New Zealand hard-out metal outfit Alien Weaponry, " one of the most exciting young metal bands in the world right now" (Revolver Magazine USA) are touring Australia on their Tūmatauenga Australian Tour in March 2019 - and today they are rolling out their Australian support acts!

The tour acts as sideshows to their appearances at Download Festivals Melbourne & Sydney on March 9 and 11, respectively. Adding to that, they have also just announced that they will be supporting Slayer and Anthrax in Germany in August 2019 on Slayer's final tour!

Both Brisbane's show at The Zoo on March 6 and Canberra's show at The Basement on March 13 will see COPIA and Take My Soul in support, Adelaide's Enigma Bar on March 14 will feature COPIA and Hidden Intent and March 15's Perth show is TBC and still on the hunt for supports!

The three-piece thrash metal band who sing in their native language, Te Reo Māori, from Waipu, New Zealand, formed in 2010 by brothers Lewis and Henry de Jong. The band consists of Lewis de Jong (guitar and vocals), Henry de Jong (drums), and Ethan Trembath (bass guitar). Most noted for their fusion of Te Reo Māori (the native language of New Zealand) with thrash metal, they deliver emotionally and politically charged stories of conflict and grief with a warrior-like attitude.

All-star Death Metal band Sinsaenum on tour this Autumn

DragonForce´s Fred Leclercq and Joey Jordison of Vimic (former drummer and co-founding member of Slipknot), who just released the brand new and critically acclaimed album 'Repulsion For Humanity' by all-star death metal band Sinsaenum on August 10th 2018 with Ear Music, are about to kick off for an extensive European tour this September! Starting on September 28th with shows in France, continuing their run all over Germany, Poland, Italy, Scandinavia, BeNeLux and many more European hot spots with a final show in Helsinki a month later, the band will be joined by very special guests Hatesphere.

When you hear about artist side projects or self-styled “all-star bands”, you usually cannot help but roll your eyes at the audacity of the creators. However, when it comes to the extreme metal beast that is Sinsaenum, open your mind and ears and forget your preconceptions! Whilst they may draw their sonic power from renowned names, these are first and foremost friends joining forces as the most logical thing to do. Sinsaenum is a solidly bonded band of like-minded great musicians featuring Joey Jordison, DragonForce's Fred Leclercq, Attila Csihar from Norwegian black metal legends Mayhem and drone masters SunnO))) (who has been featured on the band's highly acclaimed debut album 'Echoes Of The Tortured`'), Sean Zatorsky from NWoAHM titans Dååth and Chimaira, Stéphane Buriez of French death metal veterans Loudblast as well as Heimoth, mastermind of eclectic extremists Seth.

“I’ve been a death metal fan ever since and wrote some of these songs already in 1998, so it’s something I always wanted to do,” says multi-instrumentalist and virtuoso bass player of London-based Power Metallers DragonForce Fred Leclercq, who sticks to the guitar on this venture. “There was never the right time though, nor did I find the proper people to pull it off.”

The end result of this mighty fusion is the second successfully released album titled 'Repulsion For Humanity', featuring some head-splitting riffs, challenging rhythms and structures, but at once such an infectious record created by one of the most influencing and incredibly versatile musicians the metal scene has to offer.

It's been just a matter of time to finally bring this exciting band project live on stage:-

"We are really excited about this upcoming tour in the fall and we looking forward to finally being able to meet our fans. To embark on this run with HateSphere is an honour and a great motivation to outdo ourselves every night! Those of you who have already seen us with our other bands know what we are capable of; all these energies combined will be something unique you dont want to miss! See you all very soon!“
- Joey, Steph, Heimoth, Sean, Fred.

Check out this promising teaser in support of the band's upcoming 'Repulsion For Humanity Tour 2018' right HERE!

70000TONS OF METAL 2018: recap + 2019 destination announced

17/2/2018

Picture

There are your standard heavy metal festivals – and there is 70000TONS OF METAL. Just imagine: You’ve just returned from a beautiful island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean after spending hours enjoying the sun and white sand on a wonderful Caribbean beach. Feeling the warm wind blowing in your face, you are now sitting in a hot tub on a giant cruise ship, up close to a large stage, headbanging to your favourite band. You are watching from one of six whirlpools with a direct view of the stage on the pool deck, which is the biggest open air stage structure to sail the seas. It’s loud. It’s full of metalheads from all over the world. Sounds perfect? Well, it is ......

It’s been more than a week now since most fans have returned home from a more than successful 70000TONS OF METAL 2018 - round 8, more than a few of them still suffering from a serious case of PCD (post cruise depression) following four incredible days on board the Independence Of The Seas. More than 3,000 metalheads boarded the ship together with 61 bands, each of which was going to perform at least two shows (124 shows on 4 stages in total) during this unique event at sea. Some fans spent the shore day in Turks and Caicos with their favourite band during one of the various artist-led shore excursions. Picture yourself swimming with Meshuggah in the awe inspiring presence of majestic stingrays, or snorkeling with Aborted and Exhumed by your side to make you feel safe. Wolves on a safari? Sure, go on a coast-to-coast island tour with Wolfchant!

On top came the one of a kind All-Star performance “Jamming With Waters in International Waters” featuring members e.g. from Kreator, Sabaton, Cannibal Corpse, Destruction, Sonata Arctica, Meshuggah, Enslaved, Primal Fear, Dark Tranquility, Voivod, Seven Spires and many more, playing all time heavy metal and hard rock classics together on stage for the first time ever.

And there was another premiere, a record rather, that no one expected to be broken after last year’s peak of 74 different nationalities represented on board: 2018 beat 2017 by one more nation and proved once again that 70000TONS OF METAL is the most global cruise, uniting 75 nations on board this year. Germany, USA and Canada were among the top five of the most represented nations aboard. The youngest sailor was only 1 year old, the oldest turned 79 on the ship.

Picture
Coming up: Round 9

So watch out, Sailors: After the cruise is before the cruise. Fans can already look forward to round 9 of 70000TONS OF METAL, THE original, The World’s Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise sailing from Miami/Ft. Lauderdale to Labadee, Haiti and back, January 31 – February 4, 2019.

New Zealand's Heresiarch to return this summer with "Death Ordinance"

17/5/2017

Picture

New Zealand's Heresiarch will release Death Ordinance - the band's first ever full-length - this summer on Dark Descent Records. The album breaks a three-year silence following the band's 2014 7-inch Waelwulf. Heresiarch first emerged from the depths in 2011 with the Dark Descent Records-backed release Hammer of Intransigence.

Experience the band's evolution with No Clean Singing's exclusive premiere of "Storming Upon Knaves." Listen at: http://www.nocleansinging.com/2017/05/12/an-ncs-premiere-heresiarch-storming-upon-knaves/

Dark Descent Records will release Death Ordinance July 7 on CD and digital formats. Vinyl treatment to follow.

"Those who flee the hammer, shall abide the forge"

Death Ordinance is set in a future ravaged by 30 years of war, global societies have collapsed into anarchic warfare between tribal bands. Following nuclear warfare and EMP's, remnants of technology are repurposed solely for conflict. Regression becomes progress as oppression and power struggle with natural law and imminent extinction.

What remains of humanity struggles in the vestiges, the final lineage impotent and malformed, for the scraps of a dying world. The album documents the twilight of existence through three movements the onset as "Consecrating Fire" and concluding with "Desert of Ash".

Each song is deliberate with serving a purpose compositionally as well as with the lyrical narrative.

"Senses heightened, survival preceeds morality..."

New Zealand's Ulcerate shares "Extinguished Light" from Relapse-bound Shrines Of Paralysis; album and tour details announced

24/8/2016

Picture

Forward-thinking, unorthodox New Zealand death metal trio Ulcerate returns this October with their latest master-work Shrines Of Paralysis. A flawless continuation of the band's signature sonic philosophy, this week the band shares the album's street date and pre-orders, as well as the first single, "Extinguished Light."

Shrines Of Paralysis spans eight tracks of Ulcerate's singular death metal, incorporating a wider range of styles and ideas than ever before. Influences both within and beyond metal abound: organic, inventive phrasings and novel compositional techniques flesh out a thundering package of death, doom, and black metal styles. As is characteristic of the band, Shrines Of Paralysis is about much more than just the music. The production, themes, and atmosphere all shape Ulcerate's music, and help guide the way through a highly evocative palette of dark and light passages, subtly dramatic rhythmic manipulation, and unparalleled technical heaviness. The band's most cohesive and powerful release to date.

Stream "Extinguished Light," the first single from Shrines Of Paralysis, via Relapse HERE and the label's Soundcloud HERE.

Shrines Of Paralysis is due out October 28th, 2016 on CD, 2xLP, and digital formats via Relapse Records. Physical packages and digital pre-orders are available HERE.

Additionally, Ulceratehas announced a headlining North American Fall tour with Icelandic dissonance-mongers Zhrine and Montreal death metal quartet Phobocosm. The trek embarks out of Los Angeles on November 2nd and consumes the rest of the month, the final show taking place November 29th in Brooklyn, New York.
