep, Nails, Obituary) and will be released on Southern Lord, June 10th. The track listing and cover artwork have been unveiled (see above), and audio samples and further information will follow in the coming weeks. http://www.facebook.com/sarabante Since their 2011 inception, Gainesville's Frameworks have quietly become a favorite of many in the emotional hardcore scene. The band creates music in the vein of Touché Amore, Explosions in the Sky, Envy, and other powerful artists and have been hailed by critics and fans alike as "an intensely sincere heart-on-sleeve sort of post-hardcore" (Stereogum).
After a string of EP's in their early years, Frameworks released their Loom album on Topshelf Records in 2014. Recorded with engineer Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Joyce Manor), the album was well-received worldwide and the band toured relentlessly in support of it. Most recently, Frameworks released the "Time Spent" EP (also on Topshelf), which shows a darker side of the band as they incorporate experimental instrumentation into their sound. Later this year, Frameworks will release their debut full-length for Deathwish, which sees the band digging further into the depths of experimental post-hardcore. More news on this new album will be announced soon. For now, catch Frameworks on tour in February, March, and April. In 1994, Downset released their first album, a self-titled release, on Mercury Records and followed up two years later with a second album on Mercury Records, entitled Do We Speak A Dead Language? Fast forward to 2000, when Downset released the Check Your People album on Epitaph Records, and a few years later released the Universal album on Hawino Records. Downset boasts an extensive touring resume, having performed with artists spanning several genres. Downset has performed with many bands throughout the years, such as Linkin Park, Korn, Snoop Dogg, Anthrax, Pantera, Slayer, Testament, Madball, Deftones, Earth Crisis, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Machine Head, Coal Chamber, System of a Down, Slipknot, Hatebreed, Slayer, Sepultura and Soulfly. This year’s One Blood will continue the epic tradition that only Downset can truly express – hybridizing hip-hop and crushing riffs with lyrics that touch the world dramatically. The unique style of music on this release will remind listeners of Downset’s critical position in this contemporary era of art, expression and music. The newest Satanic Malfunctions LP since the Scarborough, UK-based act's 1990-released "Disgrace To Humanity", the whirlwind of old-school hardcore punk on "Them" is a throwback to the mid-late '80s hardcore scene when the grindcore was only beginning to take shape. Raging with twenty tracks in just over thirty minutes, recorded by Bri Doom, of UK crust legends, Doom, "Them" proves that the quartet -- vocalist Kai, guitarist Yaga, bassist Ryan and drummer Ade -- haven't let their guard down, and are as capable of deploying the same aggressive, ultra-fast and frenzied socio-political musical melee they did more than two decades ago. A must-have for diehards of Active Minds, Disorder, Doom, Atavistic, Electro Hippies, L'arm and Heresy. Ahead of the LP's release the track, "Gospel Truth" has been leaked; join the fight right here. "Them" will be on the loose October 1st in Europe and October 15th in North America via Selfmadegod, who in 2012 also released the Satanic Malfunctions "Disgrace To Music" 2xCD compilation including the band's complete discography prior to "Them", including both previous LP's and all EP and compilation tracks. Merch bundles are available now direct from Selfmadegod here, and "Them" is available digitally here. "Them" Track Listing: 1. Nothing New 2. Technological Religion 3. Them 4. Daze Of The Weak 5.
