Perth groove metal act Bayview Suspect are ready to shake things up and get some heads banging again with the release of their new EP "Survival Or Ruin" due out September 14th through Rockpit Records. Produced by drummer Luke Specter and guitarist Brody Lawrence, the EP was recorded in Perth at Bayview Studios and Superfreak Studios with engineering and mixing duties handled by Daniel Thabet and Johnny Sohl. All tracks were mixed and mastered at Liquid Studios in Merrick, New York.
"Survival Or Ruin" is a brilliant and natural follow up to their debut EP "To Whom It May Concern" which was released in 2016. Where the band started with a heavy groove that takes influences from bands such as Lamb Of God and Whitechapel, this new release sees the band incorporate more melody and a hint of a more European metal sound that shows progression and a willingness to keep things fresh.
"From hook to breakdown, we’re proud of how Survival or Ruin showcases our evolution and song writing progression", says the band. "This EP is a testament to our need to experiment sonically and allows us to write tunes that’ll stay with you."
The band also recently announced a new member into the fold, Kristian Climo who takes over on guitar duties. The band comments: "Already being friends with Kristian and knowing how well he plays, we knew he would be a solid fit into Bayview."

Brisbane death metal monsters Kaerulean have dropped their new lyric video for 'The Human Conditioned', the first single off their next release, 'The Orwellian Dream'. The clip release also coincides with the opening of pre-orders for their new EP, which began today.
"The Human Conditioned conceptually deals with the MK Ultra Experiments run by the CIA during from the 1950’s to the 1970’s. Various Mind control techniques, forms of torture and psychedelics were performed and used on children, sometimes completely breaking down their psyche and allowing them to be moulded to fit the desired format. This is the beginning of mind-control technology," says vocalist Adrian Pagano of the track.
Check it out below!
The EP, which will be the third record for Kaerulean, is their most ambitious to date, and with the positive responses they have received from their previous releases, this EP is already on track to propel them to the next level in their careers.
"The Orwellian Dream thematically details the four stage development of a totalitarian government, from the beginnings of societal brainwashing to the complete enslavement of humanity for the benefit of a powerful few. The concept for this album was brought about by the literary and conceptual interest we had for George Orwell, particularly his novel 1984. We also drew concepts from other authors including Aldous Huxley, Anthony Burgess and Lois Lowry. There are also real-life inspirations for The Orwellian Dream, such as the CIA MK Ultra Projects during the 1950’s-1970’s and as well as the invasive nature of social media. We recorded and mixed EP again at our own home studio in Brisbane. Brad Boatright of Audioseige took care of our mastering, while Remy from Headsplit Design did our artwork. This is our first release with Truth Inc Records and we are thrilled to be able to finally have you listen!" says Pagano of the EP.
'The Orwellian Dream' is now available for pre-order from via Truth Inc Records or the Kaerulean Bandcamp, but the band will also have some limited pre-order bundles to coincide with their upcoming gig with Archspire and Psycroptic.
The limited bundles will only be available via the band's Bandcamp or at their upcoming shows and will include a choice of the following:

Australian death metallers Eskhaton have released the lyric video for "Culthulunatic," a track taken off the band's newest album Omegalitheos.
Released on June 20, Omegalitheos is an album that expands upon the violent nature of the genre. Each of its 14 tracks emanate dark chaotic energies; worshipping total death and execution. As a band, Eskhaton remains devoted to the legacy of the primeval forces like Possessed and Morbid Angel, moving them to levels which have not ever been reached in such intensity.
Belgian death metal band Carnation have unveiled a lyric video for the song "Hellfire", taken from the upcoming album 'Chapel of Abhorrence'! The new offering is slated for worldwide release on August 17th, 2018, via Season of Mist.
Watch here:- https://youtu.be/UcSv7DlY92Q
Carnation commented on the track:
"Hellfire is the second track of the upcoming Chapel of Abhorrence album. It was the first track that we've written for this album, back in 2015. The song describes one's descent into a personal hell where he is doomed to be tortured for an eternity. The lyric video, made by Scott Rudd, showcases the incredible artwork that Juanjo Castellano created for us. The design contains visual references to the lyrics of several songs on the album."
Carnation have previously unveiled the cover art of 'Chapel of Abhorrence', which can be viewed together with the album details above.
Embrace the new death metal overlords with their death metal offering, 'Chapel of Abhorrence'!
Carnation equals blistering death metal madness from Belgium. Early 2013, guitar player Jonathan Verstrepen created the band to show his appreciation for the old school death metal legends from the ‘80s & early ‘90s. Vocalist Simon Duson, bass player Yarne Heylen, guitar player Bert Vervoort, and drummer Vincent Verstrepen were summoned to complete the band, and it didn’t take long until the chemistry between this quintet to hit critical mass.
2015 marks the year that the first offering entitled 'Cemetery of the Insane' was released upon the masses. Tracks such as "Explosive Cadavers" or "The Rituals of Flesh" take you back in time to the better days of shredding riffs, neck-breaking drums, and skull-crushing guttural vocals.
The live rituals that followed were executed with stone cold merciless aggression. Carnation delivered their bloodbath at select festivals across Europe during 2015 and 2016. Their next journey led them to distant Asia for their first tour across mainland Japan. This resulted in the infamous 'Live at Asakusa Deathfest' recording (2017). These releases, combined with their reputation as a notoriously impressive live act, drew the attention of fans worldwide and provided Carnation with the opportunity to perform at several European festivals and saw the band touring alongside Pestilence during their special Brazilian tour in April 2018.
With 'Chapel of Abhorrence', Carnation welcome you to death’s domain and invite you to witness them rise to their throne!

Rock Of Angels Records. The lyric video was made by Mitsos Tsou at Brutus Studios. The video can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/-jh4Tk3NQhk
Null’o’zero, have recently released a music video for ‘The Last One‘: https://youtu.be/Ihmf6klJRr8
‘Instructions To Dominate‘ is the 2nd Official album by Null’o’zero, an album that was written in a very difficult period for the band. This is the reason why the album is so aggressive and driven by emotion – anger, grief, pain, frustration – but it also gives hope to take courage to stand with our heads held high.
It’s a natural evolution of the first album ‘The Enemy Within‘, preserving the band’s unique character. Solid rhythm section, diverse riffs, outrageous solos and imposing vocals blend to an intriguing balance between melody and aggression.
The album can pre-ordered here: http://bit.ly/null-ITD-mm / http://bit.ly/null-ITD-roar / http://bit.ly/null-ITD-amzn
The album was engineerd, produced by Null’o’zero & Thimios Krikos (InnerWish, ex-Deviner), mixed by Thimios Krikos (InnerWish, ex-Deviner) & Nikos Iosifidis, engineerd by Fotis Benardo (SixforNine, ex-Septic Flesh), additional engineering by Nikos ‘HULK’ Iosifidis & Akis Pastras and mastered by Peter In de Betou at Tailor Made Production Sweden (Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquillity, Dimmu Borgir, Dream Evil, Firewind, Havok). The album artwork was made by Giannis Nakos – Remedy Art Design.
Guest Appearances by Thimios Krikos (Last Solo ‘Until the end of life’) and George Georgiou (Piano ‘Until the end of life’).
Null’o’zero was formed in 2012 in Athens/Greece. The general idea was to play contemporary aggressive music but also with technical and melodical riffs, main influences are Megadeth, Death, Symphony X, Metallica, etc.

In Thrash We Trust could be the mantra of modern thrashers TYMO, a band whose attitude lives up the title of their second and current full-length album. Entitled "Purge & Reset", founding guitarist Tim Tymo explains the origin of a title that is more than words; it is a statement of metallic intent!
“Let’s just say we have a creator or superior being. If this being gave us everything we needed to flourish humanely and returned to see all the wars and corruption…this being would want to wipe the slate clean and start over. Hence…PURGE AND RESET!”
Formed in Edmonton in 2015, TYMO released their debut album ‘The Lone Wolf” in March of the same year followed by their most recent full length "Purge & Reset" unleashed during August of last year.
Inspired by Municipal Waste, Megadeth, Slayer, Bonded by Blood, and Metallica, TYMO's sound is angry, loud, and explosive thrash, which is evident in their new lyric video "Evolved From You" premiered on PureGrainAudio.com.
Vocalist and guitarist Tim Tymo explains the track:
"'Evolved From You' is about the anger you feel after someone betrays you and everything you have to say about them in that moment in time."
