Evanescence will be returning to the UK and Europe during November and December on their rescheduled co-headline ‘Worlds Collide’ tour with Within Temptation. Before that, they will be playing some of their own headline shows in June and have just confirmed extra dates in Madrid and Lisbon plus Rock In The City festival in Helsinki.

The band has also just announced a Stateside tour with Korn produced by Live Nation. Accompanied by special guests varying across select dates, the 18-city tour kicks off on August 16th at Ball Arena in Denver, CO making stops across the U.S. in Boston, Chicago, Houston, and more before wrapping up in Ridgefield, WA on September 16th.

“We’re looking forward to going on tour this summer and bringing our friends, Evanescence, out,” said Jonathan Davis of Korn. “Whenever Amy comes to one of our shows, I always love seeing her on the side of the stage watching the whole set and rocking out. We’re gonna have a great time on this tour, and we can’t wait to see you there.”

“I fell hard into Korn’s music in high school. It was an inspiration during the formation of my own band. The chances we’ve had to play together over the years are special, a part of our history. They remain one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen,” said Amy Lee of Evanescence. “It’s an honour and a thrill to go out with our friends again, our first full tour together since ‘07. We’re all really looking forward to this.”

Cello metal giants Apocalyptica unite with Epica to entertain audiences all over the continent from Budapest to Barcelona on the Epic Apocalypse Tour. The two will co-headline and will be joined by the exciting, progressive metal band Wheel, who will open each night with their engaging juxtapose of time-defying grooves and deep social exploration.

Eicca Toppinen states that:-

Both ourselves and Epica have the chance to reach each other’s audiences and also continue on our own exciting, and unique journeys. As we’ve said before, Cell-0 is, for us, a return to our roots while exploring new artistic universes within that realm, and this tour will help our horizons expand even further. So come one, come all, because we are going to present a great night of entertainment.”

Simone Simons from Epica is equally excited:-

It's a great new step as we'll be playing some new, bigger venues which allows us to add some new exciting production to the show as well. We couldn't be more excited to present our new songs and to finally tour with Apocalyptica. See you there!”

Portugal's Moonspell on tour with Greece's Rotting Christ this Autumn

27/9/2019

[ photo credit: Irene Serrano ]
Portuguese dark metal pioneers, Moonspell, will embark on an extensive European Tour with Rotting Christ this Fall. Starting on October 24th in Hamburg, Germany, this finest metal package will travel two months literally all over Europe, including dates in the UK, Spain, Turkey, Scandinavia and many more!

Just recently, Moonspell proudly announced to re-release their path-breaking Sin/Pecado and  2econd Skin records on December 13rd 2019 with Napalm Records. Especially Sin/Pecado, originally released back in 1998, became a great divider of the Moonspell wolfpack, showcasing the band's diverse talent, skills and signs of a rebellion in within vampire and wolves themes. A diversity the band will be also representing live on stage, when they will not only perform songs of their latest, Portuguese album 1755, but also timeless classics of their entire band history – from records such as Sin/Pecado, the unforgettable Irreligious, Wolfheart, Night Eternal or the critically acclaimed Extinct – no matter what's your favourite Moonspell era, on this run you will definitely come at your expense!

Picture

States Moonspell vocalist, Fernando Ribeiro:-

“The question in the air for Moonspell and Rotting Christ is: how will you guys pull this one out? We concede that we have embraced a quite epic trek of more than fifty cities to take in just one breath from the 24th of October all the way to December 15th. There’s only one way to answer your question: to grab a ticket and show up in one of our shows. The tickets are running low in some dates, some are sold out, and yes besides 1755 we will represent the classics and a couple of Sin/Pecado songs live to celebrate its reissue via Napalm Records in December. Europa under the spell!!!“

The tour sees them joined by 20 Buck Spin labelmates Scorched and includes their performance at Migration Fest this weekend.

The Ominous Circle is a burning black sphere of sinuous torment taking shape over their native land. Appalling Ascension, their initiation into this upper physical world, was released in early 2017 through 20 Buck Spin. While the reverent tropes of nowadays death metal will be recognizable to the band's adherents, the cauldron is mixed in myriad conjurations that stray from the retreating safety inferior forces are prone to linger in, with moments of oppressive death doom, grinding blasts of mania, rancid melodies and mid-tempo dynamic necromancy throughout. The late obsession of some to ignore songwriting in favour of cavernous ambient suffocating "evil" doesn't play on Appalling Ascension - here instead, and most welcome, are crushing and barbarous dark death metal songs for initiates to devote themselves to, and to enter the pantheon of most memorable debut recordings.

Poison Fumes Over North America MMXVIII will see the shrouded members of The Ominous Circl storming the East Coast from July 24th through July 31st. With support from Scorched, the tour will hit Brooklyn, Providence, Worcester, and Montclair on their way to perform at Migration Fest 2018 where they'll share the stage with Khemmis, Krallice, Pelican, Panopticon, Mournful Congregation, Bongripper, Zombi, The Cancer Conspiracy, Deadbird, Spirit Adrift, Thou, Yellow Eyes, and more. 70000TONS OF METAL 2018: recap + 2019 destination announced

17/2/2018

Picture

There are your standard heavy metal festivals – and there is 70000TONS OF METAL. Just imagine: You’ve just returned from a beautiful island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean after spending hours enjoying the sun and white sand on a wonderful Caribbean beach. Feeling the warm wind blowing in your face, you are now sitting in a hot tub on a giant cruise ship, up close to a large stage, headbanging to your favourite band. You are watching from one of six whirlpools with a direct view of the stage on the pool deck, which is the biggest open air stage structure to sail the seas. It’s loud. It’s full of metalheads from all over the world. Sounds perfect? Well, it is ......

It’s been more than a week now since most fans have returned home from a more than successful 70000TONS OF METAL 2018 - round 8, more than a few of them still suffering from a serious case of PCD (post cruise depression) following four incredible days on board the Independence Of The Seas. More than 3,000 metalheads boarded the ship together with 61 bands, each of which was going to perform at least two shows (124 shows on 4 stages in total) during this unique event at sea. Some fans spent the shore day in Turks and Caicos with their favourite band during one of the various artist-led shore excursions. Picture yourself swimming with Meshuggah in the awe inspiring presence of majestic stingrays, or snorkeling with Aborted and Exhumed by your side to make you feel safe. Wolves on a safari? Sure, go on a coast-to-coast island tour with Wolfchant!

On top came the one of a kind All-Star performance “Jamming With Waters in International Waters” featuring members e.g. from Kreator, Sabaton, Cannibal Corpse, Destruction, Sonata Arctica, Meshuggah, Enslaved, Primal Fear, Dark Tranquility, Voivod, Seven Spires and many more, playing all time heavy metal and hard rock classics together on stage for the first time ever.

And there was another premiere, a record rather, that no one expected to be broken after last year’s peak of 74 different nationalities represented on board: 2018 beat 2017 by one more nation and proved once again that 70000TONS OF METAL is the most global cruise, uniting 75 nations on board this year. Germany, USA and Canada were among the top five of the most represented nations aboard. The youngest sailor was only 1 year old, the oldest turned 79 on the ship.

Picture
Coming up: Round 9

So watch out, Sailors: After the cruise is before the cruise. Fans can already look forward to round 9 of 70000TONS OF METAL, THE original, The World’s Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise sailing from Miami/Ft. Lauderdale to Labadee, Haiti and back, January 31 – February 4, 2019.
