The German pirate metal horde The Privateer, have announced their upcoming third album "The Goldsteen Lay". The album will be released on July 28, 2017 via NoiseArt Records.
The band states:
"Ahoy bloody landlubbers! Finally the work of the last few years will pay off. Our new album "The Goldsteen Lay" will be released on 28 July 2017 under the flag of NoiseArt Records! You can expect an outstanding concept-album with eleven chapters full of madness, eternal life and treasures which won’t let any privateer sleep peacefully ever again! The next weeks we will publish further details about the album!"
Recorded in the safe harbours of the Iguana Studios in March-Burchheim under the control of experienced captain Christoph Brandes who also kicked the gangway of mix & mastering, "The Goldsteen Lay" is an overwhelming adventure in terms of sound engineering as well.
The Privateer travel the seven seas since 2007 and they are looking back onto two successful albums and dozens of landing parties in their homeland as well as foreign and exotic countries. Their Heavy Folk Metal dispersed dust right from their first prey on, and they've found accommodation with the lubbers of NoiseArt Records just in time for their third album. NoiseArt can't get enough from "The Goldsteen Lay" and will on their part make sure that this adventure will be available worldwide. We have set sails already... will you join us on this epic and adventurous journey?
Necronaut (noun); derived from the Greek words nekros (νεκρός), meaning "corpse" or "dead", and nautes (ναύτης), meaning "sailor". A person who experiments with near-death experiences in order to explore the underworld.
Necronautical (adj); of or pertaining to Necronautics or Necronauts.
Necronautical (band); A cluster of musicians using the medium of extreme blackened metal in order to disconnect from reality and to espouse the thought that true freedom of the spirit is found beyond the monotony of modern human existence.
Fittingly wearing the crown of thorns as the fourth inductees to the resurrected Cacophonous coven, Misanthropic Black Metal 4-piece Necronautical blur the barriers between fantasy and reality. Voyaging the treacherous waters of the underworld, they explore notions of the afterlife with their pummelling, virtuoso musicianship. Their colossal sophomore album "The Endurance At Night" is set for release 15th July on Cacophonous, and showcases a new energy and strength for British extreme music.
"Necronautical are delighted to become part of the Cacophonous family. We are humbled to appear on the same heritage-rich label that brought the world such great and influential bands as Cradle of Filth and the legendary Bal-Sagoth, and proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our brothers in The Infernal Sea, The King is Blind and Old Corpse Road at the forefront of UK Black Metal.
Our upcoming album 'The Endurance at Night' will leave listeners battered and raw; awestruck by the brutality and power inherent in the universe, interpreted herein as a salvo of scathing blasts, screeching melodies and churning riffs. We're very excited to show the world what we've been working on, and can't wait to showcase the new album on stage in the Autumn this year.” - Anchorite, Bass

A non-stop auditory rampage in the stripped-down and dirty style sans-amplification and riding high on Heavy Mahogany mastery, the unruly new album discharges fourteen debauchery-ridden rippers intoxicating the listener with more than forty-two minutes of top-shelf hard-partying action.
