Italian Death metal band Mechanical God Creation sign to Goatmancer records! Band comments: "We are very pleased to start this collaboration with the label Goatmancer that after listening to the new album they believed in the band. Talking to them we found out we had the same goals and it was natural for us to find interest in them. We can’t wait to start the work with the label and spread our music all around the world." Mechanical God Creation was born in October, 2006. The original core of the band sees the light thanks to a forum where Lucy, the former singer of Art of Mutilation who was at that time playing in an English band together with two members of Hecate Enthroned, finds Simo (guitar / vocals) and, the two decide to complete the line-up to form a death metal band. The band walks into the Larsen Forge Recording Studios in Milan in March 2007 to record their first demo entitled "… And the Battle becomes War" featuring 3 tracks and an instrumental intro. The demo is released in May 2007 and is reviewed very positively by magazines and webzines in Italy as well as Europe. In June 2007, the band is selected and voted to play on the 2nd stage of Gods of Metal, playing with sacred monsters like Ozzy Osbourne, Korn and Megadeth. In 2008, the band starts playing live out of Italy, in Austria and at the Metalcamp Festival in Tolmin, Slovenia where they play with groups like Meshuggah, Iced Earth, Behemoth. In July 2008 the band begins to plan recording of their first full length album and, at the same time, signs a contract with Carlo Bellotti. In November, the West Link Studios in Pisa see the band recording the tracks of bass and drums, then it is the Alpha Omega studios in Como where they complete the recording and mixing of guitars and voices helped by Alex Azzali. The mastering will then be done at Finnvox Studio in Finland. Cell XII finds its final shape in Autumn 2009,nine tracks of pure aggression. During those months, the line-up had several changes: Jambra, Runza and Simo decided to leave the project for personal reasons and Mgc was busy searching for new members. The search resulted in Ale, Manuel and Davide joining the band and a second album “Artifact Of Annihilation” was recorded at Math Lab and Alpha Omega studio and mixing/mastering at Garage Studio in Canada from Chris Donaldson of Cryptopsy. After a hard time and several problems within the band, Lucy decides to totally reform it and channel her passionate inspiration through new musicians. Fra and Mirko on guitars, Fabry on bass and Carlo as drummer. During these years they supported Behemoth in Saint Petersburg, Septicflesh in Saint Petersburg and Moscow, they played at Metalhead Meeting Festival in Bucarest with Kreator, Dragonforce, Rotting Christ and many more, in Malta at the Voices of the Succubi festival with Cadaveria, in London at Titan Fest with Onslaught, at Garasje Festival in Reinsvoll (Norway). In 2018 they completed their third album called “The New Chapter”, out during 2019. https://www.facebook.com/MechanicalGodCreation/ http://www.thegoatmancer.com/ https://www.facebook.com/TheGoatmancer/ Mexican death metal cult Ravenous Death premiere the new track "Evil Dementia (The Voices of the Nobodies)" at heavily trafficked web-portal CVLTNation.com. The track hails from the band's striking debut album, Chapters of an Evil Transition, set for international release on January 21st, 2019 via Memento Mori. Hear Ravenous Death's "Evil Dementia (The Voices of the Nobodies)" in its entirety exclusively HERE. Hailing from the vast death metal hotbed of Mexico, Ravenous Death feature current members of such other bands as Remains, Demonic Manifestation, and Death's Forsaken. The band's embryo was brought forth in 2016 during the recording of Remains' third album in Mexico City, when vocalist/guitar player Miguel Angel and drummer Esteban Salcedo toyed with the idea of creating a death metal band influenced by Vomitory, Torture Division, and the likes. Later on, both musicians shared their vision with lead guitarist Enrique Fray, and the three of them agreed to push the idea forward and carry it out as a side-project due to the commitments they all had with their main bands. Soon after, Enrique and Miguel Angel began writing songs for the newborn abomination, and the three members decided to name the band after a Vomitory song titled "The Ravenous Dead." Fast forward to October 2016: the recording of Ravenous Death's debut demo/EP, Ominous Deathcult, is finalized (although not released as a Bandcamp download until March 2017), including five songs chock full of rotting maliciousness that show great poise in combining blasting brutality, crushing heaviness, sombre ambience, and fierce intensity, with the lyrical themes revolving about death, occultism, blasphemy, and other classic topics of the olden Metal of Death. On May 13th, 2017, the band make their first live performance in the city of Guadalajara. For this occasion two new members were recruited - namely, bass player Alejandro Mendez and guitarist Diego Gomez - leaving Miguel Angel on vocal duties alone. After the excellent crowd response, both Alejandro and Diego join the band as official members. Emboldened by this patient momentum, at last arrives Ravenous Death's full-length debut, aptly titled Chapters of an Evil Transition. Indeed displaying the band's transition into an evil death metal juggernaut, the album absolutely bleeds the molten-yet-mildewed essence of '90s Metal of Death. Fucking fashion and trends and especially fickle tastes, Chapters of an Evil Transition is a gutsfucking time-warp to the days when death metal was supposedly "dead," lost in favour of black metal or power metal or (worse) ill-fated sell-out fantasies. In this landscape did many a raw 'n' righteous mini-classic get birthed, and suitably do Ravenous Death continue the proud legacy of Vomitory and Mexican forebears Shub Niggurath, but also especially Sadistic Intent, Seance, old Grave, '90s Immolation, '90s Vader, and Finland's Demigod. No more but definitely no less, this is DEATH METAL by and for death metal MANIACS: no bullshit, and no sell-out! Completed by stark artwork courtesy of Mörtuus and mastering by the esteemed Javier Felez at Moontower Studios, allow Ravenous Death to read you Chapters of an Evil Transition! Keeping with their tradition of crushingly heavy and progressive metal they have composed 2 new songs for this album and included 5 B-sides from ‘The Forever Lie’, which were never released digitally. To accentuate this album they have also released a music video for the first single ‘A Dream of Names’. Technical guitar parts are juxtaposition against melodic vocals in the band’s 10th music video, a moody visual for the thought provoking lyrics that address the current state of the world. “In a lot of ways this album is at a state of the union address. It's been 2 years since the release of The Forever Lie, and already the themes of financial corruption, abuse of religious power, and political scandal seem tame. I wrote this one half with a sarcastic smirk, half with an crippling sense that we are well past the point of return.” says Barrett Klesko (vocals, guitar). The album has been recorded by Media Factory Esine studios of Fabrizio Romani and mixed and mastered by Michele Guaitoli (Temperance, Kaledon) at the Groove Factory Studios in Udine and hosts singers like Adrienne Cowan (Winds of Plague, Light & Shade), Marco Pastorino (Temperance) also as vocal producer and Ark Nattlig Ulv (Ulvedharr). The band comments: "Three years after the release of our last record, we can say that this new album will mark a musical turning point for us, abandoning the fantasy themes and focusing on real issues that life can reserve in each one of us. All this with a sound that is closer and closer to the typical Scandinavian Melodic Death mould with tight rhythms, guitar riffs which are less epic but with impact, and orchestrations designed by Samuele Faulisi (Atlas Pain), from typical classical instruments up to modern parts with synths, more focused collaborations, from the guest singers to the musicians who collaborated with us in the studio, they made everything more natural and spontaneous without forcing, all with a powerful mix." Following Festerday’s first EP ‘Cadaveric Virginity’ on Season of Mist, comes the bludgeoning debut of these cult death metallers, titled ‘iihtallan’. The album, to be released on January 4th, will ensure that 2019 kicks off with a loud bang for (old school) death metal fans. Starting out in 1989, Pietarsaari, Finland, Festerday was inspired by early, classic death metal acts and named their band after a song on 'Reek of Putrefaction’ by Carcass. Early on in their career, the death metal formation released three demos, in truly laconic Finnish style simply entitled 'Demo I' (1991). 'Demo II' (1992), and 'Demo III' (1992) that gained cult status. 'Demo II' was also released on a split with Carnifex. In 1993, the group disbanded. This could have been the end, but Festerday regrouped in 2013, remastered all their previous material with Sami "Jämy" Jämsen at Studio Perkele in November 2014, and released everything on '...the Four Stages of Decomposition...' (2015). Since then, the Finns have continuously worked on their craft, by releasing various splits, compilations and EP’s. It may have taken some time for Festerday to realize their debut full length, but now that it’s here, the metal scene is in for something wicked. Merging their old school death metal roots with black metal and punk, the veteran musicians aren’t afraid to push the borders of extreme music and refuse to conform to what is standardized in death metal. Brace yourself for ‘iihtallan’! www.facebook.com/festerday www.instagram.com/festerdayfinland Joining the ranks at Sliptrick Records this week is the Russian Electro-Metalcore outfit BrightDelight. The band BrightDelight, founded in early 2017, is one of the brightest young representatives of the Russian metal scene. After releasing their debut album Let’s Make It Real and the first few concerts in Moscow, the band quickly gained fans, the number of which is growing every day. Many, including the band themselves, noted that it is difficult to uniquely determine the style of their music. Nevertheless, opinions converge on such definitions as metal core with electronic. At the core of the songs are lyrical electronics – party synths, the contrast between clean and extreme vocals. Instruments, in turn, add density to the sound and accents. But the group and fans alike, the most important aspect of their work is the indescribable atmosphere and drive of the band’s live performances. Over the past year, BrightDelight have expanded the geography of their performances, visiting Kaluga and St. Petersburg. Also, during the year, they successfully passed through all stages of the international music festival “Emergenza”. In the final show, the performance was evaluated positively by the members of the international jury and the organizers of the festival and at the end of the contest, BrightDelight were voted in the TOP 30 best bands of Russia. Expect news soon of the groups plans with Sliptrick Records …we’re expecting a “bright” future!
