Picture

Since 2003 and their first self titled album, Dagoba have been fiercely climbing up to the top and proudly represent the French metal. Inspired by 90’s American metal acts such as Pantera, Machine Head and Fear Factory – now six albums (four of them in the top 50 album charts) later – Dagoba expanded their furious sound with dark, symphonic and industrial elements culminating on what is to become their strongest album to date, “Black Nova”. Dagobasound massive with rich dynamics, towering riffs, vigorous shouts and infectious melodic choruses all over the place.

And they were smashing stages worldwide and played more than 1500 gigs all over Europe, North America, Asia, and North Africa. Dagoba supported Metallica in Spain, went on European tours with In Flames, Sepultura, Moonspell, Apocalyptica, Fear Factory, Devin Townsend, and mighty Kreator. Togteher with Dir En Grey they toured the US as well as China and Japan twice. And they played at various festivals like Wacken Open Air, Graspop (x2), Hellfest Festival (x5!), Brutal Assault (x2), Sonisphere, Download Festival, Summer Breeze  Open Air (x2), Resurrection Fest, Vagos Metal Open Air, Printemps de Bourges, Motocultor, Full Metal Cruise, Full Metal Holiday, With Full force and many more!

"I was watching Dagoba's career with great interest for the last couple of years, and became a fan of this super talented band. And now I feel very honoured to work with this amazing live act from now on!" says Napalm Events' booking agent Thorsten Harm.

And the band states: "Dagoba is proud to be working with Napalm Events for worldwide bookings. It's an exciting time for the band, and we are happy to keep touring for our current album #BLACKNOVA and can revealed the following gigs. See you on the road!"

Australian Metalcore crew Amberyse add Brisbane date to 'The Glass House' tour; tour supports announced

Geelong metalcore crew Amberyse dropped their huge single "Glass House" and announced their 'The Glass House' Tour on May 3rd - and now they are adding a Brisbane date to that schedule - and are today announcing the sweet list of artists supporting them on the tour!

The single 'Glass House' is live for streaming and purchase now at bit.ly/GlassHouseSpotify and tickets for all shows on their tour are available at amberyse.com/shows.

The Geelong outfit initially announced three red hot shows for 'The Glass House Tour' - with shows at Sydney's Crowbar, Melbourne's Stay Gold and Geelong's Workers. Today they have added Saturday July 6 in Brisbane at Crowbar, supporting Brissy home town alt-metal legends Meliorist, who have also experienced recent success with their EP and singles! Tickets to all shows are available at www.amberyse.com/shows.

The Crowbar Sydney show will feature support from Liberties, Kaskeid, Elision and Infinite Illusion, Melbourne's Stay Gold show remains a hyped-up mystery for now, Geelong's Workers' show will see The Gloom in The Corner, Liberties and Shopping Trolley Fist Fight - and the Brisbane show sees Meliorist headlining, Amberyse in main support and Isla Vera.

The track "Glass House" is produced, mixed and mastered at The Loud Noise Estate and at its core is about drug abuse and struggling to overcome addiction. The track has managed to secure the band plays on triple j's Short. Fast. Loud., rotation play on The Faction Radio and playlist addition to Spotify's Homegrown and Heavy and Apple Music's Heaps Heavy Playlist!

Forming in early 2015, Geelong's own Amberyse wasted little time establishing themselves as a fiery and energetic collection of musicians with a dynamic stage presence. The groups blend of heavy/melodic riffs, groove riddled percussion and the frenzied energy of frontman Jayden bring together a unique sound that they are proud to call their own. The release of their last creation 'Heavy Hands' in 2018 saw the group playing with the likes of Northlane, In Hearts Wake, Ocean Grove, Hands like Houses and Deez Nuts.

"Glass House" is out now at iTunes & Apple Music/Spotify/Google Play and all good online stores and streaming outlets. Tickets are on sale now for Amberyse's Glass House Tour at amberyse.com/shows.

Puerto Rican Stoner / Prog Metallers Moths announce US tour

4/2/2019

Picture

San Juan stoner/progressive metal act Moths embark on their first mainland United States performances this February with a string of shows on the East Coast.  Following the November 2018 release of their debut EP (s/t), the band is looking forward to bringing their music to new audiences.

Says bassist Weslie Negrón:-

"We're extremely excited to be able to perform in the U.S. Mainland for the first time. Since we got featured as Album of the Day in Bandcamp, we've had people from the areas that we're playing give us great reactions to the EP -- and we can't wait to show people what the Puerto Rican metal scene is all about.  There's a lot of talent in the Island, especially regarding metal, so we want to encourage people to keep digging on the bands that we got here."

Picture

Tour Dates

  • 2/7/19: Ralph's Rock Diner, Worcester, Massachusetts -- with Cazador, North Star the Wanderer, and Bone Church

  • 2/8/19: Century Bar, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania -- with Moons, The Stone Eye, and DipEater
  • 2/9/19: La Cabaña Restaurant, Washington, DC -- with SunLord, Sangre Inedita, Part Death, Visceral Violation, and Sky Raider

  • 2/10/19: The Kingsland, Brooklyn, New York -- with Lightmaker, False Gods, and Reign of Zaius

Moths is a stoner/progressive metal band from San Juan, Puerto Rico that blends powerful riffs with unexpected and increasingly progressive undertones. The band was founded in 2016 by Weslie Negrón (bass), Jonathan Miranda (lead guitar), and Omar González (rhythm guitar), with the later addition of Damaris Rodríguez (vocals) and Daniel Figueroa (drums). With influences ranging from Porcupine Tree to King Crimson, they have impressed their local metal scene with an uncommon style that's enjoyed by metalheads and non-metal fans alike. With Damaris’ aggressive but melodic vocals, Omar’s catchy riffs, Jonathan’s unorthodox leads, Weslie’s solid bass lines, and Daniel’s extreme drumming, Moths create a perfect balance of heavy and cohesive music that impacts audiences on a whole new level.

While the band was affected by Hurricane Maria, which devastated much of Puerto Rico in September 2017, they pushed through trying times to continue their craft. Their debut self-titled EP was released in November 2018 to international accolades, including being featured by bandcamp as an Album of the Day.

Go Loud Agency, in collaboration with Darkside Records, is proud to announce that all-star band MaYaN (NL) – featuring members of Epica, Nightwish and Firewind, among others – will play four exclusive shows in the Baltic States, with very special guests Carthagods (TN). The Baltic tour will hit Tallinn (EE), Riga (LV), Liepaja (LV) and Vilnius (LT), marking the band’s first appearance in the Baltic States.

TOUR DATES

08.12.2018 | Liepaja (LV) | Fontaine Palace

Picture

MaYaN was conceived in early 2010 by versatile musician and Epica mastermind Mark Jansenand old friend, ex-After Forever keyboardist Jack Driessen. Their goal was to write an album in the style they’ve always been longing to play. Mark asked guitarist Frank Schiphorst (Symmetry, Christmas Metal Symphony) to join in: the chemistry was undeniable and the project soon evolved into a real band. The initial lineup was thus completed by Epica drummer Ariën van Weesenbeek and guitarist Isaac Delahaye.

Boasting vocalists like Henning Basse (currently Firewind), Laura Macrì, Simone Simons (Epica) and Floor Jansen (currently Nightwish), MaYaN‘s debut album Quarterpast – released via Nuclear Blast in 2011 – quickly grabbed the media’s attention, with excellent reviews, in-depth interviews and raving reactions of fans worldwide to boot.

After the release of their sophomore album Antagonise in 2014 – the first MaYaN album to enter the official Dutch and Belgian album charts, as well as album of the month in leading Dutch metal magazine Aardschok and album of the week in Revolver Magazine – followed by very successful tours and prestigious festivals through parts of Europe, Central and South America, the band is now ready to promote their current album Dhyana. Aside from a handful of excellent guests, the record also features orchestral arrangements provided by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra (the very same orchestra of Dimmu Borgir’s album Death Cult Armageddon).

MaYaN live lineup:

– Grunts: Mark Jansen – George Oosthoek
– Clean male vocals: Adam Denlinger / Henning Basse (special guest)
– Clean female vocals: Laura Macrì – Marcela Bovio
– Keyboards: Jack Driessen
– Guitars: Frank Schiphorst – Merel Bechtold / Arjan Rijnen (backup) / Jord Otto (backup)
– Bass: Roel Käller
– Drums: Ariën van Weesenbeek

Carthagods was one of the first metal bands to emerge from Tunisia in the late 90’s. Undoubtedly, they are the pioneers of heavy metal, not to mention the oldest existing Metal band in the country. Their powerful sound, influence, and longevity make them one of the most important bands in the history of the Tunisian Metal scene.

Carthagods is expected to release their upcoming EP in the beginning of 2019. The record will feature guitar virtuoso Timo Somers (Delain, Arrow Haze, Vengeance, to name a few), whom has also served the band as live guitarist since 2015.

Carthagods has brought their authentic blend of metal worldwide (France, Romania, Malta, Turkey, Belgium, Holland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia) and played a handful of prestigious shows in the band’s homeland Tunisia: the fivepiece has shared the stage with industry giants such as Dark Tranquility, Epica, Judas Priest and Blind Guardian.

In early 2018, Carthagods signed a record deal with Darkside Records, followed by the release of their single “The Devil’s Dolls” (watch it here).

Carthagods are:

M.Khema (Vocals)
Timo SOMERS (live Lead Guitars)
Tarak (Guitars)
Zack (Drums & backing vocals)
Timon (Bass)
