In the Spring of 2010, Tregor Russo decided to give life to a new musical project with the intent to create music and lyrics from the deep feelings, pathos, dark emotions and melancholic atmospheres and immerse them in complex gloomy arrangements. And so Dyonisian were born, with Tregor as Guitarist, Composer, Arranger and Lyricist. Dyonisian deliver Symphonic Doom and Progressive Death Metal mixed with other sub genres such as Classical Baroque Music and Traditional Arabian Music. They are currently working on their second full length album to be released on Sliptrick Records.

Today marks the official release of Winter (on Aural Music/Code666), the gorgeous fifth full-length from atmospheric black metallers Fen. As a precursor to its long-anticipated release, today No Clean Singing is streaming the record in its entirety, issuing of the offering, "While the spine of the music is atmospheric black metal, in its fully fleshed-out form it's very much a prog album, intricate and rich in its textures and elaborate in its ever-changing instrumental variations. The drums will blast, the guitars will swarm, and the vocals will claw at your throat in abrasive snarls and impassioned cries. But the harsh, savage energy in the music is more than counterbalanced by other elements that become kaleidoscopic in the cascade of their sonic colors."
Read more and envelope yourself in Winter courtesy of No Clean Singing where you can also view the band's recently-released video for "II (Penance)" at THIS LOCATION.
The record comes sheathed in the cover art of Fen bassist / vocalist Grungyn and is available in standard CD, double black vinyl limited to 300 copies, and digital formats. Additionally, Fen's Winter is available in a Special Collectors Box limited to 199 copies which includes the standard CD, an additional bonus CD, the 2xLP with Side A/Side B in a smashed splatter effect of transparent aquamarine and opaque cream, an exclusive T-shirt and poster, and a certificate of authenticity signed by the band.
Various Winter pre-orders are available at THIS LOCATION.
Since the their formation in early 2006, Fen's trademark sound of atmospheric black metal which incorporates elements of post-rock, has seen the band rise on the wave of a resurgence within the UK black metal scene. And with Winter, produced by Jaime Gomez Arellano at the Orgone Studios in London (Ulver, Altar Of Plagues, Grave Miasma, Primordial, Solstafir), Fen has produced their most ambitious and yet most fundamental expression to date. In fact, it could be said that Fen has returned to the very beginnings of their ideology to invoke the atmosphere of bleak reflection and ancient sorrow that envelops the Fens, from whence the band originated, and from where they draw their inspiration.
Atmospheric black metallers Fen have announced details of their fifth full-length album, set to see release via Aural Music imprint Code666 on March 10th. Titled Winter, the six-track production
was captured by Jaime Gomez Arellano at the Orgone Studios in London (Ulver, Altar Of Plagues, Grave Miasma, Primordial, Solstafir) and stands among the band's most enticing piece of work yet for the English three-piece; rich in sound, beguilingly delicate, and shrouded in darkness.
Winter's six movements are thematically and compositionally linked flowing into each other seamlessly. Ideally, the whole record is intended to be listened to in one sitting to allow the full journey to be absorbed. Musically, the band have sought to push themselves further than ever before and Fen's trademark use of atmospheric black metal and spacious clean segments have been complimented by shades of '70s progressive rock, shoegaze, and doom metal.
Winter, which comes sheathed in the cover art of Fen bassist / vocalist Grungyn, will be available in standard CD, double black vinyl limited to 300 copies, and digital formats in North America on March 10th followed by a European street date of March 17th. Additionally, Fen's Winter will be available in a Special Collectors Box limited to 199 copies which will include the standard CD, an additional bonus CD, the DLP with Side A / Side B in a smashed splatter effect of transparent aquamarine and opaque cream, an exclusive T-shirt and poster, and a certificate of authenticity signed by the band.
Formed in early 2006 with the goal of producing atmospheric black metal that incorporates elements of post-rock, Fen has, since then, found themselves at the vanguard of a resurgent UK black metal scene. With an EP, four full length albums, several splits, and compilations, two European tours and numerous appearances at prestigious festivals under their belts, Winter serves as the band's most ambitious, and yet most fundamental expression, yet.
It is an album in which, conceptually, Fen has returned to the roots of their ideology, seeking to embrace and distil all that inspired them when they first set out on this path over a decade ago - that is, to invoke the ambience of bleak reflection and ancient sorrow that permeates the mysterious landscapes of the fens of Eastern England.
Frontman The Watcher elaborates, "With Winter, we wanted to 'return to the roots' of the band so to speak but not in the clichéd, nostalgic way many bands do. Instead, we wanted this record to represent the 'essence' of Fen in terms of tone, atmosphere, and above all, concept. This album therefore very much describes a journey towards sanctity and redemption across a landscape steeped in mystery, hints of forgotten darkness, and sorrows long since drowned in the distant past. It represents the culmination of over eighteen months of writing and rehearsing, pushing ourselves harder and harder as musicians - it is a lengthy and self-indulgent record for which we make no apology. Indeed, it is a fitting tribute to mark ten years of the existence of Fen."

Taiga was founded in the Siberian city of Tomsk by Nikolai Seredov from the thrash band "Стахановцы" (Stakhanovtsi) and the funeral doom band "Funeral Tears" along with Andrey Chernov, guitarist of the military / martial industrial metal band "Panzertank". In December 2013, they released their first two songs, "За чертой" and "На битом стекле", which marked the beginning of the project. People suffering from mental disorders caused by public misunderstanding, undivided love and their own weakness are the main influence in Taiga's lyrics. In January 2014, Taiga released their the first EP called "Ты всё ещё дышишь" (You Are Still Breathing), which was immediately followed by another EP in February 2014, entitled "Прах к праху" (Ashen To Ashen).
With great feedback on their EPs, Taiga revealed their debut full length "Ashen Light" during March 2014. The album featured new arranged tracks from the first two EPs and was co-released by labels Satanath Record, Metallic Media and and Le Crépuscule Du Soir Productions. In 2015, they released their second album "Gaia" via labels Symbol Of Domination and Metallic Media. In 2016, band recruited Aleksey "Satanath" Korolyov as their keyboardist / ambient sound maker to add to their mystic atmosphere. Quick Note: Andrei Chernov was not involved in the recording of the new album 'Sky', but is still involved as a member of the band.

Sol Sistere is a Post / Atmospheric Black Metal act from Santiago, Chile formed in early 2013, but all members have gathered their experiences before joining their forces, in acts as Animus Mortis, Bauda and other underground names. So it is a new band, but an experienced force… Their music is a blend of strength, melancholic melodies and emotions, which gathers influences from 90’s classic black metal bands and modern atmospheric innovators in order to create such an atmosphere that will embrace most of black metal enthusiasts. And it is recorded raw enough, but still full of a lot of details!

Poland's Above Aurora will release their menacing debut record Onwards Desolation via Pagan Records on the 27th of May. In anticipation of its arrival, the band are now streaming the first glimpse 'Open the Wounds' on No Clean Singing.
'Open the Wounds' is emblematic of the entire of 'Onwards Desolation'; just as the six tracks drift from atmospheric doom to propulsive black metal, building tension and releasing it in barrages, so too is 'Open the Wounds' a masterclass in tension and release. The ebb and flow of its darkness is hypnotic; it lulls the listener into a state where the band can cast their ominous imagery into the mind. The guitars create a loose, eery mistiness as the rhythm section commands driving counter-melodies and percussion, and amidst the intimidating mass of sound, vocals do not take center-stage, but blend with the darkness around. The presence of this human voice is not to bring comfort from the desolate instrumental; its rough-edged tones instead form the uncanny face of 'Onwards Desolation', just familiar enough for the listener to let its darkness deeper into their heart.
