Shadowpath was formed in 2005 from an initial concept for a rock band called Spellbound. The Shadowpath line-up was put together quickly and what followed, was a lot of fun, heavy work and creative intensity. The first 10 songs were written, arranged and recorded as a demo Into The Shadows. While constantly creating fresh and innovative music, the band then worked with a variety of inspiring musicians, in particular Dominique (now Deadline X), who not only recorded a couple of amazing tracks during that period, but also played several concerts with Shadowpath (eg. with Lunatica). The band then recorded a second demo EP, Dissipating Flows, which included a collaboration with international guest artists such as Chilean guitarist Pierre.
Shadowpath went on a small concept tour through different Swiss locations (with Deep Sun, Mind Patrol, Under My Skin, etc.), after which a major project arose as the band decided to finally record their debut studio album, Rumours Of A Coming Dawn. It was recorded with Gisselle (ex-Confess) and mixed at SOS Basement Rec. and mastered at Echochamber in Zurich. The album received an independent online release in 2017 and gained incredibly positive feedback from various reviewers comparing the groups music to bands like Opeth and Nightwish.
Singer Simone Christinat (Ex-Felony, Ex-Elis, Ex-Legenda Aurea) has now joined Shadowpath for live shows and to work on the bands second album, which is going to be another incomparable, intriguing piece of woven acoustic dreams. Shadowpath create a melodically sweet, melancholy, gloomy, yet uncompromisingly brutal world, always accompanied by subtle, intense lyrics full of emotions. Their soundscape, as it has since the very early days, includes all the different influences from symphonic, progressive, gothic, death and power metal – or as one reviewer once put it: “An open-minded sound and a healthy disregard for traditional genre limitations”!
Sliptrick Records will be re-releasing Rumours Of A Coming Dawn worldwide on CD and the usual digital platforms soon!

Joining the ranks at Sliptrick Records this week is the South Korean Dark Symphonic / Black Metal group Dark Mirror Ov Tragedy.
“Naturalness within unnaturalness, or the gathering between sorrow and ecstasy”
From various forms of musical expression, the Dark Mirror Ov Tragedy themes use spontaneous minor key melodies which deeply infect the listener’s sensitivity. Coming from the existing local music standards, their breaking and mixing of musical styles is not easily categorized. The group have an inclination toward experimental and progressiveness which further incite and stimulate the listener’s mind. All coming from their strong creative base. Dark Mirror Ov Tragedy, with their flashing musical sensibilities and outstanding song-writing pay close attention to their evolving course.
The band name Dark Mirror Ov Tragedy is taken from the Middle-age prophet Nostradamus, who saw the through his mirror, a dark and cursed future. Like their name, the music is the combination of small pieces of echoing memories from their own life experiences carved together by going back and forth from the dark to the light. They conjure these sources with basic instruments such as guitar, bass, drums and keyboard with a natural combination of minor keys which fully express their eastern sentiments.
Classical gothic music is the outstanding essence of Dark Mirror Ov Tragedy, with anguished vocals and brooding instruments performing chapters and poems which evoke nothingness and wholeness, darkness and daylight, beauty and ugliness!

Material Pneuma – Vocals
Gash – Guitars
Senyt – Guitars

The North West, UK-based blackened death metal sextet Hecate Enthroned – whose 'brutal epic scornful metal' has earned extensive acclaim over the past two decades – have signed a worldwide recording contract with the American label M-Theory Audio. The group plans to release a new album – their sixth full-length, and first in five years – in January. More information about the recording will be revealed in the coming months.
Originally co-founded in Wales by guitarist Nigel Dennan in the mid-1990s, Hecate Enthroned is dedicated to delivering their own brand of evil metal with little regard to politics or the trends of popular demand. The group's 1997 debut full-length, the Andy Sneap-produced “The Slaughter Of Innocence, A Requiem For The Mighty” (Blackend Records), was a seminal release in the then-burgeoning orchestral black metal movement. Since then, several full-lengths and EPs and numerous live performances have firmly established the band as one of extreme metal's most important voices, a sentiment that the group's forthcoming album will surely reinforce.
"It is with a great amount of pride that we announce this deal with M-Theory Audio,” says longtime bassist Dylan Hughes. “We feel M-Theory is the right label to take the band on to where we want to be, and we have total confidence in them to handle the new album as it deserves to be. Marco' s reputation and character is second to none, and we look forward to working and developing together. Along with Extreme Management Group, we have a great team behind us and can honestly say that this marks a new era for Hecate Enthroned. We would like to thank all our fans for their patience during these months of uncertainty around the new album but be assured – the wait will be worth it."
Hecate Enthroned will next perform live at the MetalDays festival in Slovenia on July 23 alongside the likes of Behemoth, Skeletonwitch and Carpathian Forest. The group has also announced a September 15 headlining show at London's Black Heart. Advance tickets are on sale now for just £8. Additional tour dates will be announced in the near future.
HECATE ENTHRONED live:
July 23 MetalDays Festival – Tolmin, Slovenia
Sept. 15 Black Heart – London, United Kingdom
Symphonic metal band Vinide released a new music video for the track 'Another Dimension'. The track is taken from their third full length album 'Reveal' which was released earlier this year via Inverse Records. Music video was shot live at Pykälä cabins on their home city Kuhmo.
Watch music video here: https://youtu.be/dFckmAtDZV0
Vocalist/guitarist Elmeri Kinnunen comments:
"The original idea for the weekend in Pykälä was to just go there rehearse and go to sauna. Then we thought it could be fun if we bring some cameras with us. We'll definitely do that again. Hopefully, everyone can sense the joy and the happiness from our faces. After all, this was a completely another dimension for us! "
The Symphonic metal band Serenade has released the lyric video for the song "Kill Your Pain" (incl. special guest - Fabio Dessi (Arthemis))
The song was taken from the last album Onirica, released by Revalve Records and available on CD/DIGITAL:

Kliodna is a 5 member melodic-symphonic metal band from Minsk, Belarus.
Like most bands, Kliodna has made some line-up changes, notably the departure of lead singer Helena Wild in the summer of 2016 due to health concerns. But she was quickly replaced by the outstanding operatic soloist Natalia Senko who has helped the band carry on with a smooth transition! Kliodna has ranked number 1 on Reverbnation’s Metal Charts for their country of Belarus for many months now! Kliodna signed a distribution contract with the label WormHoleDeath Records and have released their debut album called: “The Dark Side of the Stories“ with them along with their latest single: "Fly Far Away" in September 2017. Kliodna are going to perform at various Metal Fests during the summer of 2018 and are also in the process of recording their second album, hopefully to be released in 2019 !

American Symphonic Gothic Metallers Beyond Forgiveness sign with Sliptrick Records.
Beyond Forgiveness is a Symphonic Metal band from Colorado Springs, US. Reformed in 2014, the group is on a focused quest to embody the full meaning of the label “symphonic”, through the composition of lush classical orchestras, choirs, and operatic vocals colliding with heavy and aggressive metal.

The band released its debut EP, The Ferryman’s Shore, in February 2016. Right on the heels of the EP, the band performed a short tour in Europe as well as in the Colorado area an the band’s full length album, The Great Wall followed, with a release in the fall of 2017 and another music video for the song, Sanctuary.
In the spring of 2018, the band added bassist Jim Lasselle to the line-up, and Beyond Forgiveness is currently composing their second full-length album for an expected worldwide release in the spring of 2019 via Sliptrick Records.
