One of the best parts of music is how it brings people together by giving artists a platform to share their personal experiences that gives listeners comfort in knowing they aren't alone in the trials and tribulations they face in life. Denver metalcore band, The Anchor, strives to make meaningful music that fans can connect to their own lives. Describing their inspiration as "Knowing first hand the refuge that music can offer away from life's struggles, we hope to be a voice of understanding and provide a place that someone can call their home." The West Coast band is excited to announce they will be taking their infectious live show on the road with their first ever East Coast run which features support from VRSTY (We Are Triumphant). The Anchor has seen success since their debut album was released in 2016 (hitting #7 on the iTunes metal charts) and their most recent EP on Manic Kat Records, "Make It Last," catapulted the band to a new level earlier this year hitting #19 on the Billboard Heatseeker Chart along with multiple iTunes charts. Frontwoman Linzey Rae has made a name for herself in the metal community as not only an immensely talented screamer and clean vocalist, but also for her YouTube stardom showcasing her vivacious personality. The "Make It Last Summer Tour" kicks off on May 31st in South Bend, IN and wraps up on June 17th in the band's home town of Denver, CO. The band is stoked to be heading out later this month and shared, "We are super excited to finally be heading to the East Coast with our new friends in VRSTY!" The "Make It Last," EP is available on all streaming platforms including Spotify with physical merch at Big Cartel. The Anchor is a five-piece, female-fronted, metalcore band from Denver, Colorado. The Anchor and Linzey Rae have made a name for themselves since the viral explosion of their YouTube series, Metal Kitchen. In December 2016, The Anchor released their first full-length album, A World Ahead, which charted #7 on the metal iTunes charts. After signing with Manic Kat Records, The Anchor released their next EP, Make it Last, in February 2018. Following the EP release, Make it Last charted #19 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, #11 on the iTunes Alternative chart, and #99 on the iTunes New Release chart.

"We are looking forward to kicking off our 2018 touring cycle promoting our new album "Past, Present...Torture" in Asia next month. Although we've done a few Asian tours before, this run is special considering these shows will be our first live appearances since the release of the new album, and also because it will be our first time performing in countries such as Taiwan, Vietnam and Malaysia where we have never been to before. We toured with De Profundis (and Onslaught) last time around and we became good friends with all of them. With the current line-up of the band it made the most sense to call upon our friends Shoi and Arran to fill in the empty bass and lead guitar spots, they are both stellar musicians and with their experience you know that Demonic Resurrection is going to deliver the goods. We look forward to seeing all our fans at the shows." More information on this can be found on the official Demonic Resurrection page HERE. The second festival appearance is at Eradication Festival 2018 where the leading band will be playing alongside bands such as Extreme Noise Terror, Hecate Enthroned, Wombbath, Warlord UK and others. Official Demonic Resurrection Bandcamp Official Demonic Resurrection Facebook Official Demonic Resurrection YouTube Channel In what promises to be the biggest year for Evanescence yet, the group’s “Synthesis Live” tour kicks off in the UK with two sold out nights at the Royal Festival Hall on March 30th and 31st. Few people in rock music have the pipes of vocalist Amy Lee. Her soulful tone and distinguished sound are as identifiable as they are unique, and this time the band will be bringing a live orchestra and electronic programming out on the road with them, conducted by Susie Benchasil Seiter. Lee says “This will be our first time touring with orchestra and I’m so excited to perform this way-really focus on the vocals, and the emotion and the story we’ve built over the years” Reviews from the US and Australian legs of the tour have been ecstatic:- “Evanescence lead singer Amy Lee made the leap from goth-rocker to opera diva last night, when she and the band led a 28-piece orchestra through a sold-out performance at the Greek Theatre. Lee firmly re-establishes herself as one of rock's pre-eminent vocalists, exhibiting an impressive range that still packs a wallop…. she and the ensemble turn the familiar material including crowd favourites like the GRAMMY-winning 'Bring Me To Life' into full-throttle, wide-screen epics, with themes of loss, guilt and self-doubt enlarged to tragedy on the Greek’s proscenium. The arrangements substitute strings, woodwinds, brass, synths and drum machines for electric guitars and bass, a synthesis of rock, classical and EDM." (Variety) "“With the theatrics up front and their old goth accents taking a back seat, the show presented Lee in the way she was perhaps always meant to be heard. 4****” (The Sydney Morning Herald) Evanescence released Synthesis, their fourth and most ambitious album to date in November last year. The band - lead singer-songwriter and pianist Amy Lee, bassist Tim McCord, drummer Will Hunt, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Troy McLawhorn and guitarist Jen Majura along with producers Will Hunt and orchestra arranger and composer David Campbell reworked classic Evanescence tracks along with two new songs, the first of which, entitled “Imperfection” can be heard HERE. The album includes a guest performance by celebrated violinist Lindsey Stirling on “Hi-Lo” the other new song on the album. Amy Lee explains the meaning behind “Imperfection,” “For me, this is the most important song on the album. It's for all the people we’ve lost, all the people who we could lose, to suicide and depression. I'm singing from the perspective of the person left behind, the person in the waiting room. It’s a plea to fight for your life, to stay. Don't give into the fear- I have to tell myself that every day. Nobody is perfect. We are all imperfect, and it’s precisely those imperfections that make us who we are, and we have to embrace them because there’s so much beauty in those differences. Life is worth fighting for. You are worth fighting for.” Catch EVANESCENCE on “Synthesis Live” in the following cities: March 2018 Fri 30th Royal Festival Hall, London (SOLD OUT) Sat 31st Royal Festival Hall, London (SOLD OUT) April 2018 Mon 2nd 02 Apollo, Manchester (SOLD OUT) Tue 3rd Arena, Nottingham Thurs 5th Armadillo, Glasgow (SOLD OUT) Fri 6th City Hall, Sheffield (SOLD OUT) Mon 9th Eventim Apollo, London –NEW DATE JUST ADDED Tickets range from £39-85.
