Whitechapel recently completed an extensive run across the US on the annual Vans Warped Tour as well as an explosive performance at Ozzfest Meets Knotfest this past weekend. The band is currently touring in support of their recently-issued sixth full-length, Mark Of The Blade. Hailed as an, "exciting milestone," by Alternative Press, Mark Of The Blade was produced by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse) and sees Whitechapel redefine who they are and what they are capable of with the resulting eleven tracks. Kicking off with "The Void" - which has a Slayer-esque ferocity that is perfectly suited to the band's three-guitar attack - the songs that follow all leave a distinct impression, and by the time the rich, dark melodies on "Decennium" bring the record to a close, it's impossible to deny the emotional weight brought to bear. Guitarist Alex Wade explains, "At this point in our career and as we grow older, we are taking a more open-minded approach to creating our music, allowing what we think sounds good to evolve naturally, rather than to just write what is expected of us."

Heavy Metal legends Iron Maiden continue their hugely successful The Book of Souls World Tour into 2017 with a series of European arena shows opening in Antwerp, Belgium on April 22, Maiden’s first visit to this city since 1981 on the Killers Tour! The band then travel to Germany for shows in Oberhausen, Frankfurt and Hamburg before heading into the UK and Ireland for an extensive series of concerts in May. There will be 8 dates across England in Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool, Birmingham and London, two in Scotland in Glasgow and Aberdeen and one in Cardiff, Wales.

Maiden founder member and bass player Steve Harris says,

“As it’s been so long since our last full UK arena tour, we really wanted to get to our fans in as many cities as possible. We’re really looking forward to it, especially visiting places we haven’t been to for a very long time like Leeds where we haven’t played since 2005 and Liverpool where we haven’t played since 1990. The whole band is really enjoying this tour and although we love playing festivals and stadiums, it is terrific to return to the intimacy and atmosphere of arenas. The songs from The Book Of Souls album and the new Maya-themed Eddies and stage sets have gone down really well and fan reaction has been amazing. And of course we know our fans appreciate us playing a lot of the older songs too, which we will continue to do.”

The dates are:

Apr 22              Belgium                        Antwerp, Sportpaleis
Apr 24              Germany                      Oberhausen, König-Pilsener-Arena
Apr 28              Germany                      Frankfurt, Festhalle

May 11             England                       Leeds, First Direct Arena

May 20             England                       Liverpool, Echo Arena
May 21             England                       Birmingham, Barclaycard Arena

May 24             Wales                           Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena

Iron Maiden continue to be actively dedicated to ensuring their fans always have full access to the best possible tickets in the fairest possible way. With their untamed female lead vocals and haunting melodies, the new wildfire named Forever Still started to spread from Denmark and is ready to burn down every shore with their first studio release Tied Down out on October 21st. The band now published their second album trailer and in this clip, singer Maja Shining speaks about the writing of her lyrics and explains where the inspiration for the album came from.

Watch the video here:
https://youtu.be/1cYSYuvyqOE

"Pieces of the lyrics will usually come randomly during my daily activities and I'll record them on my phone or I'll write them down. And sometimes it can be one little word that will put the final piece into the puzzle!", Maja explains. "I'm not sure, if I'll ever be able to talk about those things that I sing about. That's why I make music about it."

If you missed the first trailer, check it out here:

With a pinch of Lacuna Coil and a hint of Flyleaf and Bring Me The Horizon, the female-fronted rock inferno Forever Stil mixes heavy guitars with melancholic sounds and just recently signed to Nuclear Blast.

Even though the band just recently signed to Nuclear Blast, they already released two haunting music videos.

Reigning metal queen Doro Pesch will return to the US next week for a short run of live dates leading to her performance at this year's edition of the Rock Carnival in Lakewood, New Jersey alongside The Used, Life Of Agony, Sebastian Bach, Cinderella's Tom Keifer and many others. The tour will kick off on September 24th and run through October 2nd. Direct support (through October 1st) will be provided by New York's Obsidian. See all confirmed performances below and check out the band's video trailer HERE.

DORO:

9/24/2016 Alrosa Villa - Columbus, OH
9/25/2016 Montage Music Hall - Rochester, NY
9/27/2016 Tupelo Music Hall - Londonderry, NH
9/28/2016 The Chance - Poughkeepsie, NY
9/30/2016 Palace Theatre - Stafford Springs, CT
10/01/2016 Fish Head Cantina - Halethorpe (Baltimore), MD
10/02/2016 Rock Carnival - Lakewood, NJ

Doro released her 2 Blu-Ray / 3DVD+CD package entitled Strong And Proud - 30 Years Of Rock And Metal through Nuclear Blast earlier this year.

To celebrate her 30th anniversary of performing live, Doro spent 2013/2014 by touring the world extensively, a journey which included three official anniversary shows. The tour kicked off impressively in front of 85,000 people at the world's biggest metal festival, Wacken, followed by two sold-out nights in her home town of Düsseldorf, where she also started her outstanding career. And everyone came to party with Doro: Phil Campbell (Motörhead), Biff Byford (Saxon), Chris Caffery (Savatage), Blaze Bayley (ex-Iron Maiden), Joakim Brodén (Sabaton), Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian), Udo Dirkschneider, Uli Jon Roth, Lordi as well as many more amazing guests.

"We spent endless hours, days, and nights working on the DVD," said Doro, "because we wanted to present a real highlight for all rock and metal fans for the 30th anniversary. We took care of every detail. It began already with the fantastic stage at Wacken. We worked one year on its design. In Düsseldorf, we even celebrated two nights in a row. One 'classic night' with a 40-piece orchestra and one 'balls-to-the-wall' rock show on the second evening. It continued subsequently non stop - with an anniversary tour which led us to Russia, South America, and my second home, the US, among other places."

Strong And Proud - 30 Years Of Rock And Metal contains 38 songs in total, including all Doro classics, many old Warlock hits and cover versions of songs such as "Fear Of The Dark" (Iron Maiden) and "Balls To The Wall" (Accept). Additionally, Strong And Proud - 30 Years Of Rock And Metal offers a unique two+-hour documentary, Behind The Curtain, Inside The Heart Of Doro. It gives the spectator deep and detailed insights into the world of Doro.

"There's great footage from all over the world and never before seen pictures from our life behind the stage. The camera team accompanied us for over one year everywhere and captured very emotional, intimate, and human situations."
