Lavadome Productions has released a compilation CD from Australian Death Metal brutes Beyond
Mortal Dreams. Entitled "As Death, We Shall Walk", the album compiles the band's demo, promo and 2004 EP tracks, along with a cover of Nocturnus' "Lake of Fire" featuring Mike Browning on backing vocals, and a re-recording of "Underground Dwellers." The album serves to expose fans to a surprisingly fresh collection of song from the past, as Beyond Mortal Dreams prepares for the release of its sophomore full-length in 2017. Stream the Nocturnus cover at this location.
The CD comes with an eight-page booklet filled with photos from the old days. Also included are liner notes written by band's ex-drummer Hellaeon, which perfectly captures the passion of the early days; a passion that continues to burn to this day.

Australian female fronted symphonic / cinematic metal band Darkyra signed deal with Sliptrick records!
"It's always hard to take that first step of signing with a label, uncertain at times if you're making the right decision but at some point you have to stop saying no and take a risk. So here we go. We've just signed with Sliptrick records. They'll be re releasing Fool and we'll see how we go with them from there."
Darkyra is a five piece Symphonic Hard Rock band based in Perth Western Australia.
It’s members consist of Gina Bafile – vocals, Dave Lyon – Guitar, Kim Siragusa –
Keyboard, Dan Grainger – drums and Maciek Mastalarczuk – bass.
After the successful release and rave reviews of two high production studio albums (a solo project of Gina Bafile under the name Darkyra Black), Darkyra Black was thrown into the spotlight as a strong emerging artist within the world of female fronted metal and rock, fuelling the desire of talented singer Gina to take the music on the road.
In 2015 the focus was to project the brand as a complete band which led to the recent name adjustment from ‘Darkyra Black’ to ‘Darkyra’, and with the new found Australian members the transition from solo artist to a working band was complete.
Keeping within the traditional Darkyra Black style, the relatively young band begin their creative journey together. With a new album concept on the horizon, their very first collaboration, ‘Against all Odds’ is now taking shape.

Australian Death Metal quintet In Death has completed its full-length debut album The Devil Speaks. The band has just released a new lyric video for the song "Malignancy Eradicated." Check it out at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgKCVQP0spg.
Vigorously honing their craft as a live act since August 2008, two crucial elements have developed within the band that now form part of the unofficial band ethos: Tight performances packaged with energetic delivery. The result can only be described as a whirlwind of energy punctuated by an intensely accurate technical punch.
In Death combine overwhelming power and groove with subtle technicality and some unexpected twists to deliver a package that can not only cause frenzy among seasoned metal-heads, but also bring new fans to the metal genre with horns held high and banging heads.
In Death... now established as a force to be reckoned with, is growing not only in stature, but as creative artists. The band's debut full length album features more varied influences compared to the Thanatos and self-titled EPs.. Some new material has a more pronounced progressive side, which is a natural progression as artists grow, but the band is always mindful of never letting the ever growing fan base down. There are certain things that must be expected when you come to an In Death show, and they want to give the punters what they paid for! In this case, Death metal with a groove so intoxicating, you just can't help but bang your head!
In Death.. Is forging their own path. Jump on board or be left in their wake!

Imperium Dekadenz comment regarding their new album: “We are proud that our fifth album ‘Dis Manibvs’ is now streaming in its entirety. In our opinion this album is our most diverse output so far. It carries the typical Imperium Dekadenz mark from the first note, but we have added a new energy. Its epic and melodic parts will carry you off to mysterious and unknown places – like ancient ruins over the vulnerable sides of our spirits. We put our very hearts and souls into these songs! We hope that you enjoy this new journey into the dark realms of ancient cultures and the night."

February 2016; Enter Shikari head out on a tour of the UK, taking in some of the biggest venues they have ever headlined in their decade-long career.
In the DIY fashion that the band have become synonymous with, the video screen content and programming for the front of house quadrophonic audio system has all been created and slaved over for months by the band themselves. Wary of the potential disaster / glorious victory that lies ahead, but never ones to shy away from lifting the curtain to show the inner-workings of their endeavours, the band consider it a wise move to ensure someone is on hand to capture it all on video.
Enter Shikari met photographer / videographer Alexey Makhov on one of their now regular trips to Russia; so when he mentioned his availability prior to the tour, it struck everyone as a no-brainer.
The resulting 30 minute mini-documentary mixes beautifully shot & edited live footage, behind the scenes access, and candid interviews with the band; following them from the tour’s production rehearsals right through to its conclusion at a sold out show at London’s 9000 capacity Alexandra Palace.
Frontman Rou Reynolds had this to say on the subject
“It was great to have Alexy along to document the biggest tour of our lives. He captured both the tension behind the scenes and the emotional release on stage perfectly! "
A full audio recording of the Alexandra Palace show, however, DOES exist, and has now been mixed and mastered. Details of what will be happening with that will be forthcoming shortly.
Enter Shikari have a small number of European festival dates remaining this summer, along with an outdoor headline show at Budapest’s Barba Nagra Track, before heading to Japan and finally rounding off their live 2016 with a short Australian run.

Fresh, dark and extremely powerful are only a few of the best ways to accurately describe Lacuna Coil’s latest opus 'Delirium', which encompasses the strength and heavy approach of thrash metal from the 90’s twisted with goth elements into a modern style. Now, the group proudly presents the album’s first official music video for its gripping title track 'Delirium' which was directed by Michael Winkler (iconographic).
Cristina Scabbia states: "We filmed our parts for this video in one evening while we were on the US tour this past May. We used a Go-Pro against a black backdrop and we wanted something that would be purposely rough, something that could remind some weird lost videos found after years and years.
The whole video edited together with the parts filmed by the director with an actress turned out as a very strange sort of a trip, where a girl tries to tight up memories and details together to try to find her sanity back, somehow. I really like some of the scenes as they reminded me some kind of Korean horror movies vibe and it is totally fitting the ‘Delirium' vibe and concept. It also leaves a lot to the imagination, so thanks for checking it out and enjoy."

Apparently, the legendary Symphonic Setal combo Nightwish is everywhere - even in sports! The Australian national team of synchronized swimmers have announced that they will be using the classical hymn 'Last Ride Of The Day' off Nightwish's "Imaginaerum" from 2012 for their competition at the Olympic Championship! The track will be played in an orchestral version during the swim performance of the team in Rio de Janeiro.
The band feels very honoured and wishes good luck to the entire team!
Down Under elite Denouncement Pyre are premiering their new track "Wounds of Golgotha" via Legacy magazine's website. The track hails from the band's highly anticipated third album, "Black Sun Unbound", set for international release on July 22nd via Hells Headbangers. Three years have passed since the release of their critically acclaimed "Almighty Arcanum", which saw these long-running Aussie tyrants evolving well beyond their black-thrashing beginnings and locate a near-perfect balance between aggression and atmosphere. With "Black Sun Unbound", Denouncement Pyre have perhaps found the balance - between not only aggression and atmosphere, but passion and poison, power and patience, sheer vengeful violence and spiralling night-sky melodicism - in the process delivering a potently black metal record which emphasizes both titular elements of that genre.
In fact, the album title itself bespeaks the brilliance brimming from the quartet here, as each of these ten tracks spills forth a blinding sensation of absolute occult energy, each distinct track distilled into a greater, wholly diabolical totality. Further evidence of such is compounded by the song titles, as well: among them, "World Encircler," "Transform The Aether," "Deathless Dreaming," and the telltale "Revere The Pyre." Fittingly, the production is clear and cutting without sacrificing an ounce of grit on which Denouncement Pyre have built their throne these past 13 years. Returning from a triumphant first North American performance at Maryland Deathfest last month, there's no better time to behold Black Sun Unbound! Hear for yourself the next sounds of triumph exclusively here, courtesy of Legacy, Germany's premier extreme metal authority.
A band statement reads: "Black Sun Unbound is the most challenging album we have created so far, and we have certainly ventured further into the inner darkness with the new material, through a long and demanding creative process. The writing and recording of this album involved a lot of experimentation, and we have seen a vast range of ideas included, more so than past releases; it is a different album to the first two. Expect new doors to be unlocked and old gods to be awakened!" A couple doors have already been unlocked - "Scars Adorn the Whore in Red" and "World Encircler" - and can be found HERE at Hells Headbangers' Bandcamp, where the album can also be pre-ordered. Cover, which was created by David Herrerias, and track-listing are above.
