American Melodic Death Metallers Light This City announce first European tour dates confirmed for September
Bay Area melodic death metal outfit Light This City announces the band's first ever European tour, confirmed for the end of summer, as the band continues to support of their acclaimed Terminal Bloom LP, released last year through Creator-Destructor Records.
Terminal Bloom, Light This City's first album in a decade, boasts ten tracks that capture their tendency towards extreme melody and intensity, honoring the Swedish sounds of the '90s. Having spent the past decade performing and touring in numerous other bands, the five members of Light This City have only honed and shaped their skills and musicianship since their 2008-released Stormchaser. Terminal Bloom was recorded from December 2017 through February 2018 with Zack Ohren (Suffocation, Cattle Decapitation, Fallujah) at Castle Ultimate Studios in Oakland, California, as with their previous four albums, and is wrapped in the vibrant cover artwork of Tony Midi.
Following several tours throughout the US and Canada, as well as their first tour of Mexico, and a recent tour of Japan, Light This City now confirms their maiden trip across the Atlantic. The band's European Bloom Part 1 trek will begin September 12th and run through Germany, Denmark, Holland, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland, coming to an end on September 21st. Watch for additional tour dates to be announced in the months ahead as the band continues to book new ventures.
Drummer Ben Murray states:-
"We couldn't be more excited to finally bring our thrash attack to Europe! This is just part 1 of our plan to tour Europe, as we'll be announcing another run early next year. If you live in one of these cities, we hope you make it out to one of the shows! It's been fifteen years since we began as a band, and we've wanted to get to Europe the whole time. See you in September!"

Founded in 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the HU members Gala, Jaya, Temka, and Enkush, with their producer, Dashka, combine the bombastic bass and drums of rock music with traditional Mongolian instrumentation like the Morin Khuur (horsehead fiddle), Tovshuur (Mongolian guitar), Tumur Khuur (jaw harp) and guttural throating singing. Since the formation of the band, they’ve been working on their first album, The Gereg. The band consists of Asami (vocals), Miho (bass), Haruna (drums), Midori (guitars) and Miyako (guitars/keyboard). The Lovebites sound owes a debt to the many great overseas heavy metal bands that have directly influenced their writing. Coupled with their own unique take on music, taking a piece from each member’s eclectic background and experiences, everything has culminated into forging a truly formidable group.
Their first European tour, including stops in the Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK starts on the 13th of November this year!

The Lovebites EP was the end product of those sessions, which was released in mid-2017. In October 2017 they released their first full album, "Awakening From Abyss". In the aftermath of the release of "Awakening From Abyss" in October 2017 through Europe and North America; Asami, Haruna, Midori, Miho and Miyako performed their first overseas live shows in London.
On the heels of this success, in June 2018 the all-female band won the Best New Band award at the Golden Gods Awards held by the UK music magazine Metal Hammer, being the very first Japanese band to pull this off.
Lovebites released their second mini album "Battle Against Damnation" that same month, taking it on the road with them to the world’s biggest metal festival Wacken Open Air in Germany, where they drove a crowd of over 10,000 people into frenzy before appearing on the main stage at the UK’s Bloodstock Open Air headlined by Judas Priest.
