Peruvian doom-death cult Antichrist premiere the new track "Obscurantism" at heavily trafficked web-portal CVLTNation.com. The track hails from the band's highly anticipated debut album of Pax Moriendi, set for international release on March 9th via Iron Bonehead Productions. Hear Antichrist's "Obscurantism" in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Formed in 2004 but not really kicking into recorded gear until a decade later, Antichrist soon released a steady stream of demos between 2014 and 2016. Through this requisite underground graft, the trio studiously perfected their craft, shaping its huge 'n' haunting foundation - the doom-death trinity of Thergothon, Unholy, and Winter - into something qualitatively their own. And indeed, across the five-song/45-minute Pax Moriendi, the listener is taken down into sewers a mile deep (or more), tweaking that immortal doom-death schematic into something righteously foul and filthy but still well within the range of melancholic human experience. Crushing-yet-ethereal chords reverberate through the forlorn night, and ever deeper into one's worst corners of their subconscious; the attack is slow yet insistent early on, with the foulness and filth flung liberally, to either alienate part-timers or beckon the most intrepid of souls. Then, as the album plays on, Pax Moriendi reveals a wounded sort of slo-mo melody, a blanching vulnerability, shedding its layers of metaphysical/spiritual garbage for the laid-bare/laid-to-rest epiphany of climactic closer "You Will Never See Sun Light."
No, indeed you won't when faced with the enormity of Antichrist's Pax Moriendi. Here is your funeral: welcome the end. Walk forth to the commencement of that funeral with the new track "Obscurantism" HERE, courtesy of CVLTNation.com, and the previously revealed "In the Dark and Mournful Corner of Memory" HERE at Iron Bonehead's Soundcloud.

Oh wow! Back in 2008, Alestorm were mere newcomers and beginners - and yet they created a modern metal classic and a completely new subgenre. Captain Morgan`s Revenge marks the birth of Pirate Metal as we know it today and turned a couple of young Scotsmen into the hottest band the modern metal scene has to offer! Ten years later and sold-out shows all over the world, their boozy debut gets its well-deserved anniversary treatment and will be re-released on January 26th 2018 with Napalm Records!
Captain Morgan`s Revenge – 10th Anniversary Edition has received a fresh remix and remastering by original producer Lasse Lammert at his LSD studios and will be coming with a rejuvenated artwork. Alongside the 'Live At Summer Breeze' bonus disc, this re-release will be a true gem for all collectors, new fans and nostalgics alike!
The pirates about their upcoming Anniversary Edition:
"Oh wow! Can't believe it's been 10 years already since we made this record. We were all terrible musicians back then, and it was only thanks to the immense skill of our producer Lasse Lammert that we managed to salvage a passable bunch of songs. But anyway, it seems a bunch of you people seemed to like this album, so we decided to give it a bit of spit and polish for the 10th anniversary. NO, this is not one of those shitty 'brickwall' remasters that some bands do, and NO, this is not a re-recording by a bunch of disinterested and jaded old musicians. We've taken the original multitrack source material from 10 years ago (bad playing, cheap keyboards, awful vocals and everything), and just re-mixed the whole album to be punchier, tighter, more dynamic, and more sonically delightful than before. You probably won't even notice the difference! But it's there. And it'll sound awesome on vinyl, for the first time ever!"
Captain Morgan`s Revenge – 10th Anniversary Edition, coming as CD digi pack, LP gatefold and digital download, is now available for pre-order HERE!

Peruvian Heavy Metal Warriors, Mandragora announce pre-orders for upcoming album & unleash album cover and track list for their upcoming album "Waves OF Steel" to be released on CD & Cassette on INFERNO Records - Set for October 30th 2017.
Mandragora is a Traditional Heavy Metal band hailing from Nuevo Chimbote City in north Peru, South America.
The band was formed back in 2007 by bassist Jorge Mandragora with the arrivals of Pablo Campana (guitar), Fatima Natthammer (Female vocalist) and Beto Alpiscueta (drums). Quickly the band started to develop their own style & compose their own original songs with influences from classic Heavy-Metal & NWOBHM sounds and also started playing live in their home town in local Pubs and Bars like “El Bucanero”, “Dinosaurios”, but also found other stages to burn in the country. In 2010 - after guitarist Herman Gers joined the band - MANDRAGORA recorded its first demo called "Steel Metal" with the help (as producers) of COBRA's guitarist Nito. That demo was then released to 500 copies on Colombian label Hellhoundz Records but also on Peruvian label Capricorn Records as a limited cassette edition to 150 copies.
More live-appearances followed then.. sharing stages with bands like DOMINUS PRAELII, APOCALYPTIC RAIDS, CAUCHEMAR, COBRA, PENTARAM (Chi), ENFORCER, SATAN.... 2013 saw the band entering the studios again to record two new songs for a 7"EP to be released on INKAS NOIZE Records in 2014 - that EP got excellent feedbacks from the underground media & public and in the next weeks (after the band shared the stage with German Metal Queen DORO), the band inked a deal with French record label INFERNO Records. Today the band delivers its best effort to date - the first full-length album "Waves Of Steel" which shows a more mature band with an even bigger potential now ! Get Ready !!
MANDRAGORA's music is best described as Old-School Hard-Rock / Heavy-Metal highly recommended for fans of ACID, ACCEPT, SAXON, IRON MAIDEN, JAGUAR. Bassist Jorge had this to say about their new album:
"Hey brothers! We are very excited to present our debut album "Waves of Steel". This debut album represents the effort of all the members. And it's been two years of hard work and patient waiting, but believe me it's been worth it. We are from a small town, maybe lost on the map but we a breathe Heavy Metal. We are between the sea and steel industries: Nuevo Chimbote city. We want to go out on the road right now to show our music. Right now we are going to tour Peru and some countries in South America. And of course, we hope to get to Europe soon and conquer their scenarios. We will drink tons of beer and Peruvian Pisco to celebrate! Cheers mi brothers and much Metal for your lives !"

Norwegian extreme metal titans Ancient have announced their Latin American tour dates and cities, kicking off on September 7th in Mexico. Check out the tour dates below.
Ancient Frontman Zel stated:
"We are very excited and proud to announce the Ancient tour in Latin America in September. This has in many ways been a dream come true for us, to finally tour this corner of the world. The tour that took place in 2007 was not with a full band line-up and I was not even there myself, but this time we will bring the most powerful and energetic line up Ancient has ever had, with Mr. Nick Barker himself on the drums!!
A lot of fans from countries like Honduras, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Venezuela and especially Brazil, have been writing to us asking why we will not visit these places during the tour. The thing is, that it does not depend on the band, we would play in every single country if we had the chance. These decisions are always made by the booking agency and the local promoters in each country. Sometimes the expenses (especially with travelling) are simply too high to make it happen, but we will do our best to return again with an even bigger tour next time !!! Let's keep the Ancient spirit alive !!"
South American Tour 2017:
September 7 Mexico - Merida Yucatan
September 8 Mexico - San Luis Potosi
