Spirit will be the musical pioneers’ 14th studio album and the follow-up to 2013’s critically acclaimed Delta Machine, which reached a top five chart position in 26 countries and the number one position in 12 countries. Spirit is being produced by James Ford, founding member of the band Simian Mobile Disco, whose recent production work includes albums by Florence and the Machine and Arctic Monkeys. Spirit will be released in early 2017 via Columbia Records worldwide. Speaking in Milan, Dave Gahan commented, “We’re exceptionally proud of Spirit’s sound and energy, and we’re excited to get back on tour to share it with our fans around the world.” Following the European tour dates in Summer 2017, the Global Spirit Tour will continue with shows in North and South America. The Global Spirit Tour will be the band’s 18th tour and will mark their first live performances in over three years. The band’s last tour, the Delta Machine Tour, played to over 2.5 million fans at sold-out shows across Europe and North America and was one of 2013’s largest and best selling tours. On the Global Spirit Tour the band will continue their charity partnership with Swiss watch maker Hublot, raising money and awareness for Charity: Water toward their mission of providing safe drinking water to everyone in the world. Having sold over 100 million records and played live to more than 30 million fans worldwide, Depeche Mode refuse to become complacent, with innumerable artists citing them as inspirations and critics celebrating them as “still blazing trails” and “becoming more and more significant as time passes”. It is set to be released 14th October and her first single ‘Bones’ will be available from 2nd September (impacting 7th October). Forged from heartbreak and a tale of lover’s abandonment combined with the bittersweet joy of giving birth to his child, Superwoman is infused with the strength of a woman who has finally taken control. It is the ultimate soundtrack for anyone who has ever had to build themselves back up after a heartbreak Rebecca is stronger, happier and more fearless than ever before. Rebecca says of the album “This is honest and emotionally complex, I found strength and security writing this album” adding “It’s my most personal album ever and it’s brought me to a place in my life where I feel strong. I called it Superwoman because I learnt to embrace my vulnerability and accept it as a strength.” ‘Superwoman’ was produced by Troy Miller (Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse), and features collaborators such as Jonny Lattimer (Ellie Goulding, James Bay), Negin Djafari (Miley Cyrus) and previous collaborator Eg White (Adele, Florence And The Machine, Sam Smith). One of the most distinctive voices in pop, Rebecca has previously won critical acclaim for taking on the Billie Holiday songbook in previous release ‘Lady Sings The Blues’. The working class girl from Liverpool who battled so hard to make it as a singer has become one of the most exciting and compelling artists of our times. This is her fourth album, something not many ‘talent show’ contestants can say, but from the off there was always something intrinsically sincere about Rebecca’s delivery that set her apart from everyone else. Since her break on X Factor six years ago, the once shy and insecure artist has gone on to win fans on both sides of the Atlantic, touring Britain, Europe and America winning plaudits from Adele as well as critics winning comparisons to her heroes Macy Gray and Aretha Franklin. Rebecca is embarking on a tour later this year, dates are: 23/10 Venue Cymru, Llandudno 24/10 Manchester Bridgewater Hall 25/10 Glasgow Royal Concert Hall 27/10 Sage Gateshead 28/10 York Barbican Centre 01/11 The London Palladium , London 02/11 Birmingham Symphony Hall 04/11 Liverpool Philharmonic Hall 05/11 Cambridge Corn Exchange 06/11 Colston Hall, Bristol 08/11 Nottingham Royal Concert Hall 09/11 Ipswich Regent Theatre 11/11 Sheffield City Hall 13/11 G Live Guildford 14/11 St David’s Hall, Cardiff 15/11 De Montfort Hall, Leicester Cage9 announces their first tour in support of their new album, 'Illuminator,' will be as direct support for Lacey Sturm as she continues her 'Life Screams' U.S. tour. Cage9 released 'Illuminator' in June 2016 in North America (to be released in August in Europe) with David Ellefson's EMP Label Group, and in Japan via Triple Vision Entertainment (making this the sixth album the band has released in Japan under that label). The two bands have a unique relationship in that Cage9's lead vocalist and guitarist, Evan Rodaniche also produced Lacey's current solo album Life Screams. Cage9 first performed with Lacey at her February 2016 CD release show at the Whisky-A-Go-Go in Los Angeles, and this August stretch of her tour unites them once again. Rodaniche says, "I was lucky enough to spend some time working with Lacey last year, producing and mixing her new solo album Life Screams, and can't wait to see her and the guys bring it to the stage every night." Lacey made the announcement on her social media sites saying, "Lacey is excited to announce her Life Screams Tour will continue this August with special guest, Cage9! Lacey was first known as the original lead singer of the platinum selling band, Flyleaf. In 2014 she announced the creation of her solo band and when her debut album was released in February 2016, Billboard announced that for the first time in its nearly nine-year history, that Sturm did what no other solo female in Hard Rock has ever done - topping their Hard Rock Albums chart at the No. 1 spot with her first solo release. Cage9's first single from 'Illuminator' is the track that caught the attention of David Ellefson (Megadeth). Says Ellefson, "Cage9 is definitely the real deal. When I first heard 'Everything You Love Will Someday Die,' it instantly struck me as the closest I've heard to a song with a true Metallica / Megadeth core, with the radio accessibility to really connect with a modern Rock audience." The single can be heard throughout the U.S. on Active Rock outlets nationwide, as well as featured on nationally syndicated radio shows such as Cranked Up Live. 106.3 The Buzz in Idaho Falls, ID played the song and had this to say, "We ran Cage9 on 'Crank It Or Yank It' and the track was 100% cranked by listeners, quite a rare occurrence.
