Croatian Heavy / Power metal band Sage inks a worldwide deal with Rockshots Records!
Hailing from Croatia, the rising stars Sage have just signed a worldwide record deal with Rockshots Records for the release of their debut album "Anno Domini 1573" !
The album is about the Peasants’ Revolt, a metaphor of the battle between good and evil, honesty and greed. Sage delivers a mix of heavy, power and progressive metal, even though is hard to define it specifically due to the band’s unique style.
"The band name Sage means both the plant and flower sage and 'a wise old man'", comments Enio Vučeta, guitarist and backup singer of the band, a living legend of the Croatian rock/metal scene, "We wanted to connect this to ourselves in a way because we are composed of several generations of Croatian musicians and we have great ambitions for our music to make a breakthrough in the whole world."
The first single and video of "Treason" is already available on YouTube at the following link:
Spanish power metallers Tales of Gaia have just launched a brand-new video clip with images recorded during their recent release party in their home town Barcelona. The chosen song is the album's title track "Hypernova," and you can watch the video HERE.
Hypernova is a magnificent 12-song opus of the purest power metal in the vein of bands like early Helloween, Rhapsody, Gamma Ray, and Heavenly. It was released last September by Fighter Records. You can watch their previous lyric video "Flamma Ardet" HERE, and listen to the entire album HERE. For more info, consult the links below.
Slovakian Power Metal Group Eufory are back with their new album Higher And Higher and it’s different in almost every aspect when compared to their previous album. From the members’ songwriting capabilities, the technical proficiency, the lyrical thoughts to the resulting sound – all of these things have moved to another level and changed through several gears, providing the greatest amount of pleasure possible to the listeners ears. The only thing that has remained untouched is the urge to push the “Play” button once again, even after repeated spins of the album.
The material was recorded in PureSound Studio in Slovakia and GM Recording Studio in Czech Republic. Higher And Higher got its final touches thanks to the mixing and mastering skills of Roland Grapow (Grapow Studios), who is also known as the former guitarist of Helloween and co-founder of the Masterplan band. His creative ideas greatly contributed to how the final of the album. This is straight ahead, old-school influenced power metal with a modern attitude. Eufory are back with 9 tracks (including a killer Motorhead cover) and a great new sound to get the juices flowing!

American power metallers Sonic Prophecy have posted a new lyric video for their track "Man The Guns" off their third full length "Savage Gods" unleashed via Rockshots Records this past January.
Watch it now at the following link: https://youtu.be/6rwhHOjXzwo
"Savage Gods" follows Sonic Prophecy's 2015 sophomore release "Apocalyptic Promenade" (Maple Metal Records), an album that combined the melody and beauty of symphonic power metal while maintaining the crunch, drive and power of traditional metal plus their 2011 debut "A Divine Act of War", which had its music placed in the television series “Rock n’ Lock”, the video game “Volgarr the Viking” and movie Danny Trejo's “Vengeance”.
This latest album "Savage Gods" lyrically covers many topics, from quests and medieval wars, to mechanized genocide, to the dangers associated with extremist ideologies. Broadening and stretching their musical palate, "Savage Gods" will give fans an adventurous listening experience. It's an album that combines melodic hard rock, driving heavy metal, and chest pounding anthems in a way that is uniquely Sonic Prophecy.
"We think our fans will love this album! Savage Gods, as a record, basically combines all of the things I think people liked about our previous releases and then moves us forward into new areas musically and lyrically. For our fans, there will be no mistaking this is Sonic Prophecy, but we definitely cover some new exciting ground on this record. This is pure heavy metal with driving guitars, thundering drums, and some of what I feel is my best vocal work to date. With songs "Night Terror, "Unholy Blood" and the album title track, we’ve really laid down a brutal sonic backdrop, along with keeping the melody, which is important to our music." - vocalist Shane Provstgaard.

Halcyon Way, an American metal band from Atlanta, GA, has signed a worldwide record deal with Agonia Records. Fresh off a month-long European tour with Angra & Geoff Tate’s Operation: Mindcrime, the band is expected to release a new studio album - successor to Billboard-charting "Conquer" from 2014 - in August.
Halcyon Way is the ultimate example of blue-collar work ethic, self-reliant bootstrapping, and hard work & perseverance in spite of nearly insurmountable odds. This award winning band has released four studio albums worldwide through Nightmare Records/Sony RED, and most recently via Massacre Records, and has performed on 4 continents (and about 20 countries and counting), extensively touring with the likes of Saxon, Sabaton, Queensryche, Fates Warning, Fozzy, Skid Row, U.D.O. and Delain.
Halcyon Way's sound cannot be neatly slotted into any sub-category of metal. It can be described as heavy, catchy, technical, progressive and above all, focused on strong songcraft. The band draws influences & inspiration from many metal bands, from Megadeth to Dream Theater, to Testament and Chimaira. With a magnitude of catchy hooks, vocal harmonies a la King’s X or Stryper, and heavy, technical, yet ultimately accessible instrumentation, Halcyon Way is ready to begin a new chapter with their forthcoming studio album.
"We’re really stoked to be announcing our partnership with Agonia Records" - comments the band. "Their commitment to working our new record alongside us is strong and we can’t wait to open this new chapter in our career. We just got back from a fantastic tour with our friends in Angra and Operation:Mindcrime, and we had the opportunity to test out some of the new songs. The crowds went ape over them so we can't wait to get the new record in everyone's hands so we can get out there and support it some more!".
Halcyon Way's last album, "Conquer" (2014), hit the Billboard Heatseekers Chart at #41 for week of release sales. It was named "Record Of The Week" on the Revolver Magazine website, and the lead single "Web Of Lies" spent more than 6 weeks on the USA CMJ metal radio charts. More news on the follow-up to "Conquer" will be announced soon.

The Symphonic / Power Metal band Kantica are proud to present the first official video clip for the song "And Then There Was Pain", taken from the album Reborn in Aesthetics (released by Revalve records).
MaterDea is one of the most known and recognizable metal bands in Italy coming out of the pagan and Celtic scene. It has been 2 years since their last release, a full length entitled “The Goddess’ Chants” and they are ready to indulge their listeners in a new fascinating and enthralling journey with “Pyaneta”.
Following the direction started with “A Rose for Egeria”, this new record is a further step forward into the melding of metal and Celtic music, in the personal style that MaterDea’s fans will acknowledge and love once more. It is a powerful symphony where all the instruments and the voices join the sounds of nature, painting new grandiose landscapes enriched by colours and sophisticated arrangements. The melodies reveal themselves along with the sumptuous guitar riffs, a powerful rhythmic session and the twist of strings and orchestration, allowing the listener to be carried away in a dimension full of energy, beauty and hope by these magical tales.
The band describes “Pyaneta”:-
“In this new album the stories are inspired by the deep interconnection that exists between every living thing and the largest sentient organism that hosts us, our planet Earth. It is an exhortation to the awareness of the environmental danger, a cry of hope for its future and a message of love for life in its gorgeous wholeness.”
MaterDea goes to great lengths to ensure that their listeners can be thrust away from reality and thrown into a fantastical world full of enchantment and magic and “Pyaneta”, their fifth album promises to do just that. Citing influences such as Genesis, Jethro Tull and Led Zeppelin, the band creates a gentle yet powerful type of metal with various classical overtones. With a desire to create powerful, intense, emotional music that features pantheistic themes the 7 classically trained Italian musicians paint a rich fantasy world for their listeners. To date they have released four full lengths, “Below the Mists, Above the Brambles” (2009), “Satyricon” (2011), “A Rose for Egeria” (2014) and “The Goddess’ Chants” (2016).
“Pyaneta” is set to be released via Rockshots Records in Europe on June 8 and in North America on July 6. There is currently a crowdfund set up for fans who wish to support the album by pre ordering or donating.

The release date of the of the new album „Rise Of The Lycans“ by the German Power/Thrash Metal Band Wolfen on CD is June 22nd, 2018. The pre-order phase will start on June 8th, 2018 in our webshop.
Even in 2018 you can count on the German metal-institution Wolfen! And they've got great news!
The line-up is finally complete again. After both drummer Holger Bloempott and long-time guitarist Björn Grüne left the band for private and family reasons, new band member is now former interim drummer Siegfried Grütz, who's already been causing sensation with Brainfever back in the '80s. The band had another lucky shot with their new second guitarist.
They were able to get Andreas Doetsch to join them, widely known with his solo project as „Andi the wicked“ and from his work in bands like Steelpreacher.
After their „Evilution“ tour in 2014-2016 with more than 50 concerts (including an Europe tour with Grave Digger), it got a little more quiet around the band. Only a few selected gigs were played, due to the training of the new band members. With the new line-up the band's showing themselves in their most mature form, as they prove on their latest album „Rise Of The Lycans“.
This is the sixth album in the band's career and contains all typical Wolfen trademarks and much more. It is way more powerful than it's predecessors, making it an actual Melodic Power metal album with Thrash influences. Furthermore, an utopian concept story stretching over four songs was composed. All songs are full of the characteristic vocals, a very powerful rhythm section and some extraordinary guitar-work, which has always played a huge role in the band's sound. After the quintet gained new uplift through their „comeback album“„Chapter IV“ and its successor „Evilution“, also thanks to the terrific feedback from the online press, continuation seemed to be the only right and logical step! The outcome can be seen as the peak of the band's current creative period and encapsulates all of their facets.
Everything's rounded up with a killer production by Martin Buchwalter from the Gernhart Studios! Even if it may sound worn out: The band sounds as good as never before!!!
Danish Thrash / Power metallers, Manticora, are presenting the cover artwork for their upcoming (8th) album - a stunning picture, painted by the extremely talented Danish painter David Troest (www.facebook.com/david.troest). As the new album "To Kill To Live To Kill" is another Manticora concept double-album, based on the thriller/horror novel that lead singer, Lars F. Larsen has written, the artwork resembles the stories of the novel.
"We have always tried out new cover artwork artists for each album, so when looking for the perfect person to give justice to the novel and the two albums, we wanted someone who'd be able to grasp the essence of the stories within the book, and when looking at David's pictures in general, it's evident for even the feeble-minded that he's that exact guy. He also lives less than an hour away from us, so it was a win-win situation for everyone to be able to meet up and do corrections on the front cover and all the other pictures that'll appear in the booklet. We're already beginning the work for the second album as well, so we can follow the release schedule of having the albums out 12 months apart."
The two concept albums, which are a part of a grandiose concept, based on the thriller/horror novel that lead singer, Lars F. Larsen has written, will be released as two separate albums, one year apart.
The novel itself is scheduled for a May 2018 release, followed by the first album, which will see the light of day on August 3rd, 2018, released by ViciSolum Records, worldwide.
The music was recorded and mixed in Hansen Studios, with World-famous producer, Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Destruction, a.o.) who also produced the first two Manticora albums back in the last millenium, and vocals were recorded with Tommy Hansen at Jailhouse studios (Helloween, Beyond Twilight, Jorn, a.o.). Tommy has previously produced five albums for the band.
Manticora have released 7 critically acclaimed albums, since 1999, and toured numerous times around Europe as well as in the US + played at prestigious festivals, such as Wacken Open Air, Sweden Rock Festival, ProgPower USA, etc.

Lars F. Larsen - vocals
