Italian heavy metallers Scala Mercalli have announced their new album, coming out in January 2019.
The album will be entitled “Indipendence” and will be about the first part of Italian Risorgimento, from Naple’s Reign ruled by King Murat until Mazzini’s Roman Republic, including episodes on Mille (The Expedition of the Thousand) and Brigandage, with some of their main characters. The band will wear the new uniform inspired by the units, from north to south, that in the above-mentioned period fought side by side with the people and contributed with hard sacrifices to build Italian nation. More details will be revealed soon!
The band about new album:
“This project is about some events we consider of great importance in our country’s history, because they remind us of how important it has been, for a people dominated for years by foreign powers, to fight for ideals of unity and freedom, and reminds also that freedom, in every form, is never a gift but has always to be conquered fighting together. Yesterday as today!”
This example applies to every people or nation that wants to be truly free!
Joining the ranks at Sliptrick Records this week are Italian Heavy Doomsters Circle Of Witches
Circle Of Witches is a heavy metal band with doom influences formed in Italy in 2004 by the will of Mario Bove (lead voice and guitar). Through the years they featured in hundreds of live shows and festivals, recorded a bunch of demos, two EP’s and three full-length album with the newest going by the title of Natural Born Sinners and scheduled for release via Sliptrick Records in the early months of 2019. The band has been honoured to share the stage with famous artists like Candlemass, Russell Allen (Symphony X), Dark Tranquillity, Decapitated, Melechesh, to name just a few.
In the early days, the band played a raw stoner metal, with strong roots belonging to ‘70s hard and heavy. They had gigs in small clubs and parties, keeping their activity strictly in Italy, always searching for a new stage but showing no real interest in dealing with labels. In 2013 they joined forces with Polish producer Bart Gabriel (Sacred Steel, Crystal Viper, Burning Starr) and sound engineer Mariusz Pietka (Lonewolf, Sabaton, Mortician). They recorded Rock The Evil, a ten tracks album blending heavy metal and stoner, bringing Circle Of Witches closer to Motorhead’s granitic sound and united with the dark riffing of Black Sabbath and the harsh impact of the NWOBHM. A few months later Circle of Witches inked a deal with Metal Tank Records which published the album in February 2014, followed by the promotional tour.
In January 2017 the band hunkered down in Alpha Omega Studios on Lake Como to record the brand new album Natural Born Sinners produced by Alex Azzali and Nicholas Barker (Cradle Of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Testament). This new chapter is focused upon the concept of riot and rebels of the past such as Lucifer, Spartacus, Anton Lavey, Giordano Bruno. The eleven tracks mark the path of heavy metal and doom influences with a sound that brings to mind Judas Priest, Grand Magus and Candlemass.
Circle Of Witches are:
Mario Bove – Vocals/Guitar
Joe Dardano – Guitar
Tony Farabella – Bass/Back Vocals

Мужчины в металле (Men in Metal), a Russian heavy/power metal band from Yekaterinburg presents the new 10-track album “Пусть душа расправит крылья” (“Let the Soul Spread Its Wings”). The album is released November 30th by Finnish Inverse Records.
The band released today a music video for the track 'Настало время'.
Watch it here: https://youtu.be/kz6rtVBogVc
Even thought there are some changes compared to their latest EP “Победа” (“Victory”), the band remains true to heavy metal traditions, thus having found the unique sound which may be defined as “indie power metal”. The modern heavy sound combined with the elements taken from the music of the 70’s characterizes the release - rich vocal harmonies will remind you of such bands as Uriah Heep, Queen or Sweet, and the use of acoustic instruments (particularly, the ukulele) brings a distinctive shade of folk to the music.

Heat Of Damage is a four-piece Metal band from Sacramento, California. Originating in a state that has brought the metal world countless legendary bands, Heat Of Damage’s genesis is rooted in a place incredibly ripe for the development of something new. Bay Area Thrash, with groups like Metallica and Exodus; home-town heroes Deftones and Papa Roach; and an extensive list of other influences all laid the foundation upon which Heat Of Damage continues to build. Dynamics and energy dominate the band’s live performances and not a fraction of these elements is lost in their recorded productions.
From humble beginnings in the suburbs of Sacramento, years of dedication and a drive to constantly refine their craft have brought Heat Of Damage to the forefront of the Northern Californian metal scene. They, just like the genre of metal itself, stay true to their roots while never losing sight of what’s before them: something new. Something special waiting to be realized. Heat Of Damage aspires to take their brand of heavy music to the masses, one metalhead at a time.
The group forthcoming album, Cataclysm, is due for release worldwide via Sliptrick Records in 2019.
Heat Of Damage are:
Julian Bohland – Drums
Jared Easter – Bass/Hardcore Vocals
David Haug – Vocals
Nick Lassalette – Guitar

Sydney's female fronted heavy metal band, Temtris, just released their 5th studio album Rapture through Battlegod Productions. The album is already available in Australia since 1 October. Immediately after the Australian release, Temtris embarked on their Australia and New Zealand tour which is still ongoing with shows in Newcastle, Wollongong, Wellington and Auckland in November, December and January.
Rapture captures the true essence of what Heavy Metal is all about. Genevieve’s vocals are a major highlight and the musicianship is far more advanced then their previous albums. Alpha Omega Management has a huge pleasure to announce the signing of Albanian Crossbones! Later this year the band enters the Alpha Omega Studios in Como, to record their new album, scheduled for the release in early 2019!
Crossbones is the most recognized metal act in Albania and the only band from the mid 90's that still keeps going, today stronger than ever. Their new album “WWIII” is making quite a buzz since its launch in January 13th 2017. The news has spread throughout 3 continents, Europe, USA and Australia in about 100 webzines and portals with great reviews. The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Tommy Talamanca (Sadist) at Nadir Music Studios. “WWIII” combines American thrash metal influences with a dark sound and typical Est European sonorities. The result is an album created with the intention of hit hard the ears of the listener without losing melodic passages and “catchy” riffs, and where the recurring use of both English and Albanian languages marks a new way in the European post-thrash genre. Among countless gigs and performances, Crossbones have played with Rock and Metal giants such as Ian Paice, legendary drummer of Deep Purple and as a direct support act for Greek Black Metal legends of Rotting Christ. Furthermore the band has headlined many concerts and festivals in Italy, Greece, FYROM, Montenegro, Kosovo, toured in Baltics (Estonia and Latvia), Ukraine and headlined Balkan Metal Meeting 4 Tuzla/Bosnia, April 27-28 2018, and more.
Stated the band:
"Joining the Alpha Omega family marks a pivotal moment in our music career and we are beyond excited that it finally happened. Moments like this give meaning to everything we stand for. This crazy journey of ours, with more than two decades of uncompromising passion, persistence and sacrifice, is about to take us to new territories yet to be conquered so we can share with the rest of the world a little bit of our dear Albania and Albanian metal. We are confident that our new family will be a loving one, a good adviser and partner, a guide to the right path, a friend and a helping hand. It’s an honour and privilege to work with some of the best people in the music industry. This means that we have to work even harder and we are looking forward to start this new era, a new page, a new level. We dedicate this achievement to our friends, fans and families for always believing in us and supporting us. Grateful to our new family of Alpha Omega for having us on board. The best is yet to come. Let’s do this."
Alpha Omega Management adds:
"We are extremely pleased to welcome Crossbones to our roster family, our first ever band from Albania! For years, our team has followed the career of these hard-working guys and we've seen their great evolution. Today the band has all the good potential ingredients and attitude to go to the next level more widely, also internationally. Later this year Crossbones will enter our studio, to start recording their next album, and we can guarantee that it will exceed all expectations! Stay tuned!"
