Russian Symphonic Metallers Imperial Age offer four young UK bands support on UK tour

30/1/2020

Picture

Top Russian outfit Imperial Age are offering four young UK bands the chance to support them on their upcoming UK tour which kicks off at The Dome in London on April 16, 2020.

If your band wants an opportunity to play up to a sixty minute set at one of the shows below then get entered at the link below.

Imperial Age comment:-

“We have received a lot of requests from a lot of bands all over the world to join us at our UK concerts in April 2020. We have given it a thorough thought and this is what we have come up with this -

These days its very hard for new bands to get themselves heard. Labels don‘t sign new bands, they want them to build up a fanbase first – and even then its extremely hard. Promoters aren't really interested in them either. Usually bands have to pay an arm and a leg for everything, and the conditions aren't good.

We have experienced this ourselves and only huge support from you – our fans, allowed us to start doing music full-time without the help of a record label.

However, Destiny has been very good to us, and a few years ago we were very kindly helped by Christofer Johnsson when he allowed us to join the Therion European tour at a time when we were totally unknown in Europe. So we would like to give back as much as we can.

We want to give new bands an opportunity – so we will be setting up a competition among young UK bands.”

Check out how your band could make this happen here plus terms and conditions: http://www.imperial-age.com/support-competition/

Founded in Moscow by singers / songwriters Alexander “Aor” Osipov and Jane “Corn” Odintsova in 2012, Imperial Age has become Russia‘s most famous symphonic metal band and the country‘s second most-internationally-touring rock act, achieving acclaim from fans, press and even the founder of symphonic metal – Christofer Johnsson (Therion) – himself.

Between 2016 – 2019 the band toured Europe 4 times, with a total of 103 concerts (out of those 38 as headliners).

Musically, Imperial Age combine heavy metal with a symphony orchestra, folk instruments, 3 lead singers (1 male and 2 female) and a full choir.

The records feature multiple collaborations with musicians from DIMMU BORGIR, RHAPSODY OF FIRE, THERION, ARKONA and the Moscow Conservatory Chamber Choir.

Lyrically, the band deals with the idea of ancient prehistoric advanced civilizations (Atlantis, Hyperborea, Lemuria) and their legacy in the form of the Western Magical Tradition (Hermetism, Kabbalah etc.) carried through history by secret societies and magical orders (Orphism, Templars, Rosenkreuz, Freemasons, Golden Dawn etc).

As of 2019, Imperial Age have self released 2 studio albums and 1 EP

The records feature multiple collaborations with musicians from DIMMU BORGIR, RHAPSODY OF FIRE, THERION, ARKONA and the Moscow Conservatory Chamber Choir. All artwork by Jan Yrlund (MANOWAR). Mixing and mastering by Sergei Lazar (ARKONA).
