Serbian Gothic Doom Sextet The Father Of Serpents are just a a few days away from releasing their debut full length "Age Of Damnation" via Satanath Records (Russia) & United By Chaos (Finland) Decibel Magazine Exclusively Streamed the Music Video of "Viral", the 10th and last track of the album, which can be found at this location The Father Of Serpents is an entity consisted of six souls, entwined with admiration for doom metal. Formed in 2015, by the members of the renown bands from the Serbian scene (The Hell/Awaiting Fear, Tamerlan, Rain Delay, Consecration), their purpose was to leave their name within the musical path paved by the old masters like My Dying Bride, Saturnus, Paradise Lost and Moonspell. Father Of Serpents quickly got large amount of attention in Serbia and beyond. Band performed in Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania First album "Age Of Damnation" contains about an hour of apocalyptic atmosphere, presented through the gentlest of acoustic passages, to the most brutal and vicious parts. Testimony from the band: "Viral was the last song we did before recording the album in the studio, just a few days before. It was almost done in 15 minutes and it went pretty natural and straightforward. We didn't have the time to overthought or analyse the song, so the energy of the moment when we were jamming the song is there. It is both groovy, catchy and dark" Line - up: Tamerlan - Vocals (growls/screams/narations) Pavle Sovilj - Vocals (clean) & Violin Igor Lončar - Guitars Željko Zec - Guitars Milan Šuput - Bass Aleksandar Maksimović - Drums https://www.facebook.com/thefatherofserpents http://satanath.com https://www.facebook.com/satanath666 https://vk.com/satanath666 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_XMIUbGdJCBETve77eOhMA https://satanath.bandcamp.com

Greek metal / rock band, Raw In Sect, have released a new and crazy music video for 'Therion'. The song is taken from the upcoming third album 'Kitro', to be out in September. The video can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/GqwHHW76LTY Filmed in London's Black Island studios by director Peter Lee Scott, the band says the video is mean to reflect the transformation into Therion, which is to "find inner power in a primitive way getting in touch with your instincts." The song's unique blend of traditional Greek music with rock 'n' roll is, according to RAW IN SECT, meant to "redefine what aggressive/rock music is through a totally different approach than the one that has been known in the music scene. "Really though, it's about doing something new and artistic instead of repeating the same old patterns of established bands in hopes of securing a career in a declining music industry. Changing the language of the lyrics in Greek, recording live, and not setting on the sound of previous records that was somewhat accepted, are among the risks we took willingly in order to express something new and reach wider audiences." Raw In Sect is a Greek metal / rock act that has released two full length albums, “Red Flows” (2011) and “Blue Haze” (2014). Possessed by a diverse, surprising and totally unique sound as described by many, the quartet has done several tours performing all over Europe which has gained them a loyal fan base as well as recognition as one of the most deserving bands to rise from the underground. When the “Red Flows” touring era ended, they went on to record “Blue Haze” and mixed it with nominated Grammy award producer Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Caspian, Pearl Jam). RAW IN SECT presented a 7 minute animation epic for the self titled song which was praised by fans and members of artistic communities. The release of Blue Haze was followed by a very long touring schedule which included over 150 concerts in venues and festivals almost in every corner of Europe. 2017 finds Raw In Sect preparing to release their new album “Kitro” among other activities. Having performed parts of it in various audiences, people speak of a band that is expected to shake and redefine the sound of the global metal/rock scene. www.facebook.com/rawinsect www.rawinsect.com Satanath Records has a knack of discovering great bands from even the most unexpected countries for metal in the world. This time around, they've unearthed a band from Iran, playing a form of black / death metal that leans towards the Scandinavian template but add their own flavour to the mix. Zurvan have created a sublime blend of semi-melodic, Dissection-meets-Bolzer kind of sound which it infuses with riffs that are distinctly Eastern-sounding. They're on their way to forming their own identifiable sound but even as of now, their music is a breath of fresh air and holds immense promise, especially for a band from a place like Iran. Like Azooma, they're likely to leave a mark in the genre. Denmark's Undergang will release its newest album later this month on Dark Descent Records. Misantropologi marks the band's fourth - and most devastating - full-length to date. For a taste of the blood to spill, Decibel Magazine has posted the premiere of album track "Skåret I Småstykker." The song is now playing HERE. Pre-order the album now at darkdescentrecords.bandcamp.com Filthy. Disgusting. Heavy-as-fuck. Downtuned. Rotten. Foul stench. These are just some of the words Undergang have been associated with since their debut album back in 2010. Undergang's new album Misantropologi isn't just cementing those assessments but actually adds to it groove and even more filth. Recorded last year at Earhammer studios in Oakland (with Greg Wilkinson who recorded their previous album) immediately after their month-long US tour with label mates Spectral Voice, Misantropologi represents the first recording with their newest member Sam Osborne from Funebrarum. These sewer-bred bastards fourth full-length is once again the antithesis of all of those who wish to bring death metal back to the sunlight. With vocals reaching insane low-depths unheard since the glorious days of the early Finnish scene (no wonder the last track is subtitled 'Tribute to Disgrace'!) that reek of putrefaction à la early Carcass lyrics still in their native Danish, sludgy and primitive riffs and to-the-point songs, this is as dark and brutish as it can be. Nearly 30 minutes of audio horror once again mixed and mastered by Cruciamentum's Dan Lowndes. Four musicians from four different countries with four entirely different biographies, yet all stemming from the world of Rock, now united in one band: Exit Eden The all-female four piece ensemble unites all attributes ascribed to the new millennium: cosmopolitan, self-confident-independent and ready to do their very own thing! Despite their diversity, the four singers Amanda Somerville, Clémentine Delauney, Marina La Torraca and Anna Brunner blend together personally as superbly as they do vocally with their very diverse vocal tones and techniques that go from opera style to raspy rock! This constellation created extraordinary and powerful ideas and finally became their unique plan to raise Exit Eden’s very own edge: to show the world that almost every classic song can be transformed into a solid metal-rock song. Exit Eden’s debut "Rhapsodies in Black”, which will be released on August 4 via Napalm Records (worldwide excluding Germany / Switzerland / Austria via Starwatch), is home to a colourful mix of international super hits from Rihanna to Madonna, from Depeche Mode to Adele, and many more! Still and all, it’s miles away from being just a cover album. A first video will present a grand entrance very soon! Stay tuned for more updates on Exit Eden Who the musicians are: Amanda Somerville: Amanda is a rock-solid authority of the music scene: both as a solo artist and sharing success and the stage with bands like Avantasia, Epica and Kamelot. Though her US-American roots are based in Pop & Rock, she fell in love with the Metal scene and made it her home. She has toured with Alice Cooper, Ian Gillan and many more legends with her commanding voice and fronts the projects Trillium and Kiske Somerville (with Helloween icon Michael Kiske). All of this, combined with her wide range of experience, grants her a unique edge and a permanent address in the Metal world. Anna Brunner: A natural talent, Anna began singing at a very young age. As a daughter of a German father and an American mother, she grew up bilingual and founded her first Rock band as a teenager. Due to a music study that lead her through different parts of the world, she garnered a multitude of experience and it became crystal clear to her: music has to rock – and vocals need to be emotional – just like a passionate scream. Marina La Torraca: Hailing from Brazil, Marina was born with rhythm in her blood. As the auspicious frontwoman of several Metal bands since the age of 15, her path led her to Europe, where she got to perform with Avantasia and to found her up-and-coming band, Phantom Elite. Since having studied musical theatre in New York, the versatile singer and actress can also be seen internationally in musical productions, including the upcoming German tour of the Broadway-Hit, RENT. For her, being close to the crowd is what counts – no problem for her and her natural convincing character. Clémentine Delauney: Clémentine was born near Paris 30 years ago. She has been a multi talent since her childhood days – no matter if she was dancing, playing the piano or singing – she enchanted her audience. At the age of 16, she joined her first Metal band, she is currently fronting Symphonic Metal outfit Visions Of Atlantis and also worked with Serenity and Melted Space. Another one of her career highlights is her participation on Kai Hansen’s (Helloween, Gamma Ray) first solo album, released in 2016. Thus, Clémentine has carved her way into being one of the great performers of the scene. Swiss melodic metal band, Gods Of Silence, will release it's debut album 'Neverland', on September 8 via ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records. Gods Of Silence‘s new album ‘Neverland‘, includes 11 tracks and was produced, mixed and mastered by Dennis Ward (Unisonic, Pink Cream 69). The album/cover artwork was made by Stan W Decker (Masterplan, Vanden Plas, Resurrection Kings, Stryper). GODS OF SILENCE is: Gilberto Meléndez – Vocals (Maxxwell, ex Gonoreas) Sammy Lasagni – Guitars (ex Kirk, Godiva, Granit) Bruno Berger – Keyboards (ex Kirk, In Your Face) Daniel Pfister – Bass (ex Kirk) Philipp Eichenberger – Drums (Legenda Aurea, ex Kirk, PX-Pain) www.facebook.com/GodsOfSilence www.godsofsilence.com The UK's legendary extreme metal icons Cradle Of Filth have announced the details for the band's upcoming 12th full-length album. ‘Cryptoriana - The Seductiveness Of Decay’ will be released on September 22nd via Nuclear Blast. You can view the stunning cover artwork by Artūrs Bērziņš below. Bērziņš is the mastermind behind the new record’s artwork, photography and videography – best known for his defiant neo-symbolism raster graphics and oil paintings; postmodern interpretations of classic myths. He has been proclaimed as a “sacred monster of Latvian postmodernism”. Commented the infamous Dani Filth: "The album is deeply infused with Victorian gothic horror and thus the title is a reflection of that. 'Cryptoriana' implies the Victorian's infatuation with the supernatural, the grave and the ghoulish. And the subtitle 'The Seductiveness Of Decay' further cements this attraction to death and the glittering lengthy process of self-annihilation." The first single off ‘Cryptoriana - The Seductiveness Of Decay’ will be released on July 5th, the same day that the album pre-order will become available. ‘Cryptoriana - The Seductiveness Of Decay’ was recorded at Grindstone Studios, Suffolk, UK by the very honourable Scott Atkins, esq. who has been the resident go-to producer for Cradle Of Filth for several albums. Dani sat in during the mix, serving up flaming mugs of teas, making the studio couch his own and lending his ears when necessary. The band have also announced their first full scale UK and Ireland tour in years, starting in Belfast, Northern Ireland on 30th October. Added Dani Filth: "We, as a band, are incredibly excited about hitting the UK and Ireland for a full run of dates around All Hallows Eve, as playing the band's home country is always great fun and the audiences here are very receptive. And nuts. The dates will be the first in a long line of shows that will extend throughout the rest of the World throughout 2018. We aim to be very prolific on the live front, delivering a show worthy of our fan’s exalted expectations and more" CRADLE OF FILTH UK & IRELAND TOUR: 30.10. Belfast - Limelight 31.10. Arjen Lucassen, Yossi Sassi & More14/6/2017 Israel-based Progressive Metal band Soul Enema is announcing a release date of the upcoming album titled Of Clans and Clones and Clowns. Out on June 23, the album is now available for pre-order from Bandcamp and iTunes. The promising band's second album represents an interesting and varied combination of influences, including 14 tracks mixed an mastered by legendary Jens Bogren (Opeth, Devin Townsend, Paradise Lost, Symphony X). Soul Enema has issued a statement on the forthcoming album saying: "Looking back, it took a lot of time and effort to create ‘Of Clans and Clones and Clowns,’ and the final result brings the feeling of a real accomplishment. It was a long, complicated process, constantly laden with a myriad of good reasons to give up or compromise. It probably couldn't be any different, as our goal was a mature, well-produced statement, consistent in quality throughout, and at the same time versatile enough in its various moods, styles and approaches. “A creative and diverse Rock/Metal album, exploring vast melodic and rhythmic territories — from ABBA to Zappa, from King Crimson to King Diamond, between East and West and way beyond — in true progressive fashion. Like any reflection of the world we live in, it takes a wild ride over a wide emotional spectrum: sad, funny, perfectly sane, totally insane, very direct, quite obscure, and everything in between.” Of Clans and Clones and Clowns also features guest contributions from Ayreon’s Arjen Lucassen, Yossi Sassi (ex-Orphaned Land, Yossi Sassi Band), Sergey Kalugin and Yuri Ruslanov (from leading Russian proggers Orgia Pravednikov). The band commented: “We had a great honour of featuring the instrumental talents of these, as well as other wonderful musicians. Our next aim was to ensure that all of these components work in the final picture, and that's the reason why we welcomed one of the best guys on the list to mix and master this work — Jens Bogren. It deserved the best possible treatment, just as you as a listener deserve the best possible quality. The mixing process was far from trivial, and it took some effort to shape everything our way - clear and powerful enough, yet not overproduced. So, if you like what you hear, please order yourself a CD, or the highest quality digital download, to have it the way we really meant it to sound - full-scale and uncompromising. We hope you will have your own exciting experience with the album!”
Of Clans and Clones and Clowns is out on June 23th, and it can be pre-ordered from Bandcamp or iTunes. Visit Soul Enema’s official website for more information, and follow them on Facebook.
