French death metal legion The Walking Dead Orchestra is the latest addition to Unique Leader Records' expanding roster of brutality. The band will release their self-produced, as-yet-untitled second full-length later this year.
Issues the band:-
"Two years of hard work were necessary for the writing and production process of this record. We decided to propose a more mature, personal, and of course, wilder record than our first album. We went back to our roots with straight, old-school death metal riffs. Our choice to develop our own identity pushed us to record, mix, and master the album ourselves. This is a new chapter in the band's story. We promise many surprises. We are proud to join the Unique Leader family for the release of this record. Run! Epidemic is coming."
The Walking Dead Orchestra was forged in 2011 in Grenoble, France. In 2012, the band unveiled its first EP Oppressive Procession, and performed nearly thirty shows throughout France alongside the likes of Betraying The Martyrs, UltraVomit, Death Mentality, Agnostic Front, Promethee, and many others. That Summer, the band was able to secure a three-week tour of Latin American with Descomunal which included a performance at Ecuador's QuitoFest.
2013 saw the release of their Klonosphere-issued Architects Of Destruction debut. Offering a more professional production quality, the record was recorded and mixed by Mickaël Valesi at Sonovore Studio in France and mastered by Charles J. Wall (Whitechapel, King Conquer, et al) at Sonic Assault Studio in Florida. The nine-tracks comprising Architects Of Destruction reaped critical acclaim among underground critics in the know with Metal Temple writing, "This release is not merely a collection of tracks about the undead, but an account of what one may feel if lost in a zombie epidemic. The band seems well-equipped for an impending armageddon."
The following year, The Walking Dead Orchestra shared stages with Suicide Silence, Six Feet Under, Napalm Death, M:Pire Of Evil, Loudblast, Benighted, and Mumakil before joining Broke Hope and Internal Bleeding on their European tour in 2015.
On Friday 24th March, the official pre-sale for the concert film "Rammstein: Paris" began ahead of its worldwide release on May 19. The film, which will be released in many configurations, sets new standards. In March 2012, during the "Made in Germany" tour, Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund shot two acclaimed Rammstein concerts at the Palais Omnisports arena in Paris in front of 17,000 spectators. Featuring 22 songs from the band’s entire repertoire, the resulting film is not only the most spectacular collection of imagery about the most successful German rock band of our time, but also a masterpiece of music cinema, capturing Rammstein's energy as a unique visual and sonic experience.
Åkerlund is notorious for his radical, pioneering video clips for bands such as The Prodigy, Metallica, the Rolling Stones and also Rammstein. Absurd details, upended perspectives, shocks of contrast and sensory confusion flicker through his music productions, and in "Rammstein: Paris", he celebrates this from the very first minute. Rammstein play 22 songs (128 mins), ranging from "Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?", the first song from the very first album, to "Frühling in Paris" from the last studio album "Liebe ist für alle da".
Artistically and dramaturgically ingeniously staged, like an overwhelming video clip, "Rammstein: Paris" is one of the best rock concert films of all time. “Absolument“

Today, death metal tyrants Ritualization stream the entirety of their highly anticipated debut album, Sacraments to the Sons of the Abyss, at heavily trafficked webzine Transcending Obscurity. Released on February 3rd by Iron Bonehead Productions, stream Ritualization's Sacraments to the Sons of the Abyss exclusively HERE.
Hailing from the now-fertile French death metal underground, Ritualization have been patiently fine-tuning their fiery craft for a decade now. Although diehards are familiar with the band's name, Ritualization strike upon the international scene with Sacraments to the Sons of the Abyss, a 10-track/44-minute firestorm of malicious and iron-fisted DEATH METAL.
Ritualization are the gathering of four individuals who share the same ideas about the way death metal must be played. Manning the six six six wires of hatred, Infamist’s initial purpose was to bring another musical incarnation to the light of darkness. He began to jam with Blastum (warhammers) in late 2005 to early 2006 until Warchangel joined the fold in September 2006 to take care of vocal duties, soon followed by Krig (pulse of the dead + ghouls vomit). Four tracks were recorded in April 2007 in their ritual chamber; this rehearsal tape was meant to spread the name of the band.
In March 2008, Ritualization performed their very first ritual in Colmar, France with fellow death metal maniacs Bloody Sign and Necros. Then the band recorded The Abduction Mass that spring. This tape contained four tracks of brutal and obscure death metal, plus a cover of the mighty Finnish gods Archgoat's "Black Messiah." This demo was unleashed through Blood Harvest's brother label Zombie Ritual Tapes, and it remains sold out to this day.
In 2009, Ritualization focused on gigs and played in Lille (with Terminal War and Disgust), in Lyon (with Proclamation, Blasphemophagher, Vortex of End, and Deadly Sins), and finally Paris (with Vorkreist, Purge, and old comrades Bloody Sign). Meanwhile, the band still worked on new material in order to hit the studio the following year to record material for their upcoming releases.
An alliance was sealed with French black/death cult Temple of Baal to create a split album through Agonia Records. Titled The Vision of Fading Mankind and released in late November 2011, this critically acclaimed split introduced Ritualization to their widest audience yet. Meanwhile, during summer 2011, Set enters the band as second guitarist to increase the audial impact and live aggression, performing his first live rituals at the Surrender to Death gig in Clermont Ferrand and the Ritual for the Dead in Berlin. Then, in 2013, a 7" EP entitled Beyond the Shrine of Shattered Bones is released through Blood Harvest Records.
Now, with Sacraments to the Sons of the Abyss, Ritualization bring forth an unadulterated vision of death metal and a tribute to bestial legions such as Angelcorpse, Incantation, Archgoat, Immolation, Centurian/Nox, Ravager/Hacavitz, Naked Whipper, and many more minions of audial darkness. Channeling obscure death metal onstage and unleashing releases forged in the faithful tradition of what death metal must be - that is Ritualization's purpose. Hear the entire sacrament exclusively HERE, courtesy of Transcending Obscurity webzine, as well as read an in-depth interview with the band.
Wormholedeath are proud to announce that Talvienkeli (Symphonic Progressive Metal from France) have signed a licensing deal with the label for the worldwide release of their debut album "Hybris".
"Signing a contract with WormHoleDeath to produce our first album was seen as a great opportunity. We felt lucky to have this chance to be contacted by such a label, even if we didn't really know what it would mean for Talvienkeli at the very beginning. But now we have sealed our cooperation with the label, we feel even more excited and happy to collaborate with WormHoleDeath. Working hand in hand with the whole team made us evolve on both professional and human scales.
It gave us the feeling of moving forward and achieving something concrete for the band after all this time spent on working on the songs on our own, not knowing if they would be someday appreciated outside the circle of our relatives and friends. On top of that, we got on really well with the people of WormHoleDeath. Communication was always rather easy and in a cheerful atmosphere. Now we can't wait to see the result of the hard work everyone did to produce this album and we are really thrilled about this."
Digital release date : 24th February 2017 (Wormholedeath/The Orchard)
U.S.A : 9th June 2017 (Wormholedeath U.S.A.)
Physical release date : 14th April 2017 (Aural Music Group)
Japan (Wormholedeath Japan/DiskUnion) TBA
