The Dissimulation release 'Iškelk Ir Išniekink' MLP/MCD and Obtest release 'Prieš Audrą' CD are both due for a 6th June release via Ledo Takas Records_ First off is a brand new mini album by the most dedicated Lithuanian Black/Thrash metal trio Dissimulation, vomiting yet higher piles of disgust towards pharisaic modern society, while facing its spiritual corruption with cold blood and creative determination. Some still consider the band as just a mere devil and inverted crosses worshippers. However, if you are so shortsighted, new compositions of the band will help to look behind the symbolic facade. Of course, it was and still remains important, yet this is just a prelude, shell, circus introduction – the unknown, open for interpretations, is lurking behind. TRACKLIST 1. Intro 01:43 2. Tavęs Nėra 05:22 3.Iškelk Ir Išniekink 03:23 (free download - click link) 4. Dievturys 06:21 5. Sutvėrimas 04:46 The left artwork is the 12"MLP on golden coloured 45RPM virgin wax with 4 page 12x12" insert and exclusive artwork, accomplished by a long time comrade-in-arms Marius "Šernas" Černiauskas, who has also painted the cover of "Miglose..." EP. Vinyl edition is limited to 300 copies;. The right artwork is the super jewel box MCD with exclusive cover artwork by XXth century Flemish expressionist James Ensor, and 16 pages booklet. CD edition is limited to 1000 copies. It is also available via digital download through Ledo Takas' bandcamp page – title track of the album is already available to stream and download, and the rest of the songs will be made public until the official release date. And then Ledo Takas is throwing another ace of Lithuanian metal on the devilish day of June 6th: long over due re-issue of early demos by celebrated pagan metal horde, Obtest. Back in 1995 the band were just mere beginners, burning ardently with the second wave of Scandinavian black metal, yet their flames soon ignited a real fire that has eventually put the band on the map of worldwide extreme metal. Both "Prieš Audrą" and "Oldness Comming" recordings are sheer examples of ecstatic warlike dedication, and will never cease to impress by their utmost aggressiveness and battle violence, altered by a couple of amazing acoustic intermezzos. _Now, with a totally remastered sound and two bonuses in shape of a few more early tracks, re-recorded professionally in 2006, it witnesses a limited super jewel box CD re-issue for the first time ever, expanded by additional vintage band pictures, and authentic artwork by Rolandas Melanaigis. Compact disk shall be ready by June 6th, while the album is already available for pre-order via Ledo Takas bandcamp page.
Both albums are also available for pre-orders now, via Ledo Takas webshop. ledotakas.net facebook.com/ledotakas ledotakas.bandcamp.com facebook.com/Dissimulation666 facebook.com/Obtest RHYS STEVENSON _ Grammy-nominated American Thrash Metal / Metalcore quintet Shadows Fall blast a hole in the calendar with their scheduled seventh album release 'Fire From The Sky' due for an international release date of 13th August via Spinefarm.
Recorded at Zing Studios in late 2011, ‘Fire From The Sky’ reunitesthe band with long-time friend, producer / engineer & Killswitch Engage / Times Of Grace guitarist, Adam Dutkiewicz, whose previous production credits include both Devil Wears Prada & All That Remains. The album was mixed by Brian Virtue and features some of the band’s most complex and melodic material in years, including two brand new bonus recordings plus two exclusive live tracks. Vocalist Brian Fair comments: “‘Fire From The Sky’ is not a concept album by any means, but a few common themes do link these songs together. These days, the world seems to be spiralling out of control into a frantic state of confusion, corruption and chaos. It's as if we are living under the shadow of an impending apocalypse. The songs on this album were inspired by this chaos and the struggle to find answers in these dark days.” Fans can listen to the brand new album track, ‘Nothing Remains’ HERE. Track Listing:- 1. The Unknown (lead video track) 2. Divide And Conquer 3. Weight Of The World 4. Nothing Remains 5. Fire From The Sky 6. Save Your Soul 7. Blind Faith 8. Lost Within 9. Walk The Edge 10. RHYS STEVENSON _Six Feet Under today have announced the addition of rhythm guitarist Ola Englund to their ranks. Englund, who makes his first official appearance with the band on the 18 Nights Of Blood Tour commencing next month, takes the place of Rob Arnold.
Chris Barnes comments on the new recruit: "Ola is an amazing guitarist and was chosen for his superlative technique and style of playing. We believe he will be the perfect complement to Steve Swanson, and the devastating rhythm section that is Talley/Hughell. Steve, Kevin, Jeff and myself are so looking forward to Ola's entrance into the band upon the release of Undead and the commencement of our first tour next month with Dying Fetus and Revocation. We can't wait for you to witness the new killing machine that is Six Feet Under! Ola takes over duties for our good friend and death metal warrior Rob Arnold who will be retiring from touring but will remain a central writing partner and fellow collaborator on future SFU releases. We are all sad to not have Rob on the road with us, but are confidant and 110% psyched that Ola is now within the ranks of the Undead and will be ready to lay waste to every stop along the way! Hails! Adds Englund: "When I got the call from Chris, it felt unreal; first thing that popped up in my head was, 'why the hell did he want me -- the total gear nerd from Sweden -- to join his awesome band? To be able to share the stage with one of the biggest icons in death metal and the other killer musicians in SFU is a complete honor and a dream come true for me. I couldn't be happier about the situation! Also the new album blew my mind the first time I heard it, it's intense as hell, but still has the riffs and the grooves that Six Feet Under swears by. Fans are going to love it! I'm looking forward to kick some serious ass together with Chris, Kevin, Steve and Jeff! See you on tour!" Check out video footage documenting Englund's supreme axe prowess here. To celebrate its release the band will slaughter souls on a near three-week run of live ceremonies this June. After months of tip-toeing around it, we've decided to break the silence and let you guys know the truth.
After six long, grueling years of relentless back-to-back touring, Ryan Williams has decided to step down from his full time position in The Black Dahlia Murder to pursue a career in recording (please stop and check out his new gig here: http://www.facebook.com/Augmented.Audio). Although the remaining members are indeed saddened by his decision, the good news is that Ryan will still be involved in the band in many ways, from continued contributions of songwriting (Ryan wrote those sick Robocop riffs in "Malenchantments Of The Necrosphere", amongst several others, mind you) to overseeing and co-producing future BDM recordings. As you will clearly see by the statements of all parties involved, the change is completely amicable, and the love and brotherhood we've shared with Ryan over the years remains untarnished. We wish him the absolute best of luck with Augmented Audio and all of his future endeavors. Max Lavelle was literally the first idea of a replacement for Ryan, we had toured alongside him when he was playing with Despised Icon a few different times and had the chance to become pretty good friends with the guy as well as be allowed the chance to see him perform live many times. Max is a diehard metal head, a great bassist, a monstrous live presence and a welcome shot of energy into the bloodstream of this band. His enthusiasm for forwarding the whole is inspiring and exactly what we need at this point in time." - Trevor Strnad Check out the following video for comments from Ryan "Bart" Williams and Max Lavelle here TOUR DATES June 30th 2012 LEEDS – GHOSTFEST August 10th - 12th 2012 - BLOODSTOCK 2012 @ Catton Hall RHYS STEVENSON |
