Finland's Gothic Metallers The 69 Eyes recently announced that they will release their 12th studio album on September 13th. Right in time for their 30th band anniversary, 'West End' will see the light of day, so prepare for 11 up-tempo rock anthems full of heaviness, black memento mori moments and dark humour featuring several top-notch guest vocalists including Cradle Of Filth's Dani Filth, Wednesday 13 and Beastö Blancö's Calico Cooper.

Today, the band have revealed the first trailer for their upcoming album, in which they discuss the ”funeral balloons” sculpture on the cover of the album. The artwork was created by the famous Finnish sculptor Jiri Geller, a friend of the band since the very early days.

"It was like black magick to have Jiri back in our Helsinki Vampire circles again! I literally haven’t seen him for twenty years but he was the same freak as back then - and as we all are,” - singer Jyrki 69 praises the long-lost lost boy.

Watch the trailer, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oq5A3il7Dec

Picture

Lovebites will unleash the sophomore full-length album called "Clockwork Immortality" on the 7th of December 2018.

The band consists of Asami (vocals), Miho (bass), Haruna (drums), Midori (guitars) and Miyako (guitars/keyboard). The Lovebites sound owes a debt to the many great overseas heavy metal bands that have directly influenced their writing. Coupled with their own unique take on music, taking a piece from each member’s eclectic background and experiences, everything has culminated into forging a truly formidable group.

Their first European tour, including stops in the Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK starts on the 13th of November this year!

Lovebites European & UK tour:

13.11.  NL  Haarlem - Patronaat
14.11.  D    Essen - Zeche Carl
16.11.  D    Hamburg - Logo
19.11.  D    Aschaffenburg - Colos-Saal
20.11  FR   Paris - Nouveau Casino
21.11. UK   London - O2 Academy Islington

Lovebites started working on their first EP at the end of 2016, joined by the amazing engineering team of Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila from Finland who are known for their work with Nightwish, Children of Bodom and Amorphis to name but a few. The Lovebites EP was the end product of those sessions, which was released in mid-2017. In October 2017 they released their first full album, "Awakening From Abyss". In the aftermath of the release of "Awakening From Abyss" in October 2017 through Europe and North America; Asami, Haruna, Midori, Miho and Miyako performed their first overseas live shows in London.

On the heels of this success, in June 2018 the all-female band won the Best New Band award at the Golden Gods Awards held by the UK music magazine Metal Hammer, being the very first Japanese band to pull this off.

Lovebites released their second mini album "Battle Against Damnation" that same month, taking it on the road with them to the world’s biggest metal festival Wacken Open Air in Germany, where they drove a crowd of over 10,000 people into frenzy before appearing on the main stage at the UK’s Bloodstock Open Air headlined by Judas Priest.

Midori | guitars
Miyako | guitars

In the last few days UK melodic death metallers Bloodshot Dawn entered the studio to begin work on their third full length album, which will be entitled Renanimation, and is slated for released early 2018 via Hostile Media.

Frontman Josh McMorran comments, "We are pleased to announce we have joined forces with Hostile Media to release our third full length, Reanimation. After working with their press team for years we have built a stalwart relationship that we believe will help take us to the next level as well as making it easier to purchase our music across the globe. Their passion and commitment is equal to our tenacity and hard work ethic making this a force to be reckoned with!"

Since their acclaimed self-titled and second album Demons, there has been shifts in the bands ranks making way for new members, Canadian shredder Morgan Reid and drummer James Stewart (also of Vader and Divine Chaos). The band commented earlier about James joining the fold, "His experience and recording insight has helped shape the new album and we couldn't be happier!"

As well as the news of an imminent new release the band has announced a new UK / Ireland tour, their first in almost 2 years! "We are also excited to be hitting the tour circuit again after a short hiatus. We are hungry for live devastation and looking forward to seeing fans old and new!"

Dear marks the band’s 25th year of existence and while the 10-track album is chock-full of early-Boris calling cards, the avant-garde ravens aren’t learning on old tricks, describing the album as “heavenly—far beyond heavy.”  Boris have shared the album’s first single and magnificent new music video “Absolutego”.

Though Boris have traversed a broad swath of sonic territories, they have always been consistently embraced the excess, pushing their myriad of approaches and stylistic forays to points of intoxicating absurdity. Eventually the band reached a crossroads in the early years of their third decade together, leaving them wondering if there were any new horizons left to explore. The renewed vitality yielded an album that fortifies their monolithic wall of sound while also allowing the individual band members to explore the nuances and intricacies of minimalist riffs played at maximum volume.

Songwriting for Dear initially yielded three albums’ worth of material by the end of 2015, but as the band was slated to spend a large chunk of 2016 on their “Performing Pink” worldwide tour, they decided to hold off on releasing any new material. The tour further rekindled their passion for the craft, spurring the band to return home to crank out even more new material while scaling down three records’ worth of sonic deluge down to one.

From the glacial pacing and earthquaking rumble of the album opener to the smouldering rock ’n roll-infused “Absolutego”, Boris have managed to find wildly thrilling work in the familiar trenches of metal. Never ones to shy away from a challenge, the trio carves even experiments with fuzz fuelled dream pop.  “At the very first moment, this album began as some kind of potential farewell note of Boris,” the band said. “However, it became a sincere letter to fans and listeners… you know, like ‘Dear so-and-so, this is the new album from Boris’ or something like that. We feel so grateful we can release this album in our 25th anniversary year.”

Dear will be released to the world on July 14, 2017 on CD, 2xLP, and digital formats. Stay tuned for more news to come.

New Zealand's Heresiarch to return this summer with "Death Ordinance"

17/5/2017

Picture

New Zealand's Heresiarch will release Death Ordinance - the band's first ever full-length - this summer on Dark Descent Records. The album breaks a three-year silence following the band's 2014 7-inch Waelwulf. Heresiarch first emerged from the depths in 2011 with the Dark Descent Records-backed release Hammer of Intransigence.

Experience the band's evolution with No Clean Singing's exclusive premiere of "Storming Upon Knaves." Listen at: http://www.nocleansinging.com/2017/05/12/an-ncs-premiere-heresiarch-storming-upon-knaves/

Dark Descent Records will release Death Ordinance July 7 on CD and digital formats. Vinyl treatment to follow.

"Those who flee the hammer, shall abide the forge"

Death Ordinance is set in a future ravaged by 30 years of war, global societies have collapsed into anarchic warfare between tribal bands. Following nuclear warfare and EMP's, remnants of technology are repurposed solely for conflict. Regression becomes progress as oppression and power struggle with natural law and imminent extinction.

What remains of humanity struggles in the vestiges, the final lineage impotent and malformed, for the scraps of a dying world. The album documents the twilight of existence through three movements the onset as "Consecrating Fire" and concluding with "Desert of Ash".

Each song is deliberate with serving a purpose compositionally as well as with the lyrical narrative.

"Senses heightened, survival preceeds morality..."
