French Black / Death metal masters The Order Of Apollyon, also referred to as TOOA, have inked a record deal with Agonia Records, with plans to record a new EP in 2016. Formed in 2008 by BST (Aosoth, ex-Aborted) and then-drummer Daniel Wilding (Carcass), The Order Of Apollyon is an artistic and spiritual concept. With lyrics based on "the Divine nature of Death, and the prophecy carried on by Death's ultimate servant, man, and a music between death metal and black metal, with martial ambient influences" (as commented by the band themselves), TOOA have developed their personal sound through two full length albums: "The Flesh" (2010) and "The Sword And The Dagger" (2015). Accompanied by a line-up consisting of members of the elite of the French Black Metal scene (Hell Militia, Aosoth, Temple of Baal), and starting a new international collaboration with Agonia Records, the band is now focusing on their next release, to be recorded at the infamous Bst Studios. The video was directed and edited by Nicolas Iriarte, with assistance from Felipe Vergara and Nicolas Vergara. Illumination by Huge Tejo. Stream "Oath" in its entirety at this location. "Oath" is also available at these fine establishments: SickBangers, iTunes and CD Baby. The fabulous artwork is by renowned artist Costin Chioreanu (Arch Enemy, At The Gates, Arcturus). The artist had this to say about it: "The illustration which I crafted for Lefutray's album "Oath" is telling the story of the moribund society we are living in front of human nature. At the same is a straight message to all people out there: is time to leave all our garbage behind, all our rules, all our masks, all our standards, all our hypocrisy and all the nonsense of this illusion which we created and named "society". Is time to rediscover what we really are, no matter how painful can be the price for that, no matter how tough will be for our mind to learn a new system of values and to understand the existence of explainable which can be analyzed with the soul and instinct. Inside ourselves is the key, and the prison around needs to be eliminated. This is the story behind this front cover." "It's fast, intense, and just a well rounded album." - Head-Banger Reviews "Oath bashes from start to end, and will resonate with those who desire a more abrasive juggernaut of thrash that still keeps groove in mind." - Eternal-Terror "Lefutray have done a great job of cultivating a sound that is their very own. Though they certainly fit into the thrash metal polemic, Oath proves that they can do so much more." - Two Guys Metal Reviews "Oath offers fast, powerful guitar runs, raging drums, dominant bass, and intoxicating groove." - Metalinside.de "Eleven songs of a modern Thrash Metal with much groove. Pure adrenaline almost from start to finish." - Queens of Steel "Deathy groove metal!" - WORT Mosh Pit Radio www.lefutray.cl Twitter.com/LEFUTRAY www.facebook.com/LefutrayOficialEsp “Ancient Forces” is the debut studio album of Russian Symphonic Power Metal band Antillia. The sound of this record combines the vigor of Power metal and the sonority of symphonic orchestrations made by the Belgian composer Maliki Ramia. The whole epic sound is complimented with Alexander Kolesov’s forceful tenor and Elena Belova’s delicate soprano. The album is dedicated to the fantasy themes. Stories of magic, love and epic battles will take the listener to a whole new world, where the Ancient Forces, woken up by the narrators, might bring the salvation as well as the devastation. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond their control, the In This Moment tour was postponed and so The Defiled's headline dates also became delayed. Both the headline shows and the support shows with In This Moment have now been announced to take place in May. Full dates are below. The AvD comments: “After our 'Running in Circles' tour getting postponed earlier this year we are proud to announce that we are hitting the road with our brothers Forever Never. These are off dates that coincide with our In This Moment UK tour so get ready for some intimate drunken shenanigans. Can't wait to see all your pretty faces, let's party!” 2016 will also be a record breaking year for the band when the four piece are officially added to the Guinness Book Of World Records. Braving arctic conditions, The Defiled became the first band to play a gig on an iceberg last year as part of Jagermeister’s Ice Cold Gig series. The stunt will be immortalised forever in the 2016 Guinness Book Of World Records. So many things beyond our control went wrong, but we started to dig deep as brothers.” “We went through hell to finish this record, and the music translates that,” singer Anthony Notarmaso agrees. “Trent worked his ass off, and it shows. It’s crazy because I think it brought us closer as band. Justin wrote some riffs that ended up on the, but after a couple of days in the studio he left. He obviously wasn’t okay, and we wanted him to get well. I arrived a few days after the guys had gotten there. I never got to see him.” Notarmaso is referring to the untimely death of the band mate Justin Lowe in July. Pre-orders for the nine-song album are available now with instant downloads of “Lost in the Static” (https://youtu.be/hUNAX1UYeAE) and “Collapse” available with digital downloads via iTunes (http://smarturl.it/DigDeep-iTunes) and Google Play (http://smarturl.it/DigDeep-GooglePlay). Physical bundles are available via Sumerian Records (http://sumerianmerch.com). "Dig Deep" was recorded at Graphic Nature Audio in New Jersey with producer Will Putney (The Amity Affliction, Upon A Burning Body). The album is the first where the band partnered with a producer. “We had not tried it before,” explains Hafdahl. “It felt like a fresh idea to do something new. We were still running the show obviously, but he brought a good ear for tone and melody. He encouraged us to explore more. To have that perspective was helpful.” After The Burial join label mates Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, Bad Omens and ERRA for Sumerian Records’ 10 Year Tour: February 19 Minneapolis, MN Skyway Theatre February 20 Chicago, IL The Bottom Lounge February 21 Millvale, PA Mr. Small’s Theatre February 22 Indianapolis, IN The Emerson Theater February 23 Pontiac, MI The Crofoot Ballroom February 24 Cleveland, OH Agora Theatre February 25 Philadelphia, PA Union Transfer February 26 Worcester, MA The Palladium February 27 New York, NY The Gramercy Theatre February 28 Baltimore, MD Baltimore Sound Stage February 29 Greensboro, NC Greene Street Club March 2 Tampa, FL The Orpheum March 4 San Antonio, TX Korova March 5 Houston, TX Walters Downtown March 6 Austin, TX Dirty Dog Bar March 7 El Paso, TX Tricky Falls March 8 Mesa, AZ Nile Theater March 9 Hollywood, CA The Roxy Theatre March 10 Sacramento, CA Ace of Spades March 11 Fresno, CA Strummer’s (w/Veil of Maya only) March 12 San Diego, CA Soma March 13 Pomona, CA The Glasshouse March 14 Las Vegas, NV Eagle Aerie Hall (headlining date) March 15 Albuquerque, NM Sunshine Theatre (w/Born of Osiris only) March 16 Denver, CO The Summit Music Hall March 17 Lawrence, KS Granada Theater March 18 St. Louis, MO Fubar Tickets are available via http://sumerian10year.com. www.facebook.com/aftertheburial www.aftertheburial.net www.twitter.com/aftertheburial www.instagram.com/aftertheburial |
