After the 2013 demo "The Crackling of Embers", Danish atmospheric black metallers SUNKEN are ready to take the world by storm with their debut full-length "Departure", an album where the band showcases once again their potency and songwriting skills, promising to cause an impact and lasting atmosphere.
"Departure" is set to be released on May 26th, 2017 via Triton's Orbit (home of Vinterbris, Akasava and Riti Occulti).
Cover artwork and tracklisting as follows:
The band comments:
"Our debut album has been long underway. 'Departure' shows a more matured, unique and experimental Sunken, with a more honest approach to songwriting, sound and expression. The writing of the album has been a long journey, with new and interesting sources of inspiration and contributions from many different musicians. All of this made the album what it is today. We're finally ready for our Departure."
On Friday 24th March, the official pre-sale for the concert film "Rammstein: Paris" began ahead of its worldwide release on May 19. The film, which will be released in many configurations, sets new standards. In March 2012, during the "Made in Germany" tour, Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund shot two acclaimed Rammstein concerts at the Palais Omnisports arena in Paris in front of 17,000 spectators. Featuring 22 songs from the band’s entire repertoire, the resulting film is not only the most spectacular collection of imagery about the most successful German rock band of our time, but also a masterpiece of music cinema, capturing Rammstein's energy as a unique visual and sonic experience.
Åkerlund is notorious for his radical, pioneering video clips for bands such as The Prodigy, Metallica, the Rolling Stones and also Rammstein. Absurd details, upended perspectives, shocks of contrast and sensory confusion flicker through his music productions, and in "Rammstein: Paris", he celebrates this from the very first minute. Rammstein play 22 songs (128 mins), ranging from "Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?", the first song from the very first album, to "Frühling in Paris" from the last studio album "Liebe ist für alle da".
Artistically and dramaturgically ingeniously staged, like an overwhelming video clip, "Rammstein: Paris" is one of the best rock concert films of all time. “Absolument“

Nighon released a second single "The Dirge" from their upcoming album "The Somme" which is released May 5th 2017 by Inverse Records.
"We have released a new video with a strong message. The song "The Dirge" raises the question: "Why do we have wars?”. They are horrible and the majority of mankind seems to despise it. The song was inspired by the annexation of Crimea, the Vietnam war and the Korean war. Björn: "The lyrics I wrote tells us about the consequences of letting our hate spin out of control, and when governments twist lies into truths to justify war!"
Video is available here: https://youtu.be/yOCVbTngMyQ and the single is also released on all essential digital stores like Spotify, Deezer, iTunes, etc.
Their first single/music video “The Greatest of Catastrophes” is a blend of the outbreak of World War I and the Ukraine crisis. The music video was filmed during the winter 2016 by Kasper Dalkarl, David Viklund and Stephanie Blomqvist. Listen to it on Spotify.

German black metal cult Entartung are streaming the entirety of their highly anticipated third album, Baptised into the Faith of Lust, via EchoesAndDust.com. Released last week via W.T.C. Productions, Baptised into the Faith of Lust is a work of timeless black metal traditionalism given flight by flawless songwriting and emotive execution: THE album where Entartung ascend the throne and rule over all they survey, in a kingdom where the genre's aesthetics have become diluted by modernity (or worse) but one which will be righted by their righteous conviction. Hear Entartung's Baptised into the Faith of Lust in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Entartung was founded in 2011 by Lykormas and Vulfolaic. As veterans of the old-school black metal scene, they set out to make music true to the original vibe of the genre, void of commercialism and modern trends. The duo skipped the usual demo phase and independently wrote and recorded their debut album, Krypteia. Entartung immediately got signed by W.T.C. Productions, who released Krypteia in the spring of 2012 on compact disc.
One year later, Entartung started writing and recording their sophomore album. The internal tensions and conflicts that arose during this process were successfully channelled into violent and aggressive renditions of the actual material. Contrary to the previous album, which exclusively featured German lyrics, Peccata Mortalia predominantly focuses on English as the main language. Peccata Mortalia was again released by World Terror Committee in May 2014, this time on both compact disc and vinyl. Simultaneously, Krypteia also saw a vinyl release.
In late 2014, Entartung was invited to play an exclusive show at the 2015 edition of the Veneration of the Dead festival in the Netherlands. For the purpose of this festival, Entartung recruited skinsman Haistulf and started working on a set consisting of both Krypteia and Peccata Mortalia material.
Continuing as a three-piece, Entartung then recorded their third album, Baptised into the Faith of Lust, throughout the winter of 2015-2016. The new compositions build further upon the style which was established on both Krypteia and Peccata Mortalia and successfully push the boundaries of the genre, focusing on both feel and detail as well as atmosphere and aggression. Lyrically, Baptised into the Faith of Lust explores the more obscure side of history, religious mass delusions, and the writings of Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Selma Lagerlöf, Charles Baudelaire, and Hermann Löns.
Baptised into the Faith of Lust was mixed by Entartung and was subsequently mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony. Once again, the band entrusts World Terror Committee with the release of the third Entartung opus, both on compact disc and vinyl. The album's artwork is a twisted and bizarre take on orthodox iconography, further elucidated by its musical/lyrical contents. Progressive metal band from Dubai are going to blow people's minds with their contemporary and energetic music. 'Terraform' is Kaihon's debut release and it's a multi-layered yet catchy affair spanning four songs. It's impressive to see a Dubai-based band collaborating with musicians from India - the album has guest appearances from SKYHARBOR's Keshav Dhar, who has also produced the album, and even Shashank Bhatnagar of UNDYING INC. It's as good as it gets, topped off with amazing artwork from Visual Amnesia (DEMONIC RESURRECTION, CHAOS). Meticulously concocted and executed, this is a contemporary gem in the style, and taking into account that such music is being crafted from this part of the world, it's no mean feat. Fans of forward-thinking, progressive, even atmospheric metal must check this out.
ROLLING STONE (India) is streaming the album in full over HERE.
