Rock tinged melodic metalcore / post hardcore Vancouverites This Gun For Hire will be unleashing their debut album 'Something A Little More Sinister' on March 31, 2017. The band has already released singles 'Infection', 'Good Evening Deacon' and 'Barn Burner', which guitarist Tyler Burns has a brand new play-through for at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyKZKJ7l1vg
This Gun For Here is also offering fans a FREE download of 'Barn Burner' exclusively on PureGrainAudio.com at http://puregrainaudio.com/audio/this-gun-for-hire-barn-burner-free-song-download
Plus you can watch their music video for 'Barn Burner' at https://youtu.be/UO1qbqi3I2Q
The band comments on the video:
“You ever been to one of those parties where you feel like you’re on top of the world? Well this isn’t one of those parties. Welcome to Barn Burner! Where the drinks aren’t free and the girls ain’t pretty. Get ready for a night full of hazards, disasters, and bastards where there’s no going home! Barn Burner is This Gun for Hire‘s party jam that doesn’t let up, even for a second. Delving into the Canadian atmosphere of bush and house parties. You better dust off those dancing shoes and buckle up for a wild… ish ride. Special thanks to Kris Hellstrom for creating another awesome video for us.”
This Gun For Hire recorded 'Something A Little More Sinister' with engineer and producer Roger Swan (K-OS, Battle Axe) to present their first clutch of original songs to showcase to the world. The twelve track release displays a keen awareness of pace and dynamics. Moving deftly from the seething chaos of the eponymous opener to the grandiose and melodic epic of "To The Fallen And The Faithful', and back again for the staccato grunt of 'Barn Burner' to finish the record, This Gun For Hire leave you in little doubt as to their capabilities.
'Something A Little More Sinister' will be available through iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby.

Carach Angren comment: "After months of hard work we proudly reopen the doors to our haunted mansion to reveal the first deadly taste of our upcoming concept album. A unique horror story as you all expect and deserve from us, we consider this as one of the most terrifying tracks that we have created so far."
Carach Angren are furthermore revealing the cover art by renowned Romanian artist Costin Chioreanu and track-list of 'Dance and Laugh amongst the Rotten', which can both be viewed below.
The Dutch masters of horror are back with their most flamboyant album so far. On 'Dance and Laugh amongst the Rotten', Carach Angren are painting musical pictures that easily combine the grandiose depth of a Rembrandt with Van Gogh's maelstrom of whirling colours and the utter madness of Bosch. This lusciously seductive danse macabre will drag you in and never let go.
Carach Angren have employed all the sonic colours on their palette to dazzling effect. Their trademark whipping guitars are weaving harsh melodies and sinister soundscapes, which are beautifully contrasted by opulent keyboards and majestic orchestrations. That Till Lindemann (Rammstein) and Peter Tägtgren (Pain) have called upon the composition talent of Clemens "Ardek" Wijers is a telling sign of his outstanding mastery of the craft. Another signatory counterpoint is provided by Seregor's fierce rasping and shrieking vocals. Adding to the impact, Namtar has become a relentless driving force with his hard hitting yet intricate drumming. Each track on this album is a highlight on its own, while combined 'Dance and Laugh amongst the Rotten' simply shines.

Greek melodic Power metal masters Firewind, the group led by guitar-wizard and Ozzy Osbourne band member Gus G., are proud to announce the release of their upcoming 8th studio album, 'Immortals', which will be released on January 20th, 2017 via the band’s long-time label partner Century Media Records in Europe.
Gus G. checked in to comment about 'Immortals' and its artwork (which can be seen above!) as follows: “Today we're very happy to reveal the cover artwork for our 8th studio album. It's titled "Immortals" and it's the first concept album Firewind has ever made. Since we're from Greece, we thought it would be a cool idea to make a concept of Greek history and heritage. So, on this album we focused on the legendary battles of Thermopylae and Salamis during the 2nd Persian invasion of Greece in 480 BC. The artwork was once again created by our long-time collaborator, Gustavo Sazes and we feel it reflects the vibe we tried to capture on this album - Epic, Powerful, Glorious, Everlasting.”
'Immortals' marks the first time Firewind used an outside co-producer, working with Dennis Ward (Unisonic, Pink Cream 69), who not only engineered, mixed and mastered the album, but also co-wrote it together with Gus G.
Next to the standard jewel case CD and Digital Download formats, “Immortals” will also be released as LP on 180gr vinyl with a poster as well as the entire album on CD as bonus. Additionally, there will also be a limited edition Media-book CD with expanded booklet, a bonus track and 3 stickers. Look out for more details and pre-order details soon…
A first album’s online single is set to debut on November 25th, but in the meantime you can already check out a few sample riffs in a play-through clip that Gus G. recorded in co-operation with Toontrack’s EZmix 2 and the Metal Guitar Gods 4 EZmix Pack expansion here:
Gus G. and Toontrack have also launched a regular "Metal Month Masterclass" series of video lessons, of which the first two episodes can be seen here:

The Swedish melodic metal band Enbound just released a music video for the track "Give Me Light". The new Enbound album "The Blackened Heart" will be released on November 18th in Europe and North America through Inner Wound Recordings.
Lee Hunter [Lars Säfsund - Work of Art] - Vocals
Swede - Bass
Marvin Flowberg - Guitars
Mike Cameron Force [ex. Zonata] - Drums
"The Blackened Heart" contains a nice mix of heavy and up tempo songs, all with their own strong and grasping melodies. Enbound prove with "The Blackened Heart" that they can handle any angle of melodic metal. Like on their debut album, the characteristic powerful arrangements remain with the fantastic and emotional vocals from Lee Hunter on top.
The album was mastered by Jacob Hansen [Amaranthe, Volbeat, Primal Fear] and guests on the album includes Linnéa Wikström [Kamelot, Therion] and Mike LePond [Symphony X].
Celebrating their 10th anniversary next year, the melodic metal quartet Dead End Finland is releasing their third full-length album worldwide on the 4th of November 2016 via Inverse Records. The album bears the name Slaves To The Greed and continues on the same path with previous albums, but taking all the musical dimensions even further and deeper.
Slaves to the Greed´s production value is top notch, no wonder it took over two years to get this album done. Each instrument and each sound were perfectly validated. With number of tracks reaching over 200 in some songs, the sound of this album is absolutely massive.
Slaves to the Greed was recorded, like previous albums at the prestigious D-Studio and they are so very pleased with the result. The sound is fuller and heavier, however crystal clear and dynamic. The band really hope that the album is listened to as a whole, because it has been built that way. Still it is not exactly a concept album and every track has it´s own story.
Dead End Finland recommend to put your headphones on and spend a joyful 45 minutes of listening. They hope that this album will reveal something new every time you listen it. There's maybe not any hidden messages when playing it backwards, but if you turn it loud and play it with 150db volume, it sounds louder than Jumbo jet.

Finnish female fronted metal group, Evil Drive, have released a video for the new single of their, still untitled upcoming, second album to be released via Mighty Music worldwide on early 2017.
Recorded, mixed and mastered at Äänilaitos studio in Kotka with Juuso Elminen (Domination Black) "Anti-Genocide" presents Evil Drive's melodic metal reinforced by Viktoria Viren's over-the-top growling with one of the tightest guitar sections in the scene. The video was shot and filmed by the bands long time trusted friend Tino-Viljami Vanhala. Viktoria Viren comments: "Anti-Genocide has a totally different theme and feeling compared to our debut album 'The Land Of The Dead, which was all about the current world politics and war".
The new track is about the history of the American Indians and about the fate they had to suffer when the "white men came and took over their land". "Anti-Genocide" also presents the bands updated line-up which now features guitarist Juha-Pekka "J-P" Pusa who recently replaced the band's original guitarist Niko Huusari.
Ville Wiren comments:
"The new line-up makes the band sound better than ever. J-P definitely brings us a lot of new energy and ideas and helps the band to find a completely new level. We've finally found ourselves, our musical style and finally have access to all the musical tools we've ever wanted: strong growling vocals, two great guitarists, and a great rhythm section. We trust that our upcoming album will be a turning point for Evil Drive, and we are excited to be with Mighty Music for this new chapter".
