America's Light The Torch (formerly Devil You Know) discuss name change and new album details29/7/2017 Light The Torch is a burgeoning new force within the hard rock/metal community who just inked a new world-wide deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The group, formerly known as Devil You Know, features the iconic Howard Jones (ex-Killswitch Engage) on vocals, Francesco Artusato (ex-All Shall Perish) on guitars and Ryan Wombacher (ex-Bleeding Through) on bass. The new full-length album is currently in the mixing stages and showcases the band in an all new light, as Jones delivers the most poignant performance of his storied career. With no more song-writing restrictions, the band are reaching greater heights trying out a plethora of new ideas, which you will all hear in the coming months. Light The Torch will absolutely continue to perform Devil You Know songs and as the band state below, the only way the group could legally continue to perform as band would be under this course of action. Light The Torchstates: “After member issues and legalities continued for a year with no end in sight, we collectively felt it was time to put DYK to rest. Every effort was made to avoid this decision, but it needed/had to be done for the sake of moving forward. We will be forever grateful to those of you who shared that journey with us. With that said, we decided that this was a perfect time to write and record something truly different, something that reflected what we have been through and what we have become. Our new album is almost done being mixed, and there will be many more details coming in the following days and weeks. We are Light The Torch. See you soon." www.nuclearblast.de/lightthetorch https://www.facebook.com/LightTheTorchOfficial https://twitter.com/LTTorchBand https://www.instagram.com/lightthetorchband

Asim was born in Pakistan and moved to Finland at the age of 18 to pursue a career in music and has been playing in several bands and projects since then. Jari Mäenpää commented: "We've known him for a long time and we knew he is a great singer, but we didn't realise how talented and skilful a guitar player he is. Asim was actually the first one who sent us an audition video, which surprised us very positively. After the video auditions and two rounds of live auditions we realised he was exactly what we were looking for. He is very motivated and passionate with a good heavy metal attitude - a great guitar player and vocalist to improve the live sound of Wintersun even further!" Asim commented: "It's an honour to be a part of a band that I have looked up to for many years. It's definitely a dream come true and I'm super excited to share the stage with Wintersun!" Following the 2013 release of their self-titled debut LP through Six Weeks Records and an extensive US tour, Transient took some time to realign their line-up and attack. Having replaced two members in recent months, vocalist Krysta Curry (formerly Martinez, also of Landmine Marathon) and guitarist Adam Wilson now welcome bassist Brandon Curry, and drummer, Justin Rodda, both new members also hailing from Endorphins Lost, who released their debut LP through Six Weeks in late 2016. Issues Transient on the status of the band, "We are really proud of the years that we've spent on this project. We love everyone who has helped bring the band to life at one time or another and continue to wish them all the best in their variegated endeavours. This Summer, Transient will emerge from hiding with new music and faces. Justin and Brandon bring with them tremendous abilities and will add a new depth and ferocity to our sound. Those that have had the privilege of watching them perform live know exactly how much infectious energy they'll bring. We're excited for what the future holds." Transient has also booked Earhammer Studios for the first week of September, where the band will work with Greg Wilkinson to record the follow-up to their debut LP. Shows in Seattle, Portland, and Oakland are being booked surrounding the recording sessions. Transient will continue working on their new material, and will make their live re-emergence at Northwest Terror Fest in June, joining Warning, Cephalic Carnage, Wolves In The Throne Room, Yob, Samothrace, and dozens more. Additional widespread touring from the band is imminent. His replacement is a young bass player from Brasov, the band’s home city, Radu “Snuff” Constantinescu, who was active in the bands Consequence and Around the World and who has other two active projects: Arrest The Moment and My Backyard Telescope. He already performed in two live shows with False Reality during the first two concerts in the End of Eternity album promotion tour that started in January this year. False Reality will continue their Romanian tour with their new bass player, announcing four more shows for now, in March, in the following cities: București (03.03.2017) Buzău (04.03.2017) Târgoviște (17.03.2017) Constanța (18.03.2017) https://www.facebook.com/KatharosXIII http://www.loudragemusic.com/ http://loudragemusic.bandcamp.com/ Triaxis are proud to reveal their new vocalist to be the incredible Greek musician and songwriter Angel Wolf-Black. Those with a keen interest in European metal will know Angel from her own solo work, or with bands such as ‘Seduce The Heaven’, ‘Bare Infinity’, featuring in ‘Vivaldi Metal Project’ or working with female metal vocalist community ‘Eve’s Apple’. Having recently moved from Greece to study music in Southampton, UK, this is a perfect time for Angel to bring her unique tones to mix with a typically British classic metal sound, forging something exciting for Triaxis fans old and new to enjoy. Angel comments: “Over the last couple of months I have loved learning and rehearsing the Triaxis material and I am so excited to perform it live! I hope that the fans will share in my excitement and enthusiasm for the future. We have already begun to write for our next release so they shouldn’t have long to wait!” Angel joins Glyn Williams and Matt Chambers (guitars), Becky Baldwin (Bass) and Gareth Arlett (drums), to work together rehearsing for upcoming shows and writing the band’s fourth album. Becky comments on the recent changes and the future of the band: “We are very happy to welcome Angel on board, it was pure good fortune that such a perfect fit for the band had just moved to England when we had started advertising for a singer. We would also like to thank the Triaxis vocalist of 10 years, Krissie Kirby, for all her work with the band. When she first spoke about leaving the band we were of course feeling low and uneasy. But now we are honoured to have Krissie’s blessing in continuing the band in it’s new chapter with Angel at the helm. There is still an exciting future ahead for Triaxis!" You can catch Angel Wolf-Black fronting Triaxis on tour this Spring, starting with a support slot on the 25th of February in Southampton, and a full headline performance in Birmingham on the 26th of February for Power Metal Quest Fest. The band's newest song "Forsaken Tale" is gonna be released on the 5th of September with a brand new lyrics video. The video was made by Davide Cilloni who is also known for his works for Epica. Sorronia's new single album, the forerunner of the band's second full length album, "Forsaken Tale" will be available from October. There are gonna be three tracks on this EP, all with freshened, stronger sound and brand new melodies. The band's next LP is expected to be released in 2017. Stay tuned! In a new video, UK death metal giants Abhorrent Decimation confirm they have appointed Ross McLennan (of Reign of Fury fame) as their new lead guitarist. McLennan, a long time friend of the band, enters the fold to complete the line up and begins to contribute material as the group start work on their Prosthetic Records debut. “I’m really happy to be joining the band at such an exciting time. I’ve known the guys quite a while and always admired their drive and professionalism. I hope that I can add something to that formula and I look forward to contributing towards making the next record a success.” Vocalist Ashley Scott added, “Ross has been a friend of the band for such a long time, it’s great to have him fill this position. As a unit, we are closer than we have ever been, the creative juices are flowing and we are ready to seriously up our game from the Miasmic era. The themes for this new one are all done, we have a considerable amount of demoed material already and we are just extremely excited to collaborate with Prosthetic on this release.” On top of this, the video contains some new audio, perhaps a sign that things are changing with the bands sound? Bass player David Archer, who will also be engineering and producing the upcoming album had this to say… “The dynamic of the band has changed recently and that has obviously altered the way that we do things. I really wanted to try to include influences from other genres and styles to make our sound a bit broader and more musical whilst still retaining that aggression of our previous material. The main thing that I want to achieve with this album is to create something that sounds a bit more involved and thought-out. Something dark, brooding and just a bit more reflective, whilst still being something that our fans can appreciate and that we will enjoy playing live.” Rhythm guitarist William Cooke added, “We’re bringing a lot more to the table this time around, the demos we have made so far are packed with new influences and I know our fans are going to love the general direction of this sound. It’s an extremely exciting time.” The band have also shared the final run of dates that they will play before they head into the studio to begin recording this winter, they also confirm that they are main support to Wombbath in London next year at The Black Heart Camden, 3rd February 2017, get that one in your diaries. The final shows are… 27 August 2016 - The Black Heart, London 22 October 2016 - TBA, Belgium 23 October 2016 - TBA, Belgium 28 October 2016 - The Facebar, Reading 30 October 2016 - Fulford Arms, York You can follow the NEW Abhorrent Decimation guitarist Ross (Jackson Endorsed player) on Instagram and Facebook links.
