Heavy Generation is a heavy metal band formed in 2015 by Marco Marchioni (bass) and Marco Stefani (drums). In 2016, after several line up changes, Fabio Cavestro (guitars) and Ivan Giannini (voice) joined the band. With them, Heavy Generation reached a balance that gave the band the cool heavy sound they were looking for.
Heavy Generation want to spread their own personal message through their songs. They deal with several themes: mythology, honour, war and dystopia, the deep connection between spirit and nature, the denial of a corrupted society and the balance between the passion of heart and the power of mind. To help achieve this vision, the band members perform on stage as four road warriors, with costumes and scenography freely inspired to a post apocalyptic scenario.
In 2017, the recording sessions took place for the bands debut album The Spirit Lives On and toward the end of the year, the video Fire, Steel, Metal was filmed, directed and edited by Violex Video. It’s taken from the upcoming album and tells a story of how to defeat your own demons and change your destiny by the power of the will …and, of course, through heavy metal. The Spirit Lives On is set to be released via Sliptrick Records later in the year.

Italy's folk metal KormaK signs a worldwide deal with Rockshots Records!
Hailing from the south of Italy, newcomer folk metallers KormaK have just signed a record deal with Rockshots Records for the release of their debut album "Faerenus" in June!
The album inspects on the concept of madness and what this is caused by. Indeed "Faerenus" is the ethereal place where the hidden fears come to life by creating times, places and divinities, and the mind self-evolves until all the memories are mutated into obsessive nightmares with no escape."Faerenus" is a no-place covered of secret symbols as well as obscure meanings, ending with the lullaby "Eterea El" that commits you to leave that place no more. KormaK was born in October 2015 from an idea of the singer Zaira De Candia with the original line-up. The band takes its name from "The Kormak Saga", a fantasy literary work loved by all the band members.
The different influences of the musicians led the project to range in different genres, keeping the folk and Celtic metal as main topic. In March 2018 they realized their first single "The Goddess’ Song", available at the following link: https://youtu.be/bcZI-QYDPW0
The debut album "Faerenus" is set to be released on June 29, 2018 via Rockshots Records, and it's already available for pre-order here: http://bit.ly/Faerenus_PREORDER
If you are into Ensiferum, Heidevolk, Amon Amarth, Folkearth, you cannot miss the ultimate folk metal opera "Faerenus"!
The Symphonic / Power Metal band Kantica are proud to present the first official video clip for the song "And Then There Was Pain", taken from the album Reborn in Aesthetics (released by Revalve records).
MaterDea is one of the most known and recognizable metal bands in Italy coming out of the pagan and Celtic scene. It has been 2 years since their last release, a full length entitled “The Goddess’ Chants” and they are ready to indulge their listeners in a new fascinating and enthralling journey with “Pyaneta”.
Following the direction started with “A Rose for Egeria”, this new record is a further step forward into the melding of metal and Celtic music, in the personal style that MaterDea’s fans will acknowledge and love once more. It is a powerful symphony where all the instruments and the voices join the sounds of nature, painting new grandiose landscapes enriched by colours and sophisticated arrangements. The melodies reveal themselves along with the sumptuous guitar riffs, a powerful rhythmic session and the twist of strings and orchestration, allowing the listener to be carried away in a dimension full of energy, beauty and hope by these magical tales.
The band describes “Pyaneta”:-
“In this new album the stories are inspired by the deep interconnection that exists between every living thing and the largest sentient organism that hosts us, our planet Earth. It is an exhortation to the awareness of the environmental danger, a cry of hope for its future and a message of love for life in its gorgeous wholeness.”
MaterDea goes to great lengths to ensure that their listeners can be thrust away from reality and thrown into a fantastical world full of enchantment and magic and “Pyaneta”, their fifth album promises to do just that. Citing influences such as Genesis, Jethro Tull and Led Zeppelin, the band creates a gentle yet powerful type of metal with various classical overtones. With a desire to create powerful, intense, emotional music that features pantheistic themes the 7 classically trained Italian musicians paint a rich fantasy world for their listeners. To date they have released four full lengths, “Below the Mists, Above the Brambles” (2009), “Satyricon” (2011), “A Rose for Egeria” (2014) and “The Goddess’ Chants” (2016).
“Pyaneta” is set to be released via Rockshots Records in Europe on June 8 and in North America on July 6. There is currently a crowdfund set up for fans who wish to support the album by pre ordering or donating.

Black Light is a Metalcore band from Ferrara, Italy. The project started in 2012, when two brothers, Nicholas Casarin (guitar) and Mattia Casarin (drums) who shared the same passion for music, began to create the core of the groups sound. After various changes, singer Lou Oddon, decided to quit his home country of France and join the party. Two years later Matteo Perini became the official bassist, giving the band its current stable line-up.
In the early days, Black Light’s music gravitated from an alternative rock style toward a more trash metal/alternative metal sound, but their evolution was just beginning as they started to get inspired by bands like Miss May I, Asking Alexandria and Architects. Seduced by the power of the breakdown, their verses became deeper, heavier and angrier with more lyrical social meaning, while their choruses began to feature strong and memorable melodies, revealing warmth in the Black Light cannon. The band is now predominantly of the metalcore genre without forgetting their roots, giving the audience a more intense experience between light and dark.
Black Light will release their new single in digital format on May 18th. The track is called Map Of Truth and is taken from their forthcoming EP Set Yourself Ablaze which is due to be released worldwide via Sliptrick Records later in 2018.

Denmark's Taphos sets release date for debut album; reveals first tracks, to tour with Degial in May
Blood Harvest Records and Helter Skelter Productions set June 8th as the international release date for Taphos' highly anticipated debut album, Come Ethereal Somberness, on CD and 12" vinyl formats.
Hot on the heels of Blood Harvest's compilation of the band's first two recordings as Demo MMXVI & 7" EP MMXVII, garnering widespread acclaim and heightening anticipation for their first full-length, at last arrives Taphos' Come Ethereal Somberness. As a debut LP, Come Ethereal Somberness does everything it should: stay consistent to a band's sound established on their demos whilst pointing toward new avenues. Here, Taphos do both, and then some.
Hailing from the same Danish scene as Undergang and Phrenelith, Taphos create a classic - and classically gutted - style of Metal of Death. Their first recording, Demo MMXVI, possessed a darkly thrashing sound highly reminiscent of turn-of-the-'90s death metal on both sides of the Atlantic, as resolutely Scandinavian as it was American, its filthy propulsion as palatably fresh as it was authentically ancient. On the subsequent two-song EP, Taphos' sound becomes more world-eating, their songwriting aims more epic whilst not losing the raw fury of their beginnings.
Now, with Come Ethereal Somberness, they synthesize the two stylistic shifts into something both berzerker and epic, manic and finesse in equal measures. Indeed, Taphos are firing on all songwriting cylinders here, as the energy literally bursts off the charts but retains a sense of composure and daresay class rarely scene in full-blooded death metal. Hammering and hideous yet nevertheless invoking a clarity that never castrates their attack, the quartet render each of these seven central compositions (bookended by moody instrumentals) a story unto itself. Hell, the titles themselves tell that story - "Ocular Blackness," "Insidious Gyres," and the equally telltale "Thrive in Upheaval" and "Impending Peril" among them - and that story is horrific.
New nightmares are here, then, and Taphos will be taking them on the road with a full European tour this May alongside Swedish comrades Degial (dates after the jump). Until then, as its title ominously proclaims, Come Ethereal Somberness! Hear two new tracks off the album, the aforementioned "Thrive in Upheaval" and "Impending Peril" HERE at Blood Harvest's Bandcamp. Pre-order info can be found HERE.

Rockshots Records is proud to announce the signing of Italian folk metal Kanseil. Formed in 2010, the band are a 21st century version of their land’s rich-story telling tapestry, they are bards with instruments, musical archaeologists, excavating the sounds and stories of their country’s past to create something new, beguiling and beautiful.

The album follows their 2015 debut "Doin Earde" released on Nemeton Records.
The band comments:
“'Fulìsche' are the sparks of a fire moving away from the element they were born from, they shine in their own glow and you can watch them for a few instants before they disappear forever in the dark…In the same way mankind’s stories live in the collective memory until they take flight and you have a limited time to look at them and catch their beauty before they’re lost.”
