Aftermoon (Modern Metal from Ukraine) are proud to announce the release of the official video for the song "Cold" (watch by clicking), taken from their album "Phase One" (Wormholedeath Records).
The band introduces themselves with:-
"Aftermoon is a modern metal band from Kiev, Ukraine. We started our musical way in 2012. Since the band's formation, Aftermoon has played more than 35 shows in the biggest Ukrainian cities. We explore different genres in our music, such as modern metal, alternative rock and crossover. Symbiosis of different styles: we combine melodic vocals and piano with hard guitar riffs and intense rhythm section, use classical techniques and the variety of modern sound to create a unique mix that exists on the border of various musical genres.
This allows Aftermoon find listeners with different musical preferences, both extreme metal and soft rock fans. Our shows are always different as well as our songs. Aftermoon concert program can be very sensual and calm and can consist our lyrical songs, acoustic versions of Aftermoon`s tracks and even covers-versions of the greatest hits. On the contrary, it can be a heavy-metal show, where clean vocals changes to extreme techniques, gentle piano sound transforms into aggressive and hard synths. However, usually it all comes together into a wild vortex of emotions, music, feelings and drive."

Directed by the legendary Patric Ulleaus, it is everything you have come to expect of an Amaranthe video and much more! Perhaps the most ambitious video from the band so far, it is packed to the brim with action, glitter and glamour - you can try to bring us down, but we'll come around, like a Boomerang!"
In other Amaranthe news, singer Jake E. has confirmed his exit from the band. Below is his statement on the matter.
"After eight years and four albums, I have decided to leave Amaranthe. I am extremely proud of the band and what we've accomplished together.
"Amaranthe have the most AMAZING fans and they have given me so much during the years, which I am extremely grateful for. I want to thank them all for always supporting me during the highs and the lows - without YOU we would be NOTHING. "Thank you for these years and I hope to meet you again soon!"

Belgian modern melodic death metallers Hexa Mera have unleashed a lyric video for the song 'Inhuman', taken from their second full-length album, "Enlightenment", which will be released on March 31st. The song is streaming on Terrorizer via the link below.
The band has the following to say about 'Inhuman': "Inhuman stands for all the messed up things we've done. Ironically, humanity is the most inhuman thing there is. Every single day various channels remind us of a simple truth: violence is everywhere, and violence doesn't sleep. We wanted to write a song to condemn all of this. Writing the lyrics was easy, finding footage of our species’ disbehavior even more so. But selecting the scenes wasn’t. We watched hours of messed up footage. We had to take breaks because it became too much. We were totally overwhelmed. In the end we became immune to the gore, the sick and our own moral barriers. Management stepped in because we were taking it too far. The video didn’t need all the blood and explicit imagery to deliver the message, it had to be clear without going overboard. We didn’t create this one to enjoy, we created it to open your eyes and face humanity’s inhumanity. That’s what this track is about."
The album was recorded at Empyrean Studio, mixed at OceanSide Studio by Ace Zec (Spoil Engine, Diablo Blvd,..) and mastered at Fascination Street Studios By Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Opeth, Soilwork,..).
The artwork of Hexa Mera's follow-up to 2014’s “Human Entropy” was created by Colin Marks from Rain Song Design (Sylosis, Threat Signal, Scar Symmetry,..)
The band has the following to say about "Enlightenment": "The idea to use the age of enlightenment as theme for this album was forged right after we released our debut album ‘Human Entropy’. The world was and still is spinning out of control: Extremists became a larger threat to our civilization, human and animal rights are being violated, political correctness is censoring the truth, media focusing on sales instead of news value, and so much more… the world never was an utopia place, but with the information we got, it seemed to become worse. We felt fear, disappointment, but most of all, we felt anger. Because we felt powerless, the only thing we could do was to speak out, and this is exactly what this album is about."
The official ‘Enlightenment’ release-show will take place on April 1st at the renowned ‘Nijdrop’ venue in Opwijk, Belgium. More information can be found here.

Groove and melody, heaviness and catchiness. These are just a couple of words describing the ‘Modern Metal’ sound of Selfmachine. Like a bearded Michael Jackson driving a monster truck through the hills of Teletubbieland. Selfmachine released their debut album ‘Broadcast Your Identity’ globally through Wormholedeath / Aural music in 2014. The album received many positive reviews and was even awarded ‘Dutch release of the year’ by website ‘Global Metal Apocalypse’. Selfmachine embarked on their first European Tour supporting internationally acclaimed bands The Agonist and Ferium in March 2015. Returning from this tour more eager and determined than ever, they set out to record their sophomore album. ‘Societal Arcade’ will be released in March 2017, again through Wormholedeath Records.
The album was recorded in Langhirano, Italy at Realsound Studios and mixed and mastered by legendary producers Waldemar Sorychta and Dennis Koehne. To promote this album the band will tour Europe in April 2017 (together with Koronal, Fractal Universe, Unprocessed e.a) and record several music videos. Selfmachine has also recently been confirmed for the MetalDays 2017 Festival in Tolmin, Slovenia. The band holds the firm belief that a live-show should be more than just a bunch of guys on a stage, playing music. It should be an experience, something to engage in and something to remember. So put on your dancing shoes and get run down by that funky monstertruck called Selfmachine!
Spanish modern metal act Far'n'Hate has released a new video for the single "Horizons", taken from the new album "Eternal" out now via White Tower Records. Regarding the new video the band says: "We wanted to film the video in a beautiful landscape to have the sensation of freedom and optimism which is the message we wanted to give with this song. We are really happy with the result as it is exactly what we had in our minds".

Amsterdam-based metal band The Charm The Fury have signed a record deal with the world’s biggest heavy metal label Nuclear Blast. As the follow-up to their debut album, A Shade Of My Former Self, the band will release a new album in March 2017 through the established rock and metal independent. Be sure to check out the teaser trailer on the Nuclear Blast YouTube channel!
The Charm The Fury have matured since their debut. With several of Europe's biggest festivals under their belt, they have transformed their sound into a startling slab of ultra-modern but utterly distinctive metal that shrewdly and honestly redefines what The Charm The Fury is all about. Driven by a collective distaste for the state of the world in the 21st century, the band recorded an angry album underpinned by ferocious intelligence and a heartfelt desire to wake people out of their digital stupors.
With more details about the band’s new album to come, the critical moment has arrived: The Charm The Fury are armed, ready and hungry for the next big push. When it explodes in 2017, the smart money is on these diehard noisemakers claiming their rightful place among the new metal elite. They have the songs, the determination and the charisma to make it happen.
