Canadian post-metal band Zero Fire have released a lyric video for their track "Disaster Symphony". The song is taken from their album Second Sun which will be released this Friday. Watch the video here: https://www.moshville.co.uk/video/2019/03/lyric-video-premiere-zero-fire-disaster-symphony/ Pre-order here: https://zerofire.bandcamp.com/ Zero Fire is a band whose music strives to combine hard hitting riffs with soaring vocal melodies, all wrapped up in a package where feel, groove and flow is paramount. Born from a collaboration between singer/guitarist Graham King and drummer Erik Thorkildsen, this band conjures up a hard rock sound reminiscent of the 90s and 2000s, yet still has a style all its own. After sharing the stage with bands like Silent Planet, Hail the Sun and Mandroid Echostar, Zero Fire's new release, Second Sun, shows them expanding and evolving. With riffs to make you bang your head and melodies that won't leave your brain, the band hopes this is an EP that makes you say "Damn, I want to listen to that again" right after it's finished. https://zerofire.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/zerofiremusic/

The EP was previously only made available on bandcamp and now it will see a proper release on CD format under the banner of Japanese doom specialized label Weird Truth Productions. This EP Features Sigh mastermind Mirai Kawashima and Singaporean darkwave prodigy Microchip Terror on synthnoises. Stream "Unstructured Dissemination" On Bandcamp AT THIS LOCATION Formed in early 2017, to simply pigeonhole Onset as a “doom band would” just be scratching the surface; the influences brought forward to the band are extremely diverse, with an almost no-holds-barred attitude and seeping in emotive passages surging into post-rock territory while still staying remotely under the radar of the doom genre itself. The tempo and the vibe embody the feeling of melancholy and dread. The “Unstructured Dissemination” EP showcases two imposing tracks clocking at over 25 minutes in length, as well as an undaunted attempt to record them in a completely live and rehearsal-like environment. Another very integral part of the Onset sound comes from the collaborative effort of synthwave artist Microchip Terror, who provided a very cinematic approach amongst the wash of fuzzed-out guitars and wall of drums, thus giving the entire EP an incredible spectrum of soundscape. Also featuring Mirai Kawashima from Sigh on additional keys/synth on both the intro and outro tracks. The cover artwork for “Unstructured Dissemination” was designed by Branca Studio (Paradise Lost, Marty Friedman, Foo Fighters, Confrontational, etc) teaming up with the band’s concept and vision perfectly. “Unstructured Dissemination” will be released on CD version under Japanese seminal doom label Weird Truth Productions on November 28, 2018. Set for an album release on September 28th 2018 via Argonauta Records, with their solid and eclectic attitude Demande À La Poussière deliver an impressive hypnotic yet aggressive sound which move from Blackened Post Metal to Sludge and Doom, with an apocalyptic vibe of ambient bleakness. Dive into the dark sound of Demande À La Poussière and stream their brand new song 'Le Parfum Des Cites Perdues' right HERE! Says the band: “Le parfum des cités perdues is a track about remembrance and anger against our haunted past. This is a part of rage and heaviness about the strangeness of sad feedback. Music lower and louder than a nightmare. Follow the dark side of our memory...“ Demande À La Poussière is a Blackened Post-Core band founded in 2017 by members of The Great Old Ones, Wurm or Omrade. Members are: Jeff (vocals and guitar - The Great Old Ones / Spectrale), Edgard Chevallier (machine - ex Würm / Gloomy Hellium Bath), Vincent Baglin (Moshi-Moshi-battery), Krys (chant-Nerv / Omrade) and Jiu (Bass -ex No return), the band quickly recorded a first album at Lower Tones Place Studio in September 2017. The band has diverse influences to offer a unique style: Combining the heaviness of Sludge and Doom, the blackness of Black Metal, the intensity of Post Hardcore tinged post rock atmosphere. This music is impacting, encompassing and intense. The name of the band is taken from a book by John Fante, but there is no connection to see it as the deep darkness of the music leads to other feelings. www.argonautarecords.com www.facebook.com/DALPdoom Skillfully fusing the aesthetics of black metal with the atmospherics of post-rock in order to create a soundscape that is both breathtaking and mesmerizing, Norwegian blackgazers Avast are set to release their debut full-length album Mother Culture on October 26th through Dark Essence Records. As a prelude to the release of Mother Culture, Dark Essence Records has released the title track as a single, which is available from and can be heard at https://avastband.bandcamp.com/track/mother-culture. Hailing from Stavanger, Norway, Avast consists of Hans Olaf Myrvang (Agenda) on bass and vocals, Trond Salte (Agenda), Ørjan Lund (Nag) on guitars, and Stian Steensnæs (Lik) on drums, Avast is a band that reviewers and promoters place in a variety of genres. Whilst the band's roots lie in punk rock and hardcore, it would be safe to say that blackgaze and post-black metal are genres that could be applied to Avast, given that Avast's lyrical themes are not centred around the usual black metal topics, but tend more towards a philosophical and poetical take on social and environmental issues. The members of Avast themselves describe Mother Culture as:- “a concept album that examines the myths upon which modern civilization is based”, and “an apocalyptic tale about the rise and fall of human civilization, and how we have exploited the Earth’s resources to such a degree that we are now standing on the brink of our own extinction. Musically the record borrows equally from the black metal and post-rock genres, and lyrically it draws inspiration from Daniel Quinn’s philosophical novel Ishmael.” Artwork by Ole Nymoen. Beginning in the United Kingdom on April 23rd, circling through the continent, and closing with London's acclaimed Desertfest on May 5th, this tour will be Snow Burial's second trip across the pond. Snow Burial recently recorded at the famed Electrical Audio in early 2018, crafting a split 7-inch with Iowa City’s doom maestros Aseethe (Thrill Jockey). The tapes and vinyl will be released courtesy of Hand Of Death Records. The band commented, "We are beyond excited to get back to Europe and hit the road with our good friends in Monolithian. The opportunity to be a part of Desertfest and spend two weeks getting loud across an ocean is amazing and humbling. Add to that the chance to bring with us a brand new split tape with Aseethe from Hand of Death Records and we're on top of the world. " Formed after a Shiner reunion show, Snow Burial established themselves in the American Midwest scene and released twin EPs Oxblood Siren (2013) and Oxblood Tides (2014). Through promoting the EPs and extensive regional touring, the band earned a reputation for their crushing sound and performances. Following positive reviews, tours, and airplay, the band released their inaugural LP Victory In Ruin in January 2016. Snow Burial continued touring the US and UK in 2017, featuring an opening slot for Scott Kelly and Sanford Parker’s project Mirrors for Psychic Warfare, with coverage from Metal Hammer Magazine and multiple blogs. Their conceptual, cinematic live show has historically been built upon a strong visual component... but that was just the beginning of a journey which is now reaching the next level: Alba - Les Ombres Errantes is the first full length movie directed by singer and guitar player Emmanuel Jessua. And his band, Hyno5e, has turned down their amps, or switched them off entirely, to provide the stunning seventy-five-minute soundtrack for this ambitious project. The soundtrack to the movie, performed by Hyno5e s acoustic alter ego band A Backward Glance On A Travel Road (featuring the same members as Hyno5e) captures the essence of a whirlwind that blurs and reunites age, dreams, and reality. In advance if the soundtrack's April 6th release, Decibel Magazine offers up opening track, the eleven-plus minute "Who Wakes Up From This Dream Does Not Bear My Name," for public delight lauding a band that churns out, "some of the best epic soundscapes this side of the ocean. Or, technically, that side of the ocean." Get swept away by "Who Wakes Up From This Dream Does Not Bear My Name" at Decibel Magazine RIGHT HERE. If you missed it, view the video for "Los Heraldos Negros," with images from the film, at THIS LOCATION. Alba - Les Ombres Errantes will see release via Pelagic Records on 2xLP, CD, and digital formats. Preorders are available now. Emmanuel Jessua grew up in Bolivia, where Alba - Les Ombres Errantes was filmed with a team of seven French and Bolivian volunteers, on a budget of only 22.000€. The result is a breathtaking sonic and visual journey through the otherworldly landscapes of one of the most intriguing places on earth; a journey that orbits around the memories and reflections of a man contemplating about the eternal loss of childhood. "The idea of this movie was born in the Amazon forest, precisely in Rurenabaque, on the terrace of a small hotel on the Beni river shore," relays Jessua. "I was only ten years old and had been living with my family in Bolivia for more than five years. I was experiencing life with an incredible intensity, in a fantastic environment... with this film, I wanted to capture the constant exceeding of limits that I feel when I'm in Bolivia; the limits between the gods and the human, between sanity and madness, between the past and the present. It is in the religious and musical syncretism of the Oruro carnival (where my mother used to dance each year) that this exceeding of limits can be witnessed the best, where myth and reality mingle, and where the protagonists lose their sensation of time or space." http://www.hypno5e.com http://www.facebook.com/Hypno5e http://www.instagram.com/hypno5e http://www.pelagic-records.com/ http://www.facebook.com/pelagicrecords |
