Veteran Industrialists Static-X return with original band line-up; announce new album and world tour
Static-X is back! Featuring the band's original line-up introduced on their 1999 platinum-selling debut full-length album, Wisconsin Death Trip, bassist Tony Campos, guitarist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay have joined forces once again to release a new album, Project Regeneration. The album, set for release in spring 2019, will be released in conjunction with a world tour to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip. The band plans to perform the majority of their debut album at each show. Headline dates will serve as memorial events to honour late frontman Wayne Static, who passed away on November 1, 2014. More information on the world tour and other dates will be coming soon.
The band has cultivated a treasure chest of vocal performances and musical compositions left behind by Wayne. Along with the help of Static-X 's long-time producer Ulrich Wild, the band is in the process of completing their seventh studio album, which will feature between 12 and 15 brand new Static-X tracks.
"With the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip quickly approaching, it feels like the right time to pay our respects to the band, to Wayne, and to all the fans who have been with us right from the start. We had a lot of material to work with... several demos that Wayne left behind, as well as some really great isolated vocal performances from some nearly finished songs. Together, we have been writing and crafting something very special!" says bassist Tony Campos
Check out a new teaser featuring clips from a brand new music video, as well as five new Static-X tracks - "Road To Hell", "Something Of My Own", "Terminator Oscillator", "Hollow" and "Disco Otsego" - along with a personal message from bassist Tony Campos about the inspiration behind Project Regeneration now at www.static-x.org.
For the unfinished tracks, the band is inviting several of their friends to lend their voices for the completion of this very personal project.
"We have confirmed interest from our friends David Draiman, Ivan Moody, Al Jorgensen, Dez Fafara, Edsel Dope, Burton C Bell, and a few others," says Campos. "Unfortunately, due to everyone's crazy schedules, it is a little early to know how things will shake out. We are more than confident that the album will have some incredible guest vocalists, but it should be noted that it is still too early to count anyone in 100%."
The guest vocalist curation process is being led by none other than SiriusXM programming pioneer Jose Mangin, who is working alongside the band as one of the executive producers for Project Regeneration.
Static-X has created a pre-order campaign allowing fans who purchase Project Regeneration in advance to have their name appear in the liner notes of the new album. Additional special pre-order package options are also available, including Project Regeneration merch bundles and several old school Static-X merch items to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip. Pre-orders are available via www.static-x.org.
"This is a celebration of Static-X Wisconsin Death Trip, Wayne Static, and all of our fans," adds Campos. "We are very excited about what we have created, so we wanted to involve the fans early, and in a campaign sort of way, so that they can participate with us and help to dictate some of the things that we do."
"Reuniting with the guys has been an amazing experience," says drummer Ken Jay. "It's been so much fun sharing stories and working on new music together. Obviously, it is bittersweet because we all miss Wayne and we wish that he was here with us, doing what he did best... Evil Disco..."
"I am so excited to play Static-X songs live again," says guitarist Koichi Fukuda. "The Static-X sound is so big and powerful live! I can't wait to play songs like "Bled For Days", "Push It" and "I'm With Stupid" again."
Static-X plans to do multiple video updates and a series of Facebook Live chats over the next few months in order to keep the fans involved as the process continues to unfold.
"We feel very grateful that we have such a loyal fan base that misses the band, and misses Wayne, and I know that Wayne would appreciate all the heart and effort that we are putting into this," says Tony Campos. "I've had some very heartfelt discussions with Wayne's family about doing this. They were very touched by the amount of love and effort that we have put into this new album and they have given us their full support. Having the blessing of Wayne's family means the world to us! I know in my heart that Wayne would be very proud!
Stay tuned for more Project Regeneration and world tour details coming soon!

Having remained silent on the subject for a year now, Danish Black Metallers Blodarv are ready to announce their new drummer with the arrival of Galheim (Denial Of God, Ad Noctum, Exmortem, Livjatan) on a full time basis.
Commenting on the new addition to the band, founder and frontman Hugin had this to say:
"Not only do we consider Galheim to be the best Danish drummer that ever walked this earth, but also, and even more importantly, we consider him to be the only real match for Blodarv, not just from a musical perspective, but also when it comes to the ideology, visions, and essence of the band. So much so, in fact, that we actually neither looked anywhere else, nor accepted any applications from anyone to take over the drummer's vacancy. Everyone in the band was in agreement that we didn't just want a great drummer, we wanted one who was hewn from the same rock as Blodarv, and Galheim was that person.
"He has his roots firmly planted in the Danish Black Metal scene of the 90’s and is someone we can connect and sync with, both musically and on a personal level, because he shares and understands the passion and dedication that goes into a life's work such as Blodarv. Not only do we want to keep the flame burning, we want to add fuel to the fire, elevate the band, and sharpen the knife that is Blodarv".
More information about Blodarv can be found on the band's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/blodarvofficial and on their website at www.blodarv.net

Demonic Resurrection has announced a line-up change which sees the departure of their lead guitarist Nishith Hegde, who has been promptly replaced by Vignesh V.
Nishith had this to say about it:-
"No matter how much we want things to be the same, life is all about change. Sometimes it’s for the better and sometimes it’s not. I have had a glorious 5 years with Demonic Resurrection and it will always remain very close to me, the journey I was a part of. But priorities change and you have to do what you have to do. I wish my friends in DR all the very best for all their future endeavours and hope they reach greater heights. As for me, my journey with them ends here!"
"It's been a pleasure having Nishith be a part of this band and we're definitely going to miss having him around. His contribution has been invaluable and you can hear his musical genius on the recordings of Dashavatar. They are part of the history of DR now.
Line-up changes seem to be the only constant in DR but it's something I've come to terms with, it's always hard but everyone has to follow their own path and DR is a stepping stone in that journey. We will carry on as always and for now Vignesh V. (Albatross) is going to be filling in as lead guitarist on all upcoming India tours. We are looking and auditioning lead guitar players but we still haven't found a full time replacement for Ashwin (who quit last year) so technically we're still looking for a full time bass player as well. Vignesh has filled in for Nishith last year for a couple of shows so we're quite comfortable with this line-up for now. Onward and upward."
Demonic Resurrection released another official video of a song from their last album 'Dashavatar' via the band's official channel AT THIS LINK. The band will be touring UK shortly where they have confirmed festival appearances.
The second festival appearance is at Eradication Festival 2018 where the leading band will be playing alongside bands such as Extreme Noise Terror, Hecate Enthroned, Wombbath, Warlord UK and others. RSVP HERE.
The band also released a brand new video of their song Krishna - The Cowherd AT THIS LINK.

March 24 - St.Petersburg, RU - Club Zal w/ Moonspell

June 2 - Athens, GR - Gagarin 205 w/ Cradle of Filth
W.E.B. is a Dark / Black / Death / Goth Metal band based in the ashes of Athens – Greece. The Fall of 2002AD was the time that the idea of W.E.B. was born and started to take a life-form shape from an embryonic state to a music challenge expressing darkness and death through adrenaline and poetry. An expression both straight but at the same time theatrical. W.E.B. is here to move you, provoke you, and invite you to the journey through raven-dark starless nights with a fire made of Metal music. Their fourth album, “Tartarus” came out on November 10th (2017) via Apathia Records, which is probably the band’s most diverse album, so far! “Tartarus” focuses on a deeper inclusion of orchestrations, making it sound more epic, while keeping the band’s very own Dark Metal genre. The album also features a noticeable guest apparition by Sotiris Vayenas (Septic Flesh) on the ninth track “Thanatos Part I – Golgotha”.
