American Melodic Death Metallers Light This City announce first European tour dates confirmed for September
Bay Area melodic death metal outfit Light This City announces the band's first ever European tour, confirmed for the end of summer, as the band continues to support of their acclaimed Terminal Bloom LP, released last year through Creator-Destructor Records.
Terminal Bloom, Light This City's first album in a decade, boasts ten tracks that capture their tendency towards extreme melody and intensity, honoring the Swedish sounds of the '90s. Having spent the past decade performing and touring in numerous other bands, the five members of Light This City have only honed and shaped their skills and musicianship since their 2008-released Stormchaser. Terminal Bloom was recorded from December 2017 through February 2018 with Zack Ohren (Suffocation, Cattle Decapitation, Fallujah) at Castle Ultimate Studios in Oakland, California, as with their previous four albums, and is wrapped in the vibrant cover artwork of Tony Midi.
Following several tours throughout the US and Canada, as well as their first tour of Mexico, and a recent tour of Japan, Light This City now confirms their maiden trip across the Atlantic. The band's European Bloom Part 1 trek will begin September 12th and run through Germany, Denmark, Holland, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland, coming to an end on September 21st. Watch for additional tour dates to be announced in the months ahead as the band continues to book new ventures.
Drummer Ben Murray states:-
"We couldn't be more excited to finally bring our thrash attack to Europe! This is just part 1 of our plan to tour Europe, as we'll be announcing another run early next year. If you live in one of these cities, we hope you make it out to one of the shows! It's been fifteen years since we began as a band, and we've wanted to get to Europe the whole time. See you in September!"

Australian Metalcore crew Amberyse add Brisbane date to 'The Glass House' tour; tour supports announced
Geelong metalcore crew Amberyse dropped their huge single "Glass House" and announced their 'The Glass House' Tour on May 3rd - and now they are adding a Brisbane date to that schedule - and are today announcing the sweet list of artists supporting them on the tour!
The single 'Glass House' is live for streaming and purchase now at bit.ly/GlassHouseSpotify and tickets for all shows on their tour are available at amberyse.com/shows.
The Geelong outfit initially announced three red hot shows for 'The Glass House Tour' - with shows at Sydney's Crowbar, Melbourne's Stay Gold and Geelong's Workers. Today they have added Saturday July 6 in Brisbane at Crowbar, supporting Brissy home town alt-metal legends Meliorist, who have also experienced recent success with their EP and singles! Tickets to all shows are available at www.amberyse.com/shows.
The Crowbar Sydney show will feature support from Liberties, Kaskeid, Elision and Infinite Illusion, Melbourne's Stay Gold show remains a hyped-up mystery for now, Geelong's Workers' show will see The Gloom in The Corner, Liberties and Shopping Trolley Fist Fight - and the Brisbane show sees Meliorist headlining, Amberyse in main support and Isla Vera.
The track "Glass House" is produced, mixed and mastered at The Loud Noise Estate and at its core is about drug abuse and struggling to overcome addiction. The track has managed to secure the band plays on triple j's Short. Fast. Loud., rotation play on The Faction Radio and playlist addition to Spotify's Homegrown and Heavy and Apple Music's Heaps Heavy Playlist!
Forming in early 2015, Geelong's own Amberyse wasted little time establishing themselves as a fiery and energetic collection of musicians with a dynamic stage presence. The groups blend of heavy/melodic riffs, groove riddled percussion and the frenzied energy of frontman Jayden bring together a unique sound that they are proud to call their own. The release of their last creation 'Heavy Hands' in 2018 saw the group playing with the likes of Northlane, In Hearts Wake, Ocean Grove, Hands like Houses and Deez Nuts.
"Glass House" is out now at iTunes & Apple Music/Spotify/Google Play and all good online stores and streaming outlets. Tickets are on sale now for Amberyse's Glass House Tour at amberyse.com/shows.

The Return, the new album from Canadian folk metal group Mongol, is a concept album written about a Mongolian Prophecy that states that Genghis Khan will return from the grave to complete his conquest of the world. Intertwined within the tracks, you’ll find melodic harmonies that conjure imagery of the vast glory of a great united Empire, and the raw beauty of her homeland; but you will also hear ruthless thundering rhythms that recall the reckless unbridled violence of battle. Founded in 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the HU members Gala, Jaya, Temka, and Enkush, with their producer, Dashka, combine the bombastic bass and drums of rock music with traditional Mongolian instrumentation like the Morin Khuur (horsehead fiddle), Tovshuur (Mongolian guitar), Tumur Khuur (jaw harp) and guttural throating singing. Since the formation of the band, they’ve been working on their first album, The Gereg. The term Gereg means the first diplomatic “passport” issued by the Mongol Empire during the time of Genghis Khan. The album contains nine songs, including the recently released “Yuve Yuve Yu” and “Wolf Totem,” and is slated for release in 2019 on Eleven Seven Music.
