Today, Hells Headbangers announces the signing of Spain's Krossfyre. The first fruit of this union shall be the band's six-song debut EP, Burning Torches, whose cover art and tracklisting are further below.
Krossfyre formed only last year, but set to work on writing and recording Burning Torches, completing the six-song/20-minute EP last September at Moontower Studios. Although an otherwise brand-new name, Krossfyre include among their ranks members who do or have done time in such bands as Sheidim, Spain's Graveyard, Körgull the Exterminator, Insulters, Morbid Flesh, and Suspiral.
References to be made include classic Nifelheim and Vomitor, but also early Tribulation, later Desaster, Gospel of the Horns, Bestial Mockery, and Nocturnal Graves among others. But the sheer charisma and cantankerous esprit Krossfyre exude - not to mention infectious, gloriously METAL songwriting - puts the band squarely amongst those hallowed ranks. Early days still, to be sure, but on evidence of the forthcoming Burning Torches, the name Krossfyre will soon be upon the tongues of diehards worldwide soon enough.
A statement from the band reads: "Playing blackened heavy/thrash evil music, Hells Headbangers was our very first choice for obvious reasons. It is the home of Hobbs' Angel of Death, Vomitor, and Blood Feast just to name a few of an endless list. No other label can presume to have such a strong, high profile and respected roster, especially these days where labels need to adapt to new trends or disappear. We put all our energy and effort into Burning Torches, and we're sure that Hells Headbangers will know how to push it the way it deserves!"
Excalibur, the legendary Spanish heavy metal band formed back in 1984, have just signed a deal with Fighter Records for the release of their third album, titled Humo Negro ("Black Smoke"), coming later this spring.
After a couple of demos in '84 and '87, Excalibur released their debut album in '88 under the title of Generación Maldita ("Damned Generation"), which has the honour of being the heavy metal record with the highest selling price in Spain - no more and no less than 1600 Euros! Bad luck followed this record: only 100 copies were saved from destruction, which means it's one of the most sought-after treasures of Spanish heavy metal/rock.
In 1996, Excalibur recorded their second album, Cero, which was never commercialized, remaining unreleased still today. In 2013, the band returned with a new EP, Más Duros ("Harder"). Now in 2017, Excalibur has finished what will be their third full-length album, Humo Negro, where they represent the purest and most traditional Spanish heavy metal/hard rock, and will be released, promoted, and distributed both nationally and internationally by Fighter Records, the new division of Xtreem Music devoted to traditional metal sounds.
Soon, Fighter Records will reveal more details about Humo Negro, as well as its release date. In the meantime, visit Excalibur's official Facebook page HERE, and listen to a song from that mythic debut album from '84, Generación Maldita, HERE.
Season of Mist are proud to announce the signing of Altarage. The Basque death metal extremists will release its sophomore album on Season of Mist in 2017.
Regarding their signing, Altarage comment: "We are glad that Season Of Mist have joined us on our journey through the nothingness, chanting hymns of failure, and celebrating decay towards our inevitable end. The year 2017 will see a new nihilistic offering. The end is upon us."
In their own words, Altarage were spawned in a nihilistic cauldron of contempt to reach out the nothingness of all planes of existence. Little is known of the secretive death metal band from Bilbao, the largest city in the Basque country of Spain. In 2015 a demo simply entitled after its year of release, 'MMXV' generated interest around the globe and was followed by the critically acclaimed 'NIHL' (2016).

Wormholedeath are proud to announce that Talvienkeli (Symphonic Progressive Metal from France) have signed a licensing deal with the label for the worldwide release of their debut album "Hybris".
"Signing a contract with WormHoleDeath to produce our first album was seen as a great opportunity. We felt lucky to have this chance to be contacted by such a label, even if we didn't really know what it would mean for Talvienkeli at the very beginning. But now we have sealed our cooperation with the label, we feel even more excited and happy to collaborate with WormHoleDeath. Working hand in hand with the whole team made us evolve on both professional and human scales.
It gave us the feeling of moving forward and achieving something concrete for the band after all this time spent on working on the songs on our own, not knowing if they would be someday appreciated outside the circle of our relatives and friends. On top of that, we got on really well with the people of WormHoleDeath. Communication was always rather easy and in a cheerful atmosphere. Now we can't wait to see the result of the hard work everyone did to produce this album and we are really thrilled about this."
Digital release date : 24th February 2017 (Wormholedeath/The Orchard)
U.S.A : 9th June 2017 (Wormholedeath U.S.A.)
Physical release date : 14th April 2017 (Aural Music Group)
Japan (Wormholedeath Japan/DiskUnion) TBA

The UK metal scene is filled with a lot of talented bands, and we are so very lucky to add Repulsive Vision to the growing Mighty Music family!
Matt Davidson: "Repulsive Vision are beyond thrilled to be working with Mighty Music and proud to be a part of their roster. Their support and understanding so far has been an amazing help to us and we are eager to bring our plans to fruition with this union".
“Look Past the Gore and See The Art” A mantra that embodies the very soul of UK Death metal band, Repulsive Vision. The battle cry of anti censorship and open mindedness that influences the very meaning of the band itself.
Heavily inspired by video nasties and their controversial history, this vicious four piece is a relentless assault of punk fueled old school death metal in the vein of Obituary, Carcass, Napalm Death and Entombed.
Formed in 2010, Repulsive Vision has evolved over the years, eventually maintaining a strong current line-up consisting of Dan McEwan (Vocals), Mark Kirby (Bass), Gary Young (Drums) and Matt Davidson (Guitars).
Recorded in the depths of Newcastle at First Avenue Studios and mixed/mastered by Dean Thompson, “Look Past the Gore and See the Art” is a work built on frustration and old school inspirations to bring an honest and unstoppable piece of grinding death metal.
The long awaited debut album “Look Past The Gore and See The Art” shall be released in stores and on all digital platforms from the 31st of March 2017.
