Defiant are to release their brand new EP "Vanguards Of Misrule" on June 26th, 2022. "Vanguards Of Misrule celebrates and encompasses everything that Defiant is over the last 17 years of its turbulent existence and shapes the future of the things to come. It is our most focused work yet and a classic example of an EP with a strength of a full length." - says T.K. (vocals, lyrics) Kris (guitars, song writing) continues - "Definitely our most complex material so far that will not leave anyone indifferent. And a good introduction to what follows next.". Defiant is a death / black metal band from Croatia formed in 2005. On the last 2 albums they played melodic death metal, but after some changes in the band they decided to change their style to pure death / black metal. Defiant's debut album "The End of Beginning" was self-released in autumn 2006. In 2008 some new promo stuff was recorded for the upcoming album "Without Religion There Is No Fear", but because of some problems the band split-up. While everything was on hold, Defiant's founder Kris worked on some new music, more brutal than previous stuff. 2011 was a new beginning for the band; new blood was recruited and after a few shows with a new line-up, Defiant was ready for recording a new album in "Era Of Substitution", which was more extreme than previous works from the band. In 2012 Defiant signed for Grom Records. In 2015. Defiant recorded their third album "Morbid Spiritual Illness" with the new line up after a two-year break; the new album was recorded at Studio Armageddon. Also in 2015 and Defiant signed a contract with Swiss label Miner Recordings. In 2020 the band welcomed Zoran Stjepic on bass. The band co-released the split "Ways Ov Damnation" with the Hungarian black / death metal band Dvvad via Tortured Tree productions. January 2022 saw Defiant record material for their new album "Insurrection Icon" at Hellsound Studio, Czech Republic with new vocalist / lyricist Tomislav Kuternik. The new darker opus "Insurrection Icon" was unleashed May 25th via Spanish label Art Gates records. The album was met with rave reviews from international and local metal sites, proclaiming it to be the band's best album so far. In the same month the album was promoted on the "Insurrection in the East" tour, mainly across Eastern Europe with new drummer Sead Hadžić (ToxicDeath, Contusio). Due to Covid-19 Defiant entirely focuses on writing new material which spawned their first ever EP named "Vanguards Of Misrule" which will see the darkness of the day 26th June 2022. It is dedicated to LG Petrov from Entombed. The new album "Mammon Mantra" will be recorded in 2023 with special guests. DEFIANT ARE:

Thirst of Faust is a Death Metal band all the way from Kolkata, India. Keeping storytelling in the forefront, the band tries to incorporate technical guitarworks mixed with heavy grooves and powerful drumming. Musically experimental, the band strives to bring together emotional, yet brutal music and folklore appealing to both metal enthusiasts and as well as those who appreciate the lore of music. The newest track "Aftermath", which follows the sophomore track "Mephisto" presents brutal dark torment, heard through the music of the band itself. Aiming to take the listeners on a sonic adventure through literature and periods, the band released "Mephisto" which marked the beginning of an epic interpretation of the ever famous tale of Faustus by Goethe. The upcoming single "Aftermath" dots the conclusion of the epiphany faced by Faustus from the perspective of the band, delving deep into a mind riddled with schizophrenia. "Aftermath" recreates the troubled mind through uncanny guitars and erratic vocals from the entire band. Through their music, Thirst of Faust batters the listener both musically and lyrically, blast beats set the pace for epic lyrics presented in both guttural and clean fashion that focus on relatable situations. The band shares their process: "After developing the frightening tale of the rise to power of Faust in "Mephisto", "Aftermath" depicts the downfall of our protagonist in physical, emotional and mental aspects. Each song acts as a chapter in our musical story. The lyrics represent personal events and emotions and then we wrap these experiences through our eerie music". "It's a much-awaited conclusion to an epic tale!" - Robby Dutta (Vocalist) Atmospheric and driving, the medley of blast beats, chugging bass, and heavily distorted solos will be both intense and immersive. Thirst of Faust is recommended for fans of Alkaloid, Alluvial, Death and Cynic (Progressive/Technical Death Metal in general). Listen to Thirst of Faust's singles at the following links:

Thank you all once again for being super awesome! Cheers & Stay Demonic! Demonstealer Follow on Twitter | Like on Facebook Irish grindcore / death metal legends Abaddon Incarnate are releasing a brand new full length after a gap of eight years, with the last one coming out way back in 2014 on Candlelight Records. Since their inception in the early '90s, they've augmented their sound by adding elements to make it even more effective and varied without diminishing their intensity. This is possibly the best expression of the grindcore / death metal hybrid that they've achieved thus far. As the album is quite diverse, three songs are streaming on Bandcamp HERE and on the YouTube channel here. Having been active since the '90s, Irish grindcore / death metal legends have only perfected their sound over the years, creating a quintessential blend of both the styles. They've come a long way from their explosive, highly caustic album 'Nadir' that put them on the map and have since then imbibed more death metal influences to improve upon their expression, adding better structure and nuance to their music. On their latest full length, their sixth, they've expanded upon their sound like never before, injecting myriad elements from thrash riffing to atmospheric passages and stringing them together using staggering transitions, and turning it into a fascinating beast of an album. Every song here offers something different, some even climaxing into a terrific breakdown or shapeshifting into something mind-blowing. The Wretched Sermon is easily their most diverse and expressive album yet, meticulously written to flesh out every nuance, while keeping things brisk and intense. Abaddon Incarnate are in top form here, crafting a potent and relevant album that's bound to go down as one of the best ones in this grindcore / death metal vein in recent years.
In Mexico there is a command of the dead called Aztlan. The band formed in 2018 and mixes Mexican folk music with the sound of metal. The concept of Aztlan is to expose the Mexican culture from ancient times like Aztecs and Mayan to the present day with the sound of Mariachi and Prehispanic Music through a world full of mysticism. The image of the band evokes the traditional ‘Day of the Dead’. The group released their first album, Mexico Inmortal (2019), and it explored for the first time the mix of acoustic and electric sounds, evoking the old Aztec dances with an aggressive sound. The following album, Legion Mexica (2020), showed the mix of mariachi becoming more and more noticeable in each of the songs with ancestral stories such as the Mictlan forming the themes. The Mictlan is the Aztec underworld, the City of the Dead, it is the place where they have to go through nine levels until they reach eternal life in the presence of Mictlantecuhtli The Lord of Death. Aztlan completed their 3rd album, Revolución, in 2021 and will be released via Sliptrick Records this year. Aztlan are:
Band links: Official Website | Facebook | YouTube | Instagram | On Sliptrick Behemoth, the high priests of extreme metal have announced their 12th studio album, Opvs Contra Natvram, their most thought-provoking and arresting collection to date, set for release on September 16th, via Nuclear Blast. The album's first single, 'Ov My Herculean Exile' arrives today, alongside a cinematic official video, directed by Zuzanna Plisz. The 10 chapters of fury that make up Opvs Contra Natvram were written and recorded over the course of a very strange year for the globe - a situation which only heightened the level of craft seen in these 43 minutes and 15 seconds of searing wrath. As with previous studio outings, Opvs… was produced by Behemoth, with mixing by studio legend Joe Barresi (Nine Inch Nails, Tool, QOTSA, Alice in Chains).
Renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and absolute creative control of Behemoth’s world, frontman and band visionary, Adam 'Nergal' Darski revelled in the depressurised environment afforded by the pandemic. It meant that for nearly the first time since the band’s inception over 30 years ago, there was no deadline to observe, allowing for a nearly unprecedented level of attention to the process of writing and recording. Beyond any confines of genre, Behemoth have grown to become nothing less than the personification of rebellion, individuality and unflinching self-expression informed by a literate worldview and worldliness that’s resulted in a locking of horns with everything from the mainstream press to the Polish Catholic church – most notably manifesting in Nergal’s trial for blasphemy in 2010 that only served to expose the deep-seated hypocrisies that his music seeks to challenge. Nergal states: “The album title means going against the current. It’s the negative of the values and morals and ethics that I stand against. I’ve seriously been wrestling with destructive tendencies in pop culture - cancel culture, social media, and tools which I feel are very dangerous weapons in the hands of people who are not competent to judge others. That’s something which I find very destructive and disturbing - and extremely limiting coming from an artists’ perspective. This is my middle finger to that. There’s a song on the record called 'Neo-Spartacvs'. Spartacus was one of the most iconic rebels in history who went against the most powerful empire of all time. In the end, it’s me screaming, ‘I Am Spartacus, and so are you!’ I want to spark that flame of rebellion. If something seems wrong then stand up to it!” Album artwork: Anton 'Strss893' Pavsyuk Opvs Contra Natvram tracklist: POST-GOD NIRVANA MALARIA VVLGATA THE DEATHLESS SUN OV MY HERCULEAN EXILE NEO-SPARTACVS DISINHERITANCE OFF TO WAR! Canadian progressive death metal quintet Truent have released the official video for new single "This Verdant Coil," a track from forthcoming album Through The Vale of Earthly Torment. The single is also available on all the usual digital platforms. Truent will self-release their full-length debut album, Through The Vale of Earthly Torment, on June 17. Pre-order below. The band previously released the official video for album track "The Last Hunt," which is available at: youtu.be/i9slBGYesLc Born in a small town outside of Vancouver, BC, Truent is an exhilarating Canadian metal act on the rise. Combining massive riffs, head-spinning technicality, and sharp song writing, Truent has crafted a crushing brand of groove-laden progressive death metal that is uniquely their own. Album Credits:
The band has released the following statement concerning the forthcoming new album: "Written and recorded while the world was being ravaged by the pandemic, Through the Vale of Earthly Torment was an exercise in escapism for us from the grim realities of life in turbulent times. While not a concept album in the traditional sense, we turned to themes of mythology and lore, exploring how people from all corners of the globe across all time periods have used myths to create vivid descriptions of their values. Each song centres itself around a creature or deity, and each of these entities are made to represent one of the seven deadly vices, giving the album a consistent through-line to follow. Musically, we expanded our sound with influences from all across the heavy music spectrum in order to create the most dynamic record we could. The songs weave together pummelling and technical riffs, triumphant choruses, and a number of oddball moments that hit seemingly from nowhere. There’s a wide mix of subgenres and sounds we explore throughout the album, often within the same song. We incorporate elements of everything from tech death to thrash metal to metallic hardcore into the records core sound of groove-filled progressive death metal. We do not want to be an easy band to categorize, and we feel this record is our most diverse work to date." Truent has spent the last few years cultivating a strong following throughout Western Canada. With two EPs, multiple tours of the region, and shows supporting the likes of Archspire and Voivod, the band earned themselves a spot on AltPress’ list of “50 rising Canadian bands to keep on your radar." With these experiences under their belt, Truent entered the studio in the spring of 2021 with producer Tim Creviston (Spiritbox, Angelmaker, Misery Signals) to record their debut full-length album, Through the Vale of Earthly Torment, to be released June 17, 2022 Greek symphonic death crew Septicflesh release lyric video for new single "A Desert Throne"23/4/2022 Symphonic death metal maestros Septicflesh have revealed a striking lyric video, accompanying their magnificent new single "A Desert Throne'. Depicting a desolate, desert wasteland, completely void of humanity as we know it - one hopes that the end of times is a farfetched, distant future... Septicflesh's forthcoming studio record Modern Primitive will be released on May 20th, 2022. Pre-order it via various formats and stream the new single now at: https://septicflesh.bfan.link/a-desert-throne.ema The band commented: "This is a more epic song with dominant dramatic melodies. Will mankind be leaving behind a barren Earth as its legacy? A desert planet like Mars? For the visualization of the song, a small animation sequence was created by Cloud Factory and was 'dressed' appropriately with the lyrics of the song. Enjoy!" SEPTICFLESH ARE:
