Canada's Inverted Serenity premiere "Mechanical Gods" via Toilet Ov Hell; pre-order 'As Spectres Wither' now.
Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Progressive Death Metal / Technical Death Metal outfit Inverted Serenity recently announced their upcoming third full-length, As Spectres Wither. Today the band partnered with Toilet Ov Hell to unleash the albums first single, "Mechanical Gods". The song showcases the band's ability to blend crushing technical death metal with progressive death elements and sublime clean singing led passages.
You can check out "Mechanical Gods" HERE
Toilet Ov Hell had this to say about today's song premiere:
"That principle of “eclectic but cohesive” applies to the songs on an individual level as well, delivering no shortage of surprises and subverting expectations. “Mechanical Gods” opens up with a mid-tempo start-stop riff that sounds like it’s building towards djenty chugs, but it quickly fades into a bass-driven clean section with surprisingly powerful singing. As the distortion kicks back in, the drums get progressively heavier, leading into a jaunty groove and mind-bending tapped dual leads."
"It’s a hell of a ride that gives a tantalizing look at what the rest of the album has to offer."
Pre-orders for As Spectres Wither are now live
Accomplished California-based technical death metal outfit Inanimate Existence are getting close to the official release of their fourth album, Underneath a Melting Sky. Today the band partnered with The New Fury to premiere "Formula of Spores", the album closer and the third early single from the album to be released thus far.
The New Fury had this to say about today's premiere:
"...hype is definitely building for what might just be the band’s most accomplished work to date. We’re also excited to be premiering a new track from the upcoming album, “Formula of Spores”. One of the most interesting and even experimental tracks on the new album, it also features some absolutely plastering drumming – honestly, it doesn’t even sound human at times."

Polish metal extremists Decapitated have revealed details of their upcoming seventh album "Anticult", out July 7 via Nuclear Blast. The band has also dropped the new song "Never,": https://youtu.be/Dzsnunj-5gg which is available as an instant grat track for all fans who pre-order the album. Anticult is available for pre-order here:
Limited Silver & Clear Vinyl (inc signed insert) - http://nblast.de/DecapAnticultNB
Limited Digipack CD & Vinyl (inc signed insert) - http://nblast.de/DecapAnticultRS
Anticult highlights just how vital Decapitated have remained two decades deep into their career. Decapitated have long been undeniable masters of their craft and they are expanding their parameters with Anticult, which should elevate the band's profile beyond the death metal realm in which it has dominated for years.
"Anticult represents the legacy and future of Decapitated," said guitarist Vogg. "We're extremely proud of the record, in both the song compositions and the production. This is the best representation of our music and we're really excited for the world to hear it!"
The album's massive musical leap forward is evidenced by "Never." It's a song with an incredible bite and retains Decapitated's signature fury. But it's also undeniably catchy and takes up residence in your brain and stays there.
"'Never,' the first track we are showcasing from the record, is fast, it's technical, and most importantly, it's heavy," Vogg commented. "For us, it's what Decapitated is all about… and it will be really fun to play live. Enjoy it!"
Vocalist Rasta weighed in about the subject matter of "Never," offering this insight into the lyrical content: "There is no mystical, doomish fate waiting for us. The only judgement pending is our own. The simple relationship between cause and effect is what determines our future. We are now witnessing something that should never have happened — our homes have become our civilisation's grave."
The band will announce U.S. tour plans shortly.
Réunionese (Réunion Island) Technical Death Metallers Aeon Patronist have announced details on their forthcoming EP and have released this statement:-
"The time has come to lift the veil off of our upcoming EP. This new offering, entitled "Mortal Prosternation", will contain 3 pieces of devastating Black / Death mMtal and be sublimed with this amazing artwork realized by Camille Murgue." (seen below)
The EP follows the band's debut album "Through The Paths Of Delusion" which was released back in 2014 via an Independent release, limited to 300 copies. They are now signed to French label Great Dane Records.

Samskaras was founded by Montreal-based musician Eric Burnet (Derelict, Unburnt) who is joined by drummer Alexandre Dupras, known for his work with Teramobil and Unhuman. Their music is built on the melodically dense and technically aggressive style made popular by fellow Québécois artists such as Gorguts, Neuraxis, Quo Vadis, and Cryptopsy. Inspiration is drawn from other far-flung corners of the extreme music spectrum as well, with bands such as Wood Of Ypres, The Faceless, Nile, and Enslaved casting shadows on the compositions.
Samskaras was launched in 2014 with the release of the singles "Red Hill" and "Consecrate". Now in 2017, the band has returned with Asunder, a four-song EP produced at The Grid with Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy). “We challenged ourselves a lot on these songs,” explains Burnet. “We took chances and tried some things we had never done before.”
“Solar” is the first single from Asunder, the new EP from the Montreal duo Samskaras, due out on January 20th, 2017. You can check out "Solar" through YouTube HERE

Turkish technical death metal assassins CARNOPHAGE will release their sophomore full-length via Unique Leader Records this Fall. Titled Monument, the nine track punisher was recorded by Unsal Ozata at Studio Deep (Burial Invocation, Cenotaph, Decaying Purity, Inhuman Depravity etc.), mixed and mastered by Sasha Borovykh at TsunTsun Productions (Cerebral Effusion, Soils Of Fate, Epicardiectomy, Fleshbomb etc.), and comes adorned in the tormented, Baroque-era influenced cover art of Cihan Engin. Boasting an inexorable assault of jackhammering blasts, churning riffs, and inhuman death grunts, Monument is true exercise in controlled chaos and, following an eight-year dormancy, finds the band at the peak of their methodical and unapologetically diabolical ingenuity.
Monument will be released September 23rd, 2016 via Unique Leader Records. In the meantime check out "At The Backside Of Our Civilization" at THIS LOCATION.
New York City-based technical metal duo, Bangladeafy, has just issued the first single from their impending Narcopaloma EP, with a premiere of the churning "Termites," delivered exclusively through Metal Injection.
Narcopaloma crams seven new tunes into a white-knuckled fifteen-minute ride through Weirdo City, delivering Bangladeafy's manic, tech-mangled, bass and drum-driven attack with even more brain-warping arrangements than before. Progressive fusion meets cyber annihilation in brutalizing grooves that take the listener by the throat and drag one through a psychotic 8-bit video game holocaust.
The first single from Narcopaloma comes writhing forth through an exclusive debut at Metal Injection, the write-up stating of the track, "'Termites' bends and twists endlessly though cluttered hallways of riffs and insane passages that just might make you pause the track to get off your ass and practice. Seriously, this sounds like four dudes trying to keep up with one another... not two dudes crushing it. Observe!"
Choke on Bangladeafy's "Termites" RIGHT HERE.
Narcopaloma will see release on CD and digital formats through the band's cohorts at Nefarious Industries on August 26th; preorders will be made available in the coming days. Bangladeafy has booked a Brooklyn record release show on August 25th, with many other live announcements to be expected.
Bangladeafy CD Release Show:
8/25/2016 Sunnyvale - Brooklyn, NY w/ Husbandry, Spotlights, Geometers
The origin of the Bangladeafy moniker fuses the Bangladeshi descent of drummer Atif Haq with the physical hearing impairment of bassist/pianist/vocalist Jon Ehlers, as he along with two sisters were been born with sensorineural hearing-loss. The duo interlopes endless runs and rhythms with intense time changes and otherworldly texture with utter seamlessness. Closing a three-year gap since The Briefcase EP left jaws swinging, the duo slams back onto the grid with Narcopaloma. The record is drenched in the synth elements that have permeated the outfit's prior works, including segues bridging each track, and while Bangladeafy songs are largely instrumental already, Narcopaloma is virtually void of any vocals. Narcopaloma was engineered and mixed by Jonathan Vergara at Pancake Studios, with Atif Haq's drums having been recorded by Mike Gatto, and all bass, samplers, and keys tracked by the band's Jon Ehlers.
Bangladeafy is also already currently immersed in the writing process for their next release. Steady updates are to be expected throughout the year.
