Desertfest Berlin has announced the first names for its 2023 edition, and is happy to welcome  Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, The Obsessed King Buffalo, Church Of Misery, Dozer, Blood Ceremony, L.A. Witch, Somali Yacht Club, Gnod, Ecstatic Vision, Daily Thompson, Gaupa and  Psychlona, with many more acts to be announced soon!

     Taking place between May 19 - 21, 2023 will see a venue change from the Arena to  Columbiahalle and Columbia Theater, with additional outdoor space & stage. Weekend tickets for Desertfest Berlin 2023 will be on sale this Friday, October 28th at 12PM CET via  www.desertfest.de

Portland's Red Fang has announced a new run of North American dates this coming April, which will see the band playing venues across the U.S. West Coast and British Columbia with support from Golden Void, Bison and Black Wizard on select dates. Red Fang recently celebrated its tenth anniversary with a trio of Northwestern U.S. performances.

The band returns to the studio later this month, recording the follow-up to "Whales & Leeches" with famed producer Ross Robinson (At The Drive In, The Cure, Sepultura) and mixing handled by Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Melvins, Tool) . Red Fang will trek from Portland to Robinson's Venice, Calif. studio with two shows en route: Feb. 17 at Jub Jub’s in Reno and Feb. 18 at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz.

New Orleans sludge metal masters, Crowbar, who released their latest and highly praised album “Symmetry In Black” in 2014, will return to European for another run of tour dates starting at the end of April! This run also includes a performance at London's legendary Desertfest on 29th April.
 
At some of the shows Crowbar will be accompanied by no other than doom legends, Trouble!

Bloodstock Open Air Festival is thrilled to reveal that New Orleans sludgemeisters Down are to headline the Friday night at Bloodstock 2014. The show will be a UK exclusive.

2014 also sees the pencilled release of ‘Down IV: Part 2’, the second in the band’s series of EPs. The opus follows in the footsteps of ‘Down IV: Part 1 - The Purple EP’, which hit stores last winter to a flurry of critical acclaim. The band have been hard at work in recent weeks demo’ing material at frontman, Philip Anselmo’s infamous ‘Nodferatu’s Lair’ studio, outside of New Orleans, LA.
