"A band whose name will soon be up in lights, whether they like it or not” - NME “This Cambridge quartet specialise in anthems designed to fill arenas, but with a very pointed caveat that what they do remains several proud steps away from well-worn mainstream rock” - The Guardian “Lonely The Brave could be the biggest band on the planet. Fact.” - Rock Sound “Fit to bursting with anthems that will keep them in festival slots for years to come” Mojo “Lonely The Brave are simply phenomenal.” Kerrang! Following its premiere as Rockest Record on Dan P Carter’s Radio 1 Rock Show last night, Lonely The Brave today announce the release of “Black Mire”. Marking the band’s first new material since the critically acclaimed debut album “The Day’s War” and its subsequent “Victory Edition” reissue last year, “Black Mire” is also the first chance for fans to hear their work with producer Ross Orton (M.I.A., Drenge, Arctic Monkeys). The result is an expansive, atmospheric introduction to their new sound. Retaining the strong sense of melody and lyricism that has won them such a dedicated fan base already, “Black Mire” also feels like a natural leap forward musically, from a band hitting their stride and full of confidence after nearly two years in the spotlight. The accompanying AV video, directed by Jordan Martin, features the band’s front-man David Jakes in a rare performance direct to camera. Lonely The Brave have spent much of these last two years touring internationally and playing with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Deftones, Neil Young, Marmozets and Wolf Alice, as well as putting in unforgettable festival performances at the likes of Glastonbury, Download and, most recently, the main stage at Reading & Leeds. The band will put out their highly anticipated second album before the summer. Further details will be announced soon. Upcoming live dates: Handmade Festival – O2 Academy, Leicester – April 29th - May 1st lonelythebrave.com/ | facebook.com/lonelythebrave | twitter.com/lonelythebrave
