UK groove death metallers Bloodshot Dawn announce their first cross Canada tour this coming April in support of their third full length album "Reanimation" unleashed this past January via Hostile Media. The tour will kick off in Quebec City on April 17th and wrap up in Calgary on May 1st. Supporting the band across the country will be Cambridge, ON's Aepoch. Canada is also guitarist Morgan Reid's home country and it's a special return home for him. The Canadian shredder joined the band's line up after previous guitarist Ben Ellis went on to perform with Scar Symmetry. Reid is now part of Bloodshot Dawn's fresh assault that includes sticksman James Stewart of Vader fame on drums, new bass player Giacomo Gastaldi along with vocalist and guitarist Josh McMorran.

"We are hitting Canada this April and we are excited to perform in North America for the first time. We're looking forward to headbanging with all our Canadian fans and visiting the beautiful country our guitarist Morgan grew up in." says band leader Josh McMorran.

First formed in 2003, Bloodshot Dawn have evolved into a technically ferocious extreme metal outfit. Hailed by Terrorizer Magazine as a band that delivers “blistering live shows”, Bloodshot Dawn has become a household name in the UK underground along with truly establishing themselves as a heavyweight act amongst their peers and the worldwide metal scene. They have toured across the UK, Japan, India, Ireland, most of Europe plus have supported bands like Fleshgod Apocalypse, Vader, Scar Symmetry, Wintersun, Krisiun, Decapitated and more along with performing on major festivals Bloodstock Open Air (UK), Hammerfest (UK), UK Techfest, Metal Days (Slovenia) and Mav Festival (Italy).

Their latest album "Reanimation" features prominent guests including Jeff Loomis (Arch Enemy, Nevermore), Paul Wardingham, Ken Sorceron (Abigail Williams, The Faceless) and Mendel Bij De Leij (Aborted). The album was mixed and mastered by Per Nilsson from Scar Symmetry while artwork was completed by Chris Kewli & Tomasz Strzalkowski.

A full stream of "Reanimation" can be heard on Bandcamp here plus is available for stream and download on Hostile Media's online store here, iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and all other major online retailers.

Internationally-renowned heavy metal leaders Lamb Of God will support metal legends Slayer on leg one, North America, of what will be Slayer's final world tour. The 26-date trek will begin on May 10 and visit several major cities - from San Diego to Toronto, Orlando to Minneapolis. Additional support will come from fellow metal heavyweights Anthrax, Behemoth, and Testament. Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday, January 26; log onto www.lamb-of-god.com for all ticketing info.

Randy Blythe of Lamb Of God says: "If you are lucky enough to be invited to play even just once with living legends like Slayer, it's an incredible honour. Slayer gave Lamb Of God our very first two overseas shows. Slayer has subsequently taken us on several full-length tours, both at home and abroad. The guys in Slayer and their crew have also always been very, very cool to our band. It is irrefutable that Slayer helped create the genre of aggressive metal, and all modern bands of that ilk owe them a huge debt - I know we do. To be asked to be a part of their final tour - well, it just makes you stop and realize just how lucky you are. Hail Slayer! We'll see you on the road..."

As we creep through October, BLOODSTOCK is very excited to announce three more bands for 2018!

Joining Friday’s bill in the Ronnie James Dio main stage special guest slot are black metal legends, EMPEROR in a UK exclusive appearance. Frontman Ihsahn tells us that they’ll be performing a special set based around one of their classic albums. “We're finally bringing the 20th Anniversary show for ‘Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk’ to the UK!  We’ll be performing the album in its entirety and look forward to celebrating with everyone at BLOODSTOCK!” Check out a stream of the atmospheric opus here and get excited for next August - https://youtu.be/Jmlhq5rtFXw.

Also stepping into a main stage slot on Sunday are Californian circle pit kings, DEVILDRIVER.  Frontman Dez Fafara tells us “DEVILDRIVER is playing BLOODSTOCK in 2018 and we couldn’t be more fucking ready to bring the heavy and get the whole festival moving! We are thankful for the opportunity and can’t wait to see everyone there!  Get ready to get the fuck in the pit!” Check out the band doing what they do best in the video for the title track of their current studio album, ‘Trust No One’ - https://youtu.be/XuVibnWHoLA.

Hotly-tipped, super brutal three-piece, NAILS land a Ronnie James Dio main stage slot on Sunday in a UK exclusive show.  Frontman Todd Jones informs us, “I've been following BLOODSTOCK and looking at their advertisements online for the past few years, admiring how great a job the festival does having a great mix of underground bands and some of metal's biggest and finest. We're proud to finally say we're part of what BLOODSTOCK is doing to fight the good fight!  We'll see all you motherfuckers at BLOODSTOCK!!!”  Not familiar with NAILS?  Melt your face with 91 seconds of hardcore intensity via the video for ‘You Will Never Be One Of Us’ - https://youtu.be/hGGGh03jN4w.

With Friday night headliners, JUDAS PRIEST, Saturday night headliners, GOJIRA and Sunday headliners, NIGHTWISH already announced for next year's event, 2018 is shaping up to be another stellar year for BLOODSTOCK.
