Australian alternative metal act All This Filth have officially released their brand new video for the track “Drowning” which comes off their latest album “Misery Season” released last year. This is the band’s first full video feature and the track is also available on all digital streaming platforms HERE. On the song and upcoming video for “Drowning”, frontman Brendan Preston comments:- “Drowning is basically about my terrible mental state. It’s about Depression and the feeling of constantly being dragged below the surface and rising again, only to be hit by another wave. It's relentless. It’s just life for anyone, but made much harder when you’re suffering from a mental illness. I think a lot of people can relate and connect to the song and that’s why we’ve decided to do this as our first video clip for the “Misery Season” album.” Watch the video for “Drowning” HERE All This Filth's most recent album “Misery Season” gained a West Australia Music Award nomination earlier in 2019 for the first single “This Is Misery”, their second nomination in the band’s career. A second single release, "Reject The Machine" followed with an accompanying lyric video. Listen to "This Is Misery" here | Watch the lyric video for "Reject The Machine" here. To the uninitiated, All This Filth are a Metal band from Perth, Western Australia. They blend many different Metal and heavy sub genres including Groove Metal, Thrash, Hardcore, Death Metal, Industrial Metal and even hints of Sludge and Nu-Metal to create a unique blend of aggressive fury. Strongly influenced by bands such as Fear Factory, Chimaira and Sepultura, the essence of what metal really means is expressed sonically through the crushing riffs, solid drums and ballsy bass, while being dynamically shaped with electronic keys and audio samples. All This Filth, or otherwise known as ATF spent much of 2018 writing and recording their sophomore album “Misery Season”. Recorded over several months from June – November 2018, the band pushed themselves to complete the momentous task and are ready to hit the road to prepare everyone for what is to come! http://www.allthisfilth.com http://www.krunchentertainment.com https://www.facebook.com/allthisfilth https://www.instagram.com/allthisfilth/ https://twitter.com/AllThisFilth Australian blackened death metal outfit Earth Rot are now unveiling the very first track of their upcoming opus 'Black Tides of Obscurity', which will be released on March 06, 2020 via Season of Mist. Australian Metalcore horde Polaris unveils first album trailer and launches all album pre-orders17/12/2019 Sydney ascending metalcore outfit Polaris recently announced their highly anticipated sophomore album The Death Of Me, due to be released on 21st February 2020 via SharpTone Records. Today the five-piece are pleased to reveal their first album trailer, and also launch all album pre-orders! You can view the trailer here, in which the band discuss their forthcoming album: https://youtu.be/hVMnrs9SkuI All pre-orders for The Death Of Me are now available here: https://www.shrptn.co/polaris When it came time to make their new album, The Death Of Me, the Sydney outfit knew they had a tall order on their hands. Drummer Daniel Furnari states:- “We wanted to walk a line between maintaining what’s defined our band and brought people to our music in the first place, while trying to write for ourselves and keep ourselves interested. Being our second full-length, we knew it was important for us to surprise the listener as well - nobody wants to hear the same record twice. We wanted to give them things they wouldn’t expect, take them to new places, but also for it to be definitively a Polaris record, building on what we’ve been working towards.” Polaris returned to the house in the small Australian South Coast town of Mollymook where they made The Mortal Coil, converting it into a temporary studio. The familiar surrounds acted as something of a refuge after the high-pressure claustrophobia of touring. Accompanying the band was their front of house sound engineer, Lance Prenc, and long-time friend Scott Simpson (of Melbourne band Alpha Wolf), both of whom co-produced the album with the band. They tried a few new approaches to song writing, with tracks such as the anthemic first single, Masochist starting life as a vocal melody, around which the riffs were built, as opposed to the other way around. In the two years since The Mortal Coil, Polaris have embarked on three sold-out headlining tours of Australia, as well as supporting Architects and Parkway Drive around the country; five runs throughout Europe (including a series of arena shows supporting Architects and a slew of high-profile summer festival spots); three separate US tours; not to mention performing at Download Festival in Australia. Somewhere in there, the quintet found time to write The Death Of Me. Polaris announced a UK headline tour last week, in May 2020 with support from label mates Currents and Alpha Wolf, plus Varials. Earth Rot comment:- "A morbid hallucination of the inevitable end. Heralded by titanic black waves, monstrous tentacles spill forth from the abyss, accompanied by a total fracturing of the mind. Hanging black in the heavens, an all-seeing spectre of the adversary confirms our darkest fear: doom is coming for us all. It is with much excitement we reveal the title and artwork for our upcoming Season of Mist debut release, Black Tides of Obscurity with artwork by the exceptional Khaos Diktator Design. To celebrate the album release, we've hand-picked line-ups of the best that Australia's underground metal scene has to offer. Direct support comes from South Australia's most blasphemous sons: Christ Dismembered." It's not all prog that comes from the land down under! Earth Rot; Australia's blackened death metal machine, with an old-school undercurrent and a sense of grim relentless groove. It is hateful, harmful, sinister and melancholy noise shaped by the world around you. Since the inception in 2014, Earth Rot have pulled no punches, recording, releasing and touring heavily across Australia, Asia and Europe with no intent of settling for anything less. Their debut album 'Follow The Black Smoke' was released in the same year, quickly followed by the 'Chthonian Virtues' EP (2016) and the second full length 'Renascentia' in 2017. Cultivating their sound in direct support of legends in the realms of black metal and death metal, around the world. The band embarked on heavy tours together with acts like FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, PSYCROPTIC, VADER and MARDUK. The past five years has seen Earth Rot quickly develop into a complex beast, dwelling in the deepest of pits. And this beast is ready to be released upon the masses... www.earthrot.com.au www.earthrotaus.bandcamp.com www.facebook.com/earthrotband www.instagram.com/earthrot Southwest Sydney metalcore five-piece Harroway have blasted on the scene and teamed up with masters of their craft at Graphics Nature Audio (The Amity Affliction, Knocked Loose, Counterparts, Thy Art Is Murder) with their debut single "Shine" flaunting intricate guitar work, huge heavy vocals and catchy cleans. The track itself was recorded in Belleville, New Jersey at legendary Graphics Nature Audio with production and engineering by Sonny Truelove with the mix and master by Will Putney. "Shine" explores the light and shade up against the brutal raw vocals that form the backbone of the track with melodic instrumentation that weaves its way throughout. The single is essentially a reminder for vocalist Matt Banks and to listeners not to give up on passions and aspirations no matter how hard life gets. Banks explains the writing process in saying that:- "Over the course of the writing process riffs and structures changed, and so did my mood, so the verse became an outlet for the dark personal things I was dealing with at the time - which was basically feelings of not being good enough." "Keeping the original intentions for the song in mind, I reflected back on all the positive words of encouragement I had received over the years while trying to follow my dreams which I summed up into the lyrics: ‘But I remember something you said, never forget the reason your heart beats in your chest. Keep the fire inside. We’re all born to shine’. The single comes accompanied with a music video directed and conceptualised by music cinematography legend Third Eye Visuals (Parkway Drive, Gravemind, In Hearts Wake). The film features the band playing through their single within a colourful kaleidoscope that transitions along with the music, creating for a captivating watch and an addictive listen. Harroway consists of former members of Maybe I’ll Live Forever, Isotopes and Like Royals with Matt Banks on vocals, Marcus Cunich on guitar and vocals, Alex Maybury on guitar, Jordan Sheriff on bass and Jesse Gallagher on drums. The band has arrived just in time to take their place among Australia's best and heaviest, representing Australia's thriving and ever-growing heavy music scene. The track hails from the band's long-awaited third album, Hieroglossia, set for international release on November 15th via Nuclear War Now! Productions. Hear Ignivomous' "Hieroglossia" in its entirety exclusively HERE. Seven long years after the release of their sophomore album, Contragenesis, Ignivomous return with their third full-length, Hieroglossia, unveiling eight tracks of organic, primal death metal — the kind the band has become synonymous with in its 13-year existence within the death metal underground. Borne out of the members' desire to see a resurgence of a heavier, more dissonant style of death metal, Ignivomous were among the first wave of bands to reignite interest in the genre in the first decade of this century. Hieroglossia preserves the core membership of the band present throughout its tenure — Sean Hinds (guitar), Chris Broadway (drums), and Jael Edwards (vocals) — and presents the recording debut of Lewis Fischer on guitar (Altars) and Chris Jordon (Inverloch, Eskhaton) on bass, both of whom have cemented the band’s live assault for the previous few years in a campaign of high-profile shows in their native Australia. This lineup in its current form has secured and built upon the band’s unrelentingly legacy, oozing raw, sinister death metal pushed a step further into the void, creating an album which synthesizes the band's influences with a definitive and individual vision. While projecting a murky and atmospheric take on the death metal template, Heiroglossia avoids sacrificing the primacy of the riff for reverb-drenched formlessness or songwriting in favour of dissonance for its own sake. Thematically, Heiroglossia continues Ignivomous’ investigation into topics of Philosophical pessimism, influenced by the works of Thomas Ligotti and E.M. Cioran, and Gnostic concepts of the fallen and hostile nature of the material world, presented throughout with a literary sensibility which should be accustomed to those familiar with their previous output. Continuing to prove their unique approach to a fresh genre, The Weight of Silence are "Runnin' Through The 666" on their latest single, blending metalcore with the swagger of trap! Vocalist Jacob Pederson states that:- “While we’ve focused our recent 2 singles on the #TRAPMETAL movement, our brand new single "Runnin Through The 666" could almost be placed as melodic hardcore! This is the sound we started this band on, and even though we’re all about evolving with our sound, we will never forget where we came from. This one is for our day one fans!" Watch "Runnin' Through The 666" Official Video The video for "Runnin' Through the 666" premiered on September 18 through New Noise Magazine; it showcases the band's live energy and the flare for the dramatic that can be heard in all of their songs. It's undeniably an unconventional and sometimes silly approach, but The Weight of Silence's roots in hardcore are evident in their music and in their dedication to their fans! Spotify |
