This was a life changing record for me. At the time of making it I had no idea what to expect, what making a record even was, and how much this would open up a world of art and music to me. After a decade of creating, recording, performing and living I feel more confident about my abilities than ever and I look forward to approaching these performances from where I am today. I can’t wait to share this with fans old and new, I’ve honed my performance skills and this will bring new life to old material, mixing a sense of nostalgia with a shiny bright future. I’m so proud of how far I have come and I actually feel like I have a stronger connection to the songs now than I did then. I’m more in tune with myself and I think that translates through my performance. I also feel like this album keeps me connected to why I create music. It's an important reminder to me to stay creative, open, imaginative, to have a sense of fun and remember the London streets I grew up in. It's amazing to be fortunate enough to have a career as an artist. So hashtag blessed. I’m as ever grateful to my beautiful fans!! And I’m excited to invite them to something extra special this summer!" In other news, Kate Nash has been confirmed to play Rhonda is the upcoming Netflix Original series “G.L.O.W.” Produced by award winning Jenji Kohan (Weeds, Orange is the new Black), “G.L.O.W” (aka Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) was created by Liz Flahive (Homeland) and Carly Mensch (Orange Is The New Black) and is a 10-episode comedy inspired by the real story of the 1980s female wrestling league. It's going to be a special night. "No child should have to face homelessness at any time, let alone Christmas. As a band, we're well aware of the incredible work that Shelter does, and we're very, very happy to be able to do our part to help them make sure no-one is left to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own." Tickets for the performance, priced at £30, are available via ballot. To enter the ballot, visit the website – www.shelter.org.uk/yearsandyears the ballot closes at12pm on 1st December and successful applicants will be notified from 2nd December. All of the money raised will go directly to Shelter. 50 years since the charity was first founded, sadly over 120,000 children will wake up homeless and living in temporary accommodation this Christmas morning – the highest number since 2007. The charity's advisers work tirelessly every day of the year – including Christmas Day – to support families across the country battling to keep a roof over their heads. Campbell Robb, Shelter's chief executive said: "This is a fantastic way to help Shelter this Christmas, and enjoy an exclusive performance from Years and Years – who we're thrilled to have supporting us for the first time. News of the devastating rise in homeless children will bring heartache to millions of people across Britain. But the sad fact is, fifty years since Shelter was founded, too many families still need our help. Every penny raised from this very special acoustic gig will help Shelter to continue to be there for the thousands of families facing homelessness this Christmas."
