Russian hardcore/metal band Vorvaň are proud to announce the premiere of "Sirens", a track from their forthcoming album Once Love Was Lost. Stream "Sirens" here: http://www.toiletovhell.com/stream-sirens-from-vorvans-once-love-was-lost-full-album-review/ Once Love Was Lost will be released on October 14th 2016 via WOOAAARGH/Darkened Days. Formed in 2009 by guitarist Eugene Cherevkov in Moscow Russia, the band went through several line-up changes before settling into its current incarnation. The band has built up a solid buzz in their native country and as a result have shared the stage with heavyweights such as Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror and Walls of Jericho. Musicians from Converge, From Ashes Rise, Punch, Afgrund, Plague Widow and Distaste took part in making Once Love Was Lost come true. The music Vorvaň prepared for their listeners has a completely different sound, mixes new genres and contains ten themes united under one idea. The atmosphere has become darker, lyrics have become more hair-raising and the group now uses a second guitar and additional instruments. The release of ‘OLWL’ opens the band’s new era. Once Love Was Lost will be available as a Gatefold 2LP with a 32 page booklet

UK metal outfit As Lions have announced their debut EP Aftermath, out October 14th via Better Noise Records. The EP will be available digitally in the US and physically in Europe. In conjunction with the announcement of the EP, the band have also unveiled the title track and first single ‘Aftermath’. Watch the visualizer here. The EP’s four dynamic tracks are a study in contrasts, mixing thick, grinding riffs and rhythms with majestically sweeping strings, stately piano tinklings and a hefty dose of atmospheric electronics, all shot through with Dickinson’s soaring vocals and introspective lyrics. ‘Aftermath’ has vocalist, Austin Dickinson asking: “What have we created / what have we become?” as guitars churn and crash around him. “Conceptually it's about trying to navigate your way out of disaster, be it personal, collective, or in the case of the video, a war zone,” says Dickinson. Another track, the crushing ‘Deathless’ targets the internet culture’s obsession with image. Comprised of Austin Dickinson, guitarist and keyboardist Conor O’Keefe, guitarist Will Homer, bassist Stefan Whiting and drummer Dave Fee, As Lions are the evolution of British rock. Standing by their mission to create “the biggest, baddest hard rock we could, and on an almost cinematic scale,” the band has worked with award-winning producer David Bendeth (Of Mice & Men, Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon) and Kane Churko (Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, In This Moment). The band has played sold out shows in the UK, performing with metal/rock pioneers, Trivium, and making festival appearances this past summer at Camden Rocks and Download. As Lions are now gearing up to bring Aftermathand their explosive live show to the US during their arena tour with Five Finger Death Punch, Shinedown, and Sixx:A.M. It's a niche style but if you like your music to be volatile and scathing in the black / death metal vein, you need this in your life. Bestialized return to wreak havoc one more time. 'Termestella Cvltvs' is the band's third and latest, and even more ferocious than the predecessors. This is Slayer of the 21st century - if you consider how extreme the sound can develop while keeping that same fiery intent alive and with the aid of the newest and the harshest form of black and death metal. Only the South Americans can whip up such a storm, taking a leaf from revolutionary acts like Krisuin, Abhorrence and Rebaelliun, and furthermore using that level of lightening-speed execution to propel an even sharper and vicious form of extreme metal. The hate that is emitted here is unparalleled. The causticity is palpable - your skin can feel it. It's time to take things up a notch or 10 and revel in this new form of malicious and wicked music. This is the purest form of blistering black metal that remains unabated and ruthless from start to finish. A real adrenaline rush, if there ever was one for this style of uncompromising music. Loud Rage Music proudly announces its recent agreement with one of the best Romanian Metal bands, Gothic! Established back in 1992 by Alin Petrut in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains of Transilvania, Romania, the band became in a short period of time one of the most respected Metal bands in the country and kept the same statute to this day by touring extensively within Romania and abroad all over Europe, playing alongside acts like Manowar, Dimmu Borgir, Europe, Korpiklaani, Gojira, Napalm Death, Decapitated, and many more. Gothic are currently working on the upcoming release of their fourth highly awaited full-length album expected to be out in the beginning of 2017 on Loud Rage Music. In anticipation of the new album the band released a new video for the track Demons, streaming here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouwS141W_Bs More news will follow soon! Beware the Demons!. http://www.facebook.com/Gothic.Romania http://gothic.bandcamp.com/ Avatar have unleashed another visually stunning music video with long time director Johan Carlén at the helm, for their next single 'Night Never Ending' take of their latest album 'Feathers & Flesh' out now via Another Century. Check it out here: http://vevo.ly/Iaab7V "It's is a special song, being probably the most upbeat and, dare I say, happy piece we've ever released" says frontman Johannes Eckerström. "But under the surface of the fragile message of hope and fighting spirit it is little more than a prelude to a tragedy and that is what we set out to capture when we decided to make a video for it". "It is very close to my heart for being the one video where there is no "rocking out" going on and we get to capture a side of Avatar that is just as integral as the good, headbanging times we love sharing with our supporters all around the world. There are few things in this world as beautiful and fascinating as contrasts and this is what all of Feathers & Flesh is all about. Hope and tragedy". The new video drops just a few months after the band debuted 'The Eagle Has Landed' video, also directed by Carlén, the first official music video from the band's most recent LP. With past buzzworthy videos like 'Bloody Angel' and 'Hail The Apocalypse', Avatar continues to raise the bar for what bands are doing visually in the current state of hard rock and metal. The aim is set higher, further and deeper than ever before for AVATAR. Not only is this first concept album their most extensive work to date, showing the widest range of any of their albums, it also contains a story too extensive for any booklet, so they made a book. A fully illustrated 60 page, 109 verse poem hard-cover book. The album is exclusively streaming via the official media partners listed below. Metal Obsession (AU) Spark (CZ) Deaf Forever (DE) Noise (FR) Rocking (GR) Lángoló Gitárok (HU) Andfari (IS) Metalitalia (IT) Never Mind The Hype (NL) Kvlt (PL) Terrorizer (UK) Guitarist and vocalist Chris Dyck comments on behalf of the band: "For me, 'Voice of the Void' is the logical progression, musically and lyrically from 'Heart of Oak'. It goes further in each direction that we explored on the debut. Heavy parts are heavier, fast parts are faster and so forth. In terms of theme and lyrics, this record is far more cynical and less hopeful than the debut. It metaphorically addresses some life choices and paths, and what we see happening in the world. It is a darker and more pissed off album. I feel like we have hit our stride and I am stoked as hell to get on the road and play these songs live. Thanks to everyone for all the support so far!" You want an album that delivers smoking hot rock and delicious heaviness in equal measure? 'Voice of the Void' does exactly that. An avalanche of brilliant riffs comes crashing down your speakers, driven by a relentlessly pounding rhythm section. Vancouver's Anciients have no time to spare, no fillers, no hesitation, they are just pushing and pulling and banging those heads from start to finish. With their sophomore opus 'Voice of the Void', the Canadians are fulfilling all the glorious promises that 'Heart of Oak' (2013) already made. In comparison to their critically acclaimed debut full-length, which already contained the musical equivalent of the warm flow, solid earthiness, and beautifully dark undertones of whisky matured in ancient oak casks within an intoxicating song-writing, the new songs have exponentially boosted the tasty formula unique to this band. www.anciients.com www.facebook.com/anciientsriffs W.T.C. Productions sets December 6th as the international release date for the long-awaited third album of long-running black metal cult Crimson Moon, Oneironaut. Crimson Moon was established in 1994 by Scorpios Androctonus - known also for his work with Acherontas, Zemial, Demoncy, Melechesh, and Akrabu among others - as a solo project in the U.S. and relocated to Germany in 1998. After working with different members throughout the years, 2016 reveals the long-awaited third full-length release titled Oneironaut. Four years in the making, this album has returned to the roots of the line-up and was written, performed, and recorded once again entirely by Scorpios Androctonus with additional guest appearances by members of Acherontas, Demoncy, and Ralph Santolla (ex-Deicide, Death, Obituary) on select tracks. The aura of Oneironaut is a familiar one to previous Crimson Moon releases in the spirit and atmosphere, both musically and lyrically. A definite progression is also introduced in song structure and strategic use of additional instruments, including exotic instruments such as the Esraj, Frame Drums, Tanpura, Cretan Lyra, fretless acoustic bass, and innovative uses of acoustic guitars among other stringed instruments and percussion. The music of Oneironaut executes a blend of mystical, dream-like atmospheres which morph from violent and aggressive black metal synonymous with the occult atmosphere. Lyrically, the topics vary from traditional Necronomicon-inspired myths, Sumerian lore, astral projection, and lucid dreaming to content that covers homage to the old goddesses of worship, survival of the fittest/breaking the myths of equality, and spiritual transcendence. As of 2016, Crimson Moon has established a new and potent full lineup which will debut its first live appearance this month, which will be the first live performance from Crimson Moon in nearly a decade, and the first time to perform live on European soil. More select live shows will follow and are being booked for the remainder of the year and 2017. The new Crimson Moon new line-up consists of: Scorpios Androctonus - bass and vocals Sabnoc - guitars and backing vocals Vual - drums and percussion Agreas - guitars With the new line up, work is currently being put into new material for an upcoming split release that will be announced by the end of 2016, which will forebode much more to come in 2017. www.facebook.com/Crimsonmoonxeper www.w-t-c.org www.facebook.com/W.T.C.Productions Pagan/Folk metal band Vorgrum have teamed up with MetalRecusants.com to stream their new album Last Domain.
