French post metallers Cancel the Apocalypse release second single from their upcoming second album26/5/2022 French post metal band Cancel The Apocalypse releases their second album "Terminus Stairway" in June 10th 2022. Now they have released second single "Where is Soledad?" from the upcoming album. Band backgrounds the new single: "'Where is Soledad?' is a questioning about loneliness and loss of bearings in industrialized societies. Soledad (whose nationality we don't really know) personifies this lonely being in search of meaning who seeks to escape from her mental shackles. Music is the meeting of several classical and metal influences. The classical guitar's sweetness, the cello's deep tone, the melodious and sometimes flayed voice and the ever looming storm of the drums are all mixed together. The result is a surprising equilibrium that does not leave you indifferent. We have fun listening to the baroque themes mixed with contemporary riffs. Everything here underlines the emotions of Soledad and her inner world."
Cancel The Apocalypse is a bridge between cultures and ages. It started simply: Audrey and Arnaud, graduates of Bordeaux conservatoire and baroque specialists, imagine a new hybrid style, blending today’ styles. They are under the charm of the singer of My Own Private Alaska who is performing in Nimes arenas as opening act for Metallica. Matthieu will be the singer of the band. And Karol of Gorod, another well known artist of the French metal scene, will join him at the drums. The press, specialized and main stream, takes immediate notice of this new vibe, with Telerama awarding them fff. Reviews acclaiming the first opus keep coming, with the tour starting in Frame, then Germany and ending in a blaze of glory with the Fusion Festival. The warm welcome they received allows the quartet to let its ambition and emotions roam free. Amidst the standardized engineered harmonies of the self congratulating music industry, Cancel the Apocalypse emerges as a sparkling oasis, soothing yet disturbing. The result is both avant-garde and unifying. Even more melodious and deep, "terminus stairway" continues the quest initiated by its predecessor "our own democracy". Audrey’s cello has never been so rich and deep, where Arnaud’s melodies (guitar and piano) transcend baroque and blend into the whole classical repertoire. The voice becomes intimately true, deep and self assured, sensitive yet raw, until it reaches its saturated climax, supported by Karol's rich and elegant style. His international experience boosts the combo thanks to his guts strike and his intent. This new world, imagined by the quartet, is driven by new human, social and political codes, in the image of its members. A memoir on anarchy in the XX's century music, activism with Sea Shepherd, study of the vision of French intellectuals on Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, commitment to the prevention of suicide among young people. Values are not an empty word at Cancel The Apocalypse. Their music is the reflect of this positive reflection momentum and humanist action that they have been able to create among themselves, for their loved ones, their children, which they now wish to transmit to the world. “Resilience as the highest gii that a man can have”. Finnish extreme metal phenoms Anzillu – whose sound is punctuated by buzz-saw guitar riffs delivered with equal amounts of dexterous shredding and pummelling brute force – have signed with M-Theory Audio. The group's as-yet-untitled debut full-length is currently set to be unleashed at the beginning of 2023. In the meantime, Anzillu's first single “Needles (On My Nerves)” is available for streaming now, and the music video for the song is available to view at https://youtu.be/AVY2HntvZR8. Additional music from the band's debut album will be unveiled throughout the remainder of 2022. Says the band:- “Having worked hard and kept a tight lid on this band during the COVID-pandemic, it’s great to finally see that our patience paid off. We are thrilled to start working with M-Theory on this upcoming release and can’t wait for people to hear the album. You can expect a couple of tunes to drop throughout the year before the January release.” Though the band itself is new, the musicians comprising Anzillu are not inexperienced. The new group – whose name is inspired by the ancient Sumerian word for “abomination” - was formed in 2019 by guitarist Jesse Kämäräinen after the dissolution of his previous group Inkvisitor, which released two records of thrash-influenced extreme metal between 2015 and 2018. Kämäräinen had already demoed an album's worth of new material at the time of that development, and went on to bring in a battery of fellow notables that had also been making their names within Finnish metal circles to form Anzillu. The searing vocal talents of Teemu Kemppainen (Argent Void), the thunderous bass of Rasmus Kantonen, and the death metal crunch of fellow guitarist Sami Katajainen (GAF) join Kämäräinen's six-string powers to deliver a blistering assault of aural senses. Anzillu – now armed with a full album's worth of material and their collective metallic powers – honed the existing demos into their final form throughout the first half of last year, and entered Sonic Pump Studios in August 2021 with Nino Laurenne (Wintersun, Lost Society, Amorphis, Apocalyptica) behind the soundboard handling recording/mixing duties. The music video for “Needles (On My Nerves)” is just a small taste of the metallic mayhem set to be delivered in full by ANZILLU. The group is also set to perform live June 3rd at Tiivistamö – Helsinki, Finland, as well as at the the John Smith Rock Festival in Laukaa, Finland headlined this year by Airbourne, Dark Tranquillity, Powerwolf, and more - during the weekend of July 21st through July 23rd. More information on ANZILLU, their debut album, and their plans for additional live shows will be revealed in the weeks to come by M-Theory Audio and at www.facebook.com/anzillufi. ANZILLU is:

Thank you all once again for being super awesome! Cheers & Stay Demonic! Demonstealer Follow on Twitter | Like on Facebook Irish grindcore / death metal legends Abaddon Incarnate are releasing a brand new full length after a gap of eight years, with the last one coming out way back in 2014 on Candlelight Records. Since their inception in the early '90s, they've augmented their sound by adding elements to make it even more effective and varied without diminishing their intensity. This is possibly the best expression of the grindcore / death metal hybrid that they've achieved thus far. As the album is quite diverse, three songs are streaming on Bandcamp HERE and on the YouTube channel here. Having been active since the '90s, Irish grindcore / death metal legends have only perfected their sound over the years, creating a quintessential blend of both the styles. They've come a long way from their explosive, highly caustic album 'Nadir' that put them on the map and have since then imbibed more death metal influences to improve upon their expression, adding better structure and nuance to their music. On their latest full length, their sixth, they've expanded upon their sound like never before, injecting myriad elements from thrash riffing to atmospheric passages and stringing them together using staggering transitions, and turning it into a fascinating beast of an album. Every song here offers something different, some even climaxing into a terrific breakdown or shapeshifting into something mind-blowing. The Wretched Sermon is easily their most diverse and expressive album yet, meticulously written to flesh out every nuance, while keeping things brisk and intense. Abaddon Incarnate are in top form here, crafting a potent and relevant album that's bound to go down as one of the best ones in this grindcore / death metal vein in recent years.
German medieval folk metal greats Schandmaul will release their upcoming 11th full-length, "Knüppel Aus Dem Sack", out June 10, 2022 via Napalm Records. The adventurous new offering once again demonstrates the unit's inimitable talent as songwriters and storytellers and invites everyone to enter a thrilling and captivating world of sound. Additionally, “Niamh” is highlighted through an atmospheric official video that captivates the spirit of the band and heats up the anticipation for upcoming live shows. Thomas Lindner on “Niamh”: “'Niamh' is a journey into the world of Irish legends and myths, into the land of eternal youth! 'Heart, what do you desire more?', one would like to ask. But mankind would not be mankind if we were satisfied with something. So we strive for more and the story takes its course... A song to dive in and let yourself be carried away!” Schandmaul are:
In Mexico there is a command of the dead called Aztlan. The band formed in 2018 and mixes Mexican folk music with the sound of metal. The concept of Aztlan is to expose the Mexican culture from ancient times like Aztecs and Mayan to the present day with the sound of Mariachi and Prehispanic Music through a world full of mysticism. The image of the band evokes the traditional ‘Day of the Dead’. The group released their first album, Mexico Inmortal (2019), and it explored for the first time the mix of acoustic and electric sounds, evoking the old Aztec dances with an aggressive sound. The following album, Legion Mexica (2020), showed the mix of mariachi becoming more and more noticeable in each of the songs with ancestral stories such as the Mictlan forming the themes. The Mictlan is the Aztec underworld, the City of the Dead, it is the place where they have to go through nine levels until they reach eternal life in the presence of Mictlantecuhtli The Lord of Death. Aztlan completed their 3rd album, Revolución, in 2021 and will be released via Sliptrick Records this year. Aztlan are:
