Greek groove / metal four-piece Planet of Zeus return to the UK in support of their spectacular new album ‘Loyal to the Pack’. Last seen on these shores supporting the mighty Clutch, PoZ are excited to be heading back for a fistful of headline dates.

At a time in which individualism seems to be the ultimate solution for some ‘Loyal to the Pack’, is an ode to the benefits of teamwork. Being well known for their never ending signature heavy riffs, gritty vocals and unmistakeable grooves, the band decided to “shuffle their deck of cards” and push the boundaries of their musical direction, encompassing melody, clean, but heartrending vocals, a newly found sense of dynamics in amongst their colossal trademark riffs. Serving to a establish a signature sound for Planet of Zeus, a sound that takes the listener on a journey throughout the history of heavy music; from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Mastodon, The Allman Brothers Band to Queens of the Stone Age and AC/DC to Clutch.

Right now, Planet of Zeus are the biggest rock band in Greece, consistently selling out every venue they play. Their annual Athens headlining show attracted more than 3.000 people and set a record of attendance in Greece's underground rock scene. Their raw, sincere and constantly evolving live performances have secured them a loyal and hardcore underground following throughout the world. After 5 consecutive European tours, including a slot on Metal Hammer’s ‘Lords Of The Riff II’ UK tour and several high profile festivals (notably a triumphant appearance at Bloodstock Open Air), Planet of Zeus finished 2015 as main support for Clutch's 2015 Psychic Warfare European Tour.

Legendary pioneers of industrial-tinged extreme metal Fear Factory are very pleased to announce they will be playing an intimate Bloodstock warm-up show at the Concorde 2, Brighton on August 12th.This performance will precede their highly anticipated appearance at renowned Catton Park based metal festival; Bloodstock Festival, on August 13th where they will be playing the main stage alongside the likes of Gojira, Mastodon & Paradise Lost.

You can purchase tickets for Fear Factory’s intimate Brighton show here:
Fear Factory @ Concorde 2, Brighton – August 12th

Fear Factory are still celebrating the release of critically acclaimed 9th studio album, ‘Genexus’, which was released in August 2015 via Nuclear Blast.

The record was produced by vocalist Burton C. Bell and guitarist Dino Cazares, (and co-produced by Rhys Fulber) with mixing handled by famed British producer and engineer, Andy Sneap (Arch Enemy, Testament, Exodus, Machine Head). It is the sound of Fear Factory in-extremis, the concrete-breaking staccato riffs that open the record with 'Autonomous Combat System' to the soaring melodies of 'Dielectric' to the album’s elegiacal closer, 'Expiration Date.'

It is an unforgiving and unforgettable statement from a band that has long pushed the boundaries of extreme music.

American Doom trio Pilgrim announce tour dates with Castle & Blizaro‏

24/5/2016

Picture

Rhode Island-based doom metal trio,
Pilgrim, has confirmed three special shows with Castle and Blizaro this August.

Guitarist / vocalist The Wizard comments: "We are very excited and grateful to be asked to join Castle on the east coast portion of their tour. We are also ecstatic to reunite with John Gallow (Blizaro, Orodruin), a great friend and a huge inspiration and influence, and finally see the almighty Blizaro live! Hopefully we'll get some Dungeons & Dragons in on the journey to Philadelphia!"

Pilgrim w/ Castle, Blizaro:

8/04/2016 Ralph's Rock Diner - Worcester, MA
8/05/2016 The Acheron - Brooklyn, NY
8/06/2016 The Fire - Philadelphia, PA

Pilgrim will be playing in support of their latest album, "II: Void Worship". A frighteningly crushing exercise in pure, sonic doom, "II: Void Worship" ebbs and flows into frenzied climaxes, while fading into sweet audio depressions - all moulding perfectly crafted rock songs into twisted spires of shadowy doom metal epics. To preview and purchase "II: Void Worship", visit: metalblade.com/pilgrim.

To donate or learn more, visit www.houstonrecovers.org.

Danny Hayes, CEO of Danny Wimmer Presents says, "Houston Open Air has been in the works for almost a year now. It’s awkward to announce a major music festival in a city that has experienced such recent hardship and, in fact, we delayed our announcements out of respect for what Houston has endured. But at the same time, our festivals are about highlighting the strengths (or sometimes the needs) of our host city. There’s no more important way to do that right now than to support Mayor Turner’s efforts to help Houston recover from this spring’s flooding and we will be incorporating this message throughout our launch campaign.”

Danny Wimmer, founder of Danny Wimmer Presents, adds, “Houston is one of the country’s biggest rock markets and, when combined with the impressive food scene happening here, it's a natural location for a DWP festival. We're thrilled to have such a diverse first-year line-up that includes Avenged Sevenfold, Alice In Chains and Chevelle. With the inclusion of an incredible food experience and the Jack Daniel’s Whiskey Row, we are kicking off a powerhouse experience that will live in the market for many years to come!”

In addition to three stages of top rock bands, Houston Open Air features the celebrated Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Whiskey Row, and a Texas-sized Gourmet Man Food experience underscoring Houston’s emergence as a great American food city.

Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Whiskey Row will feature the following brands: Jack Daniel’s Black Label, Gentleman Jack, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire, Old Forester, and Woodford Reserve.

The full Gourmet Man Food lineup and menus for Houston Open Air will be announced soon.
